How to Get and Use Weapon Skins in Genshin Impact
With the arrival of Genshin Impact version 5.7, HoYoverse finally delivers a feature we've all been waiting for. Here's all you need to know about earning, equipping and styling your favorite characters with these limited-time visual upgrades.
What Are Weapon Skins in Genshin Impact?
Weapon skins are a brand new customization feature among a few other new things to Genshin Impact, allowing players to change the look of their weapons without changing any stats. Each skin is elementally themed and tailored to fit each weapon type, sword, claymore, polearm, catalyst, and bow, bringing a new level of visual flair to your team.
These skins are currently exclusive to the version 5.7 limited-time event Stygian Onslaught and not available permanently, increasing both challenge and exclusivity to their appeal.
Unlocking Weapon Skins
Players need to complete the Dire VI difficulty of the Stygian Onslaught event to have a chance to unlock these weapon skins. This is the peak and the toughest punishment level, said to be harder than Floor 12 of the Spiral Abyss. Skins, for instance, are earned by finishing this mode in one of two ways:
4-Star Skins:
Awarded just for beating Dire VI.
5-Star Skins
: Awarded to players who clear Dire VI in Under 180 Seconds in All Boss Fight Stages. These include a special glowing treatment.
All weapon skins for each element and type
E
ach elemental weapon skin set consists of seven elemental variations per weapon type for a total of 35 unique designs.
Temporary Treasures: Weapon Skins Are Time-Limited
Sword of Descension, swordskin appreciated Genshin's 5.7 spin on weapon skins. Though the best part about Genshin's weapon skins may be how surprisingly not-permanent they are. This means that these cosmetics will expire at the end of the patch, even for players who earned them. It appears meant to keep the exclusivity but offset the challenge of acquiring one.
How to Equip Weapon Skins
Here's how to equip your earned skins.
Load up the character menu.
Just click the hanger icon in the bottom right corner.
From the Dressing Room, head to the Weapon tab.
Select the skin, provided you've unlocked the corresponding Radiant Phantasm item.
Keep in mind, cosmetics only change how you look.
These changes are purely quality of life, they do not change any weapon or character statistics.
Which Skins Are Available?
Some standout skin names include:
Serpent Devourer – Sublimation (Sword)
Ardent Storm – Sublimation (Claymore)
Shattered Moon – Sublimation (Polearm)
Hallowed Fetters – Sublimation (Catalyst)
Starpiercer – Sublimation (Bow)
They all have a standard and a glowing (5-star) version, unlocked by degree of performance in the Dire VI.

Honkai Star Rail leak reveals Dan Heng Permansor Terrae kit and Eidolons
Image via: HoYoverse The Astral Express carries winds full of rumors about a formidable new ally- Dan Heng Permansor Terrae. Styled in lore as the Chrysos Heir, guarding Earth's Coreflame, the leaked kit of this soon-to-be-released unit hints that he represents a Preservation Path like never seen, a walking fortress whose shields are built from the strength of his sheer Attack power and not Defense. A Story Rooted in Permanence Prior to his expected arrival on the battlefield, in the drip marketing stages, Permansor Terrae was described as the chest of Georios and the body of a walking dragon, bearing a thousand years of torment to keep a dying world from crashing down. It is a story mixed with stoic endurance and mythic imagery that sets the character up as one who holds the line but walks with the allies onto survival. Preservation with a Twist Whereas traditional Preservation characters tend to build their shields from defense, leaks suggest that Dan Heng Permansor Terrae builds his from ATK, giving new possibilities to team compositions. His leaked base stats fit with this hybrid playstyle: HP: 1047 ATK: 485 DEF: 848 SPD: 97 Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae Full Kit Breakdown & Early Value Discussion | Honkai: Star Rail Abilities Built for Endurance and Support Basic Attack: Deals physical damage to a single foe. Skill : Grants the Bondmate buff to an ally and shields all allies for three turns. These shields can stack but are capped at 300% of the current highest value. Ultimate : Deals Physical damage to all foes, and grants allies to deal offset damage with shields for three turns, boosting the 'Souldragon', a special follow-up attacker triggered on their turn. Traces for Tactical Depth Dan Heng Permansor Terrae's leaked Traces focus on speed, energy gain, and team support: Boosts the ATK of the 'Bondmate' by 15% after using his skill. Gains an Action Advance of 40% at the start of the battle. Enhances Souldragon turn rate and grants extra Energy when 'Bondmate' lands attacks. NEW BEST SHIELDER + BUFFER!? Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae Looks CRAZY & First Impressions (HSR) While players just have to wait to actually play him, these leaks show a Preservation character who blurs the line between damage dealer and protector. Since shields are tied to ATK scaling, Dan Heng Permansor Terrae may turn the ways players think about shield-centric strategies, especially in teams that rely Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. All treasure chest locations of Warbling Shores Styxia in Honkai Star Rail
