Egypt to finalize airport management deal with private sector by mid-March

Arab Finance: The Egyptian government expects to finalize an agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) before mid-March to offer the management of 11 airports to the private sector, Egyptian Minister of Aviation Sameh Hefny announced in press conference.
Hefny stated that the first phase of the plan will begin with Hurghada Airport, followed by Sphinx Airport.
He also revealed that leading international firms, including the three largest airport operators in Europe, have expressed interest in managing Egyptian airports.
The initiative aligns with Egypt's strategy to enhance airport operations and attract foreign investment in the aviation sector.

Arab Finance: Speed Medical Company incurred 30.94% year-on-year (YoY) lower consolidated net losses after tax and non-controlling interest at EGP 32.428 million in the first half (H1) of 2025, as per the financial results. The reported net losses were compared with EGP 46.962 million in H1 2024. Loss per share dropped to EGP 0.019 in H1 2025 from EGP 0.028 a year earlier, while the operating revenues grew to EGP 22.516 million from EGP 22.298 million. As for the standalone financials, the net losses after tax retreated to EGP 27.200 million in the first six months of 2025 from EGP 42.047 million. Arab Finance: The gold prices in Egypt maintained its stability on Monday, with the 24-karat gold hitting EGP 5,165.75 per gram for buying and EGP 5,188.5 for selling, according to iSagha's data. The 22-karat gold price amounted to EGP 4,735.25 for purchasing and EGP 4,756.25 per gram for selling. Meanwhile, the 21-karat gold price hit EGP 4,520 per gram for buying and EGP 4,540 for selling. The 18-karat gold price recorded EGP 3,874.25 per gram for purchasing and EGP 3,891.5 for selling.
