Born on February 19, 1985, Maher began singing as a child by presenting songs by iconic singer Umm Kulthum.
She was discovered at the age of fifteen and enrolled at the Conservatory of Arabic Music to begin her singing career.
The acclaimed singer soon met composer Mohamed Diae, whom she eventually married and became the father of her son, Omar. She filed for divorce a year later.
She recorded her first song in 2006 and received the support of Egyptian music icon Ammar El Sherei, who she considers to be her spiritual father.
In June 2021, Maher quit music following the death of her close-knit aunt and calling off her engagement, but later on, she backtracked from her decision and presented her first concert in Al-Alamein on July 29, 2022.

Spanning nearly 500,000 square metres, it is designed as Egypt's flagship cultural landmark for the 21st century and a global hub for heritage, education, and tourism. The museum will showcase over 100,000 artefacts spanning from prehistoric times to the Greco-Roman period. At its heart lies the complete collection of Tutankhamun's treasures—more than 5,000 items—presented together for the first time since their discovery in 1922. Aug 21, 2025 Palestinian-Egyptian artist Ma-Beyn has never confined herself to a single style, continuously exploring a wide range of sonic identities while weaving thought-provoking lyricism rich with hidden motifs and layered metaphors that often touch on personal, social, and political topics. Her self-titled debut album, over 14 months in the making, underscores her refusal to be placed in one box. The album consists of 13 tracks, each presenting her bouncing between genres and styles, from jazz, rock and hip-hop to R&B, synth-pop, folklore and drum n bass, and trying to find her footing along the way.
