Faith, football, and a record-breaking season? Saquon Barkley just connected all three. The Eagles star running back recently opened up about how becoming a Christian gave him something he didn't even know he was missing—clarity.
And according to Saquon, it's no coincidence that his spiritual shift came during the biggest year of his NFL career.
Saquon Barkley says finding faith brought clarity and his best football ever followed
Speaking to golf creator Grant Horvat, Barkley got real about his personal growth, saying:
'I just became a Christian not too long ago… I don't think it's a coincidence that the best year I had in my career, I found my faith. It gives me some clarity in life.'
He didn't hold back, Saquon made it clear that his success on the field isn't just about training or talent anymore.
It's about something deeper.
He backed it up with the best numbers of his career
And when he says 'best year,' he means it.
In the 2024 season:
Barkley rushed for over 2,000 yards
Scored 15 touchdowns
Helped lead the Eagles to a
Super Bowl LIX victory
And took home the
NFL Offensive Player of the Year
award
Coincidence? According to Saquon, not at all. He credits his growth as a Christian for keeping him focused and grounded through it all.
His agent is also his pastor and that made all the difference
Saquon shared that his agent, Ed Barry, also happens to be a pastor and that relationship has helped him explore his faith in an even deeper way. Through regular Bible studies and spiritual guidance, Barkley says he's learning more every day.

'I'm not going to sit here and tell you I know the Bible in and out… It's something I'm learning… But having a relationship with God and understanding who Jesus is—that's what's giving me peace and clarity.'
In a league where everything is measured by numbers, yards, touchdowns, rings, Saquon Barkley is now powered by something different: faith. And if 2024 is any indication, that shift just might be the secret behind the best version of him we've ever seen.

Steelers acquire DK Metcalf in major NFL trade—Here's why $132M deal makes sense

Steelers land DK Metcalf in bold trade, lock him in $132M deal (Image via: Getty Images) The Pittsburgh Steelers shocked the NFL by acquiring wide receiver DK Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick. Shortly after the trade, the Steelers handed Metcalf a massive four-year, $132 million extension. While some critics call it an overpay, the deal's structure may prove to be a win for Pittsburgh. Why DK Metcalf's contract could be a long-term steal for Pittsburgh The Steelers didn't just trade for a superstar, they bought flexibility, leverage, and long-term control. While DK Metcalf's $132 million extension with $60 million guaranteed makes him the fourth-highest-paid wide receiver in the league, there's more to the deal than meets the eye. ESPN's Dan Graziano believes the structure of Metcalf's contract makes it surprisingly team-friendly. After 2026, none of his salary is guaranteed, giving the Steelers an escape hatch. According to Over the Cap, Pittsburgh could release him after June 1, 2027, and free up $26.5 million in cap space. That means the team gets Metcalf's prime years without committing to his decline. Steelers Sights & Sounds: Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf Make Steelers Practice Debuts With the wide receiver market exploding, it's also a forward-thinking move. While Metcalf ranks fourth in average annual value now, there's a high likelihood he drops outside the top five by next season. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Protecting Our Oceans Rolex Read Now Undo His contract might seem expensive today but could look like a bargain in just 12 months. Beyond the dollars, the football impact is undeniable. Metcalf, still just 27, brings elite size, speed, and red-zone dominance. He gives Pittsburgh a legitimate WR1—something the team hasn't had since the peak of Antonio Brown. The addition boosts a Steelers offense looking to contend immediately. Pittsburgh pulled off the trade by parting with just a second-round pick. In today's high-demand trade market, acquiring a Pro Bowl-caliber receiver on a long-term deal for that price is rare. Also Read: Breaking: Trey Hendrickson turns down $28M from Bengals, future in Cincinnati now uncertain The Steelers' blockbuster trade for DK Metcalf may look risky at first glance, but the deal's smart structure, cap flexibility, and long-term upside make it one of the most strategic moves of 2025. If Metcalf performs as expected, Pittsburgh could come away looking like one of the NFL's sharpest front offices. Game On Season 1 continues with Mirabai Chanu's inspiring story. 'If I could take that one back': Stephen Curry once shared rare regret about daughter Riley Curry

Image credit: Ayesha Curry/Instagram Stephen Curry was a new dad when he led the Golden State Warriors to victory in the NBA Finals in 2015. At the time, he wanted his two-year-old daughter Riley — now 12—to share in the joy of his success. He loved bringing her to post-game press conferences and letting her play around as he addressed the media from the podium. However, years later, the father of four admitted he regretted giving her the spotlight too soon and too much. Stephen Curry reflects on giving Riley the spotlight Reflecting on that joyous moment when he lifted the NBA Championship trophy in 2015, Curry also recalled the one thing he wishes had gone differently. He acknowledged that Riley shouldn't have been exposed to so much media attention at such a young age — especially when she wasn't fully aware of what was happening around her. In a 2019 interview with The Undefeated, Curry said, 'One thing I do technically regret in terms of how fast this all came is when I brought Riley on the podium. I've always wanted to share what I get to do, and all the experiences I have, with my family. I didn't know how much that would blow up and how much of a splash she [would make] on the scene.' He continued, 'If I could take that one back, I probably would, just because my goal is to give my kids the best chance at success and at seeing the world in the proper way. Trying to give our kids the best chance to be successful and have a normal life in terms of treating people the right way, having respect, not getting too big headed and feeling like everything's about them.' Like her father Stephen Curry, Riley also became a social media star in 2015 NBA fans may remember how Riley quickly became a social media darling, charming the world with her playful antics while sitting on her father's lap during those press conferences. One of her most viral moments was a hilarious bit at the podium where she made faces with her fingers and eyes — a clip that remains one of the most beloved videos from that championship run. Her mother, Ayesha Curry, occasionally shares glimpses of her practice sessions on social media. Riley is the eldest of the Curry siblings, with a younger sister, Ryan (9), and two younger brothers, Canon (6) and Caius (1). Game On Season 1 continues with Mirabai Chanu's inspiring story.
