New TV show Kaamdhenu Gaumata is all set to air from August 11. The show is being produced by Prem Sagar and Shiv Sagar, features actress Harleen Kaur Rekhi in the titular role of Kaamdhenu Devi.
The actress spoke about being part of the show and said, "It's an absolute blessing. The story of Kaamdhenu Gaumata has never been told in its entirety on Indian television."
"People have only seen fragments, never the full truth. What Prem Sagar sir,
Ramanand Sagar
sir, Shiv Ji, and Neelam ma'am are doing is remarkable. Their vision and dedication are awe-inspiring. If you look at Ramayan, it's still a benchmark even today. I truly hope our efforts, from pre-production to post-production, resonate with audiences in the same way," she added.
She also confessed that working on the show deepened her spiritual beliefs. She said, "I've always been spiritual—there's a difference between being religious and being spiritual, and I connect with both."
"I've been performing in Ramleela for the last 10–12 years during
Navratri
, so mythology has always been close to my heart. But this show took it to another level. I felt like I explored a whole new version of myself. It deepened my inner connection with the universe," she added.

She further said, "I bonded with Kapila (our Gaumata) on day one itself. Though I was always fond of Gaumata, I never had the courage to be in close proximity to cows — maybe I was just uncomfortable because I've never had pets or been around animals closely. But after spending 4–5 months on set with her, the experience transformed me. Even when my parents visited the set, I made sure they met her. She was so loving and calm.
Parting away from her was painful too — she could even recognize me just by hearing my footsteps or voice. It's taken my perspective to a whole new level," Harleen ended.

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Bride & Prejudice Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Bride & Prejudice is a vibrant romantic comedy-drama that reimagines Jane Austen's beloved classic in a colourful Bollywood style. Directed by Gurinder Chadha, the film infuses Austen's timeless tale of love, misunderstandings, and societal expectations with rich Indian cultural elements, seamlessly blending them with an international sensibility. Set against lively song-and-dance sequences, it follows an innocent yet heartfelt love story that blossoms amidst a backdrop of family bonds, cultural clashes, and charming humour, making it a cross-cultural celebration of romance. Lagaan In Lagaan, amidst the fierce battle against injustice and the tension of a high-stakes cricket match, Aamir Khan's Bhuvan and Elizabeth, the compassionate British woman played by Rachel Shelley, share a love story that is tender, unspoken, and deeply moving. Their connection blooms not through grand declarations but in quiet glances, gentle encouragement, and a mutual respect that transcends language, culture, and circumstance. Elizabeth's kindness becomes Bhuvan's silent source of strength, while his sincerity and integrity win her heart in ways she never expected. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 sparks outrage over Smriti Irani's body double, fans question, 'Why have you made this show...'

As the cult classic Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 has made its comeback, viewers are elated as they are witnessing a hint of magic, nostalgia, and emotional connection that has been keeping them glued to their screens. As soon as this sequel hit Indian television, it created such curiosity and excitement that within the first week of the show, it climbed to the No. 1 spot in TRP ratings. Its TRP is proof of the show's loyal fan base and the charm that is still alive. But besides taking the audience down memory lane, this show is now in headlines for sparking controversy, leaving fans disappointed and questioning its creative decisions. The reason behind this backlash is the extensive use of a body double for the lead actress, Smriti Irani, in a family scene. Netizens were quick to take notice of this, and as per the viewers, Smriti appeared less on screen, with the double being featured prominently, even in close-up shots. Viewers were not happy with the move and expressed their frustration on various platforms. Netizens React to the Extensive Use of Body Doubles One viewer wrote, 'Aakhir is show ko banane ki kya zarurat thi. Lead actress interested nahi, ya unke paas time nahi to…' Another commented that the makers seemed to be cutting costs: 'Lagta hai ki makers budget kam karna chahte hain. Isliye Smriti ko salary kam leni chahiye thi kyunki unhein abhi limelight ki zarurat hai.' Although people criticised this move, the fact that people enjoyed this show cannot be overlooked. Some fans praised the revival, appreciating the return of the Tulsi–Mihir pairing, which evoked fond memories of the original series. Others were excited about the introduction of new characters, finding them a refreshing addition. But despite garnering major love and appreciation, the debate over the body double remained heated. Viewers argued that if the lead actress couldn't commit fully to shooting, the essence of the show was compromised. They questioned why the makers would launch such a high-profile project without ensuring the full involvement of its star. This mixed reaction of the audience emphasises the challenges of reviving a legendary show. This backlash also shows that while a sequel can bring back loyal fans, it is only consistent quality that can sustain them.
