The World Cup-winner's entourage asserted that everything they did was by the book in a statement they issued and added that Mbappe had always chosen to donate in full his bonuses for playing for France at international level and that the money went to charitable organisations and security personnel in tow.

Mbappe would hope for a better turnout for Madrid in the upcoming campaign after the Spanish giants were knocked out of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 by PSG in the semifinals, before the Parisian giants ultimately went down to Chelsea in the final at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in the revamped edition of the quadrennial spectacle for clubs across the globe.
