Four people are facing multiple charges after RCMP seized more than one kilogram of cocaine and cash following a traffic stop and home searches in and around Yorkton.
On June 16, police conducted a traffic stop on Highway 10 about five kilometres south of Yorkton in connection with an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, an RCMP news release said.
A man and a woman were both arrested following the stop, police said. Later the same day, officers executed search warrants at homes on the 200 block of 4th Avenue North and 100 block of 3rd Avenue South in Yorkton.
During searches of the two residences and vehicle officers located and seized 1,177 grams of cocaine and more than $75,700 in cash along with other drug trafficking paraphernalia, RCMP said.
As a result, three men, aged 31, 29 and 21, along with a 37-year-old woman, were each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, RCMP said.
The adult passenger of the vehicle was not charged.
The three men made their first court appearances in Yorkton on June 18, the woman will make her first appearance on July 21, RCMP said.
