Get to Know Lotfy Labib's Latest Health Update

Yara Sameh Mounir Makram, actor and a member of the Actors' Syndicate, has shared an update about the current health condition of veteran Egyptian actor Lotfy Labib. "Thank God, the actor Lotfi Labib is fine. While he is still in the hospital, his condition, however, is stable,' Makram said in a statement on Monday. The beloved actor's family also revealed that he had developed a severe case of cough due to a past laryngeal cancer. He is prohibited from speaking until his condition improves, confirming that he is gradually improving. Mohamed El-Deeb, the actor's manager, confirmed that Labib underwent medical tests and was unable to speak. He asked his fans and loved ones to pray for him. On Sunday, Labib was admitted to the intensive care (ICU) after suffering a health scare. He underwent the medical tests to determine the cause of his illness. Father Boutros Daniel, director of the Catholic Centre for Cinema in Egypt, has shared an update on the actor's health, explaining that he suffered a sudden health issue in the past hours that required his transfer to the hospital, where he is in the ICU and banned from receiving visitors. He added that Labib is attached to his fans, loves them, and appreciates them, and asked the actor's fans to pray for him. "The best thing they can do now is pray for his speedy recovery," Labib noted. Born on August 18, 1947, Labib is an Egyptian stage, television, and film actor. The acclaimed actor has worked profusely, in many supporting but memorable roles, with over 200 film and television credits. Through many of his screen appearances, the veteran actor has performed admirably and has shown himself to be one of the strongest performers of his generation. On March 29, Labib announced his retirement from acting due to his health condition. "In my current health condition, if I get a role, I won't be able to play it because I prefer that my image remains as it was to the fans," he said. He made his final onscreen appearance in the 2024 film ' Ana W Ibn Khalti ' ("Me and My Cousin"). Hanady Mehanna, Bayoumi Fouad, Sayed Ragab, Mimi Gamal, Sara Abdelrahman, Ali Loka, and Enaam Salousa round out the cast. Ahmed Saleh directed from a script by Doaa Abdel Wahab and Amr Abu Zeid. The official logline for the film states, 'Engage in the traditional, age-old rivalry through several comedic situations to prove who's better, only to discover in the end that the real victory is family and that everyone is best loved by those around them.' read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean
