Vidić was speaking on The Overlap, brought to you by Sky Bet, when he spoke on his frustrations with Neville's annoying training ground habit.
Vidic had recently made the move to England from Russian outfit Spartak Moscow in 2006, and was struggling to adapt to Man Utd's morning training.
This discomfort was only made worse by Neville's incessant talking, which drove Vidic to snap back every day.
He said: "I did not realise why he was talking all the time when I come in in the morning.
"He comes in the dressing room and he is like - talking, talking, talking.
"I was like - 'Please Gaz, shut up!'"
Neville took the story in good spirits, cracking up before confirming: "It's true, every day!"
The training ground tension didn't slow the pair down on the pitch.
The duo made up half of the back line for one of English footballs greatest dynasties under Sir Alex Ferguson.

United won four Premier League titles during the duo's time at the club, including three in a row between the 06/07 and 08/09 seasons.
The Serb would go on to make 300 appearances for the Red Devils, cementing himself as one of the Premier League's best ever centre backs.

Marcus Rashford believes Man United are stuck in ‘no man's land'

Marcus Rashford, now on loan at Barcelona, has criticised Manchester United, stating the club is stuck 'in no man's land'. He attributes United's struggles to a lack of consistent principles and a reactionary approach to management and player recruitment. United endured their worst top-flight season in decades under Ruben Amorim, finishing 15th in the Premier League. Rashford suggests United should learn from Liverpool's patient approach with Jurgen Klopp, who was given time to implement his vision.

However, that falls well below Palace's valuation of the defender, even though he has just one year remaining on his deal at Selhurst Park. Even a £45m bid is not considered to be enough by the south Londoners. Guehi, 25, is yet to be convinced a move to Anfield this summer would be beneficial, given that it is a World Cup year. But it would also mean that Palace miss out on landing a fee for one of their star players, which means they could drop their asking price late on. That must be balanced with the prospect of losing both Guehi and Eberechi Eze in the same window. Palace would be reluctant to lose both in the same summer, just as they did not want to sell Guehi and Joachim Andersen, who left for Fulham, a year ago. The two sides to Isak's STRIKE story | Transfers Exposed Asked about Guehi's future last weekend, chairman Steve Parish said: "For players of that calibre to leave on a free, it's a problem for us unfortunately. "We had another bid [for Guehi] in January but that was a different situation. "We'll just have to see what happens. But, you know, it needs a new contract or a conclusion of some kind." Palace manager Oliver Glasner insisted last week that Guehi had not asked to leave the club this summer.