Image via: HoYoverse Since the introduction of Warbling Shores Styxia in Honkai: Star Rail, the game's map has been transformed into a glittering wonderland submerged under vast mysteries. This place consists of shattered altars and candle-lit corridors, so it's more than a scenic detour: it's a treasure trove of Stellar Jade awaiting the eager explorer willing to pluck them from chests visible to the unsuspecting eye. If you're the type of player who demands every chest in the game to be opened, then this guide will walk you through every single nook and cranny in Styxia's B1 and F1 levels, allowing you to rub your pockets into a full inventory. B1: Beneath the Waves and Among the Ruins Warbling Shores' B1 level feels like an ancient drowned city: a labyrinth of labyrinths, pillars, walls, and ancient relics. The journey starts at the Seabed of Luminous Remains, where the first chest lies tucked between two broken pillars. And here is where a subtle exploration pays off. Double back, for a treasure chest sits beside some candles, with a side exit through a broken wall on the other side just waiting in a quiet hallway. The deeper you go, the more terrain rewards your persistence: One chest rests next to a locking door, glumly watching over it is an enemy, while another chest rides on you timing your arrival with the Dawn cycle at the Golden Scapegoat puzzle. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like The Key to a Healthier Heart (Most People Ignore) Undo Honkai Star Rail Warbling Shores Styxia All Chest Locations & Spirithief Location Keep your eye out for verticality, too. There's an elevator and deep dive to hide away the last two B1 treasures. One can be found halfway down a cool, dim corridor; the other is perfectly content chilling at the very depths of an underwater pool. F1: Halls of Marble and Memory What F1 loses in aquatic ruins, it makes up for in grand architecture. Marble staircases, courtyards, and huge doors dominate the layout of this floor, and the chests blend right into the very ornate environment. Start at Revelry's Keep, and descend the stairs to spot your first chest. A short jump over to the Passage of Treasures waypoint lays hands on another comfortably placed chest beside the anchor itself. Behind the huge doors nearby, the chests never seem to stop, one is tucked to the right on a quiet path, whereas the other is sitting down just before a staircase on a side bridge. The real thing is to resist being funneled by the architecture. While grand stairs and elevators beckon, detours lead to rewards, a chest awaits behind a left turn before the lift, or one nearby, hiding near the fountain in the Ariose Fountain Courtyard. ALL Treasure Chests in "Warbling Shores" Styxia - Honkai Star Rail In the last stretch, hardened explorers should check the Stagnant Shadow stage, a chest lurking just behind an enemy, daring the brave to engage. Last is easy to miss. A simple walk behind the second table in the following chamber will let a person spot it, quietly waiting for someone with fine eyes. Besides the thrill of discovery, these chests give you a steady stream of Stellar Jade, credits, and consumables, the stuff that really moves your characters forward. But almost equally importantly, they immerse you in Styxia's multi-layered design and challenge you to appreciate every nook, staircase, and ruin. So whether you're headed down or up, remember, in Warbling Shores, every path, no matter how small or big, can lead to something big. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Genshin Impact 6.0 leak reveals Nod-Krai's game-changing resonance buff
(Image via miHoYo) The Genshin Impact 6.0 hype train is already off the rails, and it's not even here yet. The upcoming Nod-Krai region isn't just bringing jaw-dropping landscapes and fresh characters like Flins, Lauma, and Aino. Leaks are hinting at a new resonance buff that could completely shake up team-building strategies. And no, you don't even need a full Nod-Krai squad to trigger it. Here's the tea. What the Leak Suggests According to trusted community sources, Nod-Krai characters will have a unique resonance effect that activates when non-Nod-Krai characters use their Elemental Skill or Burst. Once triggered, this buff increases Lunar Reaction damage for all party members for up to 20 seconds, with a rumored boost reaching 36% depending on team stats. Rumored Scaling Details If the leak is accurate, the resonance buff won't be a flat bonus—it'll scale differently based on element: Pyro, Electro, Cryo : +0.9% for every 100 ATK Hydro : +0.6% for every 1000 Max HP Geo : +1% for every 100 DEF Anemo & Dendro : +2.25% for every 100 Elemental Mastery This means stat-focused builds could heavily influence how powerful the buff becomes in combat. GENSHIN IS FINALLY BUFFING OLD CHARACTERS! Genshin 6.0+ Why Non-Nod-Krai Units Matter Interestingly, the buff can only be triggered by characters from other nations, making strong synergy with existing units possible. Supports like Yelan, Furina, Nahida, Kazuha, and Sucrose could become highly valuable in Nod-Krai teams. Players are already speculating optimal comps for upcoming characters like Lauma, Flins, and Aino—all expected to debut in 6.0. What This Could Mean for Gameplay If the leaks hold true, the Nod-Krai resonance could: Encourage mixed-region teams instead of mono-Nod-Krai squads. Increase the importance of stat-optimized supports. Boost overall reaction-based damage for more dynamic playstyles. It's a potential shift in how players approach team building, pushing for creative synergy between old favorites and new Nod-Krai arrivals. As always, this is unverified information. HoYoverse could tweak or entirely scrap the mechanic before release. Still, if implemented, the Nod-Krai resonance buff could be one of the most impactful meta changes in recent updates, especially for reaction-heavy teams. Until then, all eyes are on Version 6.0's reveal for confirmation. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Watch Here!
