Great Little Escapes ceases trading as Atol holder prompting CAA advisory to agents
The CAA is standing by to deal with agent queries after Great Little Escapes ceased trading as an Atol holder late last week.
The company, based in Sandhurst, ceased being an Atol holder on 13 June. It held the brands Your Holidays, Great Little Escapes, Tunisia First and websites themaldives.co.uk, yourholidays.co.uk, thecaribbean.com and greatlittleescapes.co.uk.
It is a wholly separate company and brand to Great Little Breaks.
The CAA said: 'If you are a travel agent of Great Little Escapes and you are currently holding consumer payments which you have not yet paid to Great Little Escapes, you must not use these funds to refund consumers until you have received instructions from the Air Travel Trust.'
It added: 'Travel agents will be individually contacted by the CAA with specific instructions for these bookings.'
The authority also told agents not to submit fresh claims while waiting for more information 'as these will be rejected'.
Great Little Escapes specialises in city breaks, while Your Holidays has a diverse portfolio, ranging from hen and stag parties, LGBT holidays and packages for bridge players.
Its latest financials show the company lost nearly £77,000 last year and recorded a deficit of £186,000 in 2023.
Details of its latest Atol were unavailable from the CAA on Monday. The Great Little Escapes website currently redirects to yourholidays.co.uk.
The website carries the Advantage Travel Partnership logo and states it is "part of the Advantage Travel Partnership". TTG has contacted Advantage for comment.
The group's Facebook page has been inactive since October 2023, while activity has paused on several of its other social media pages.
Its Your Holidays brand was continuing to post almost daily to Facebook until Wednesday (11 June).

LEEDS Bradford Airport (LBA) has announced the opening of its new terminal today. Historic UK attraction to close to tourists ahead of £1million renovation
A MUSEUM and former passenger steamship is set to undergo a massive £1million restoration project this year. The SS Great Britain in Bristol has secured funding for a huge project to create a better museum experience for the public to visit in the future. 6 6 6 According to Museum and Heritage, the museum will close in spring 2026 and reopen the same year as part of the redevelopment. The investment will go towards developing innovative storytelling, education, research and engagement. The transformation will mainly focus on the redevelopment of the Dockyard Museum, which leads visitors onto the historic ship. Essentially an immersive experience, the visitors will be able to explore how SS Great Britain changed the world. It will include telling visitors how the ship carried over 30,000 passengers and crew between 1845 and 1886. In addition, there will be a new community hub and opportunities for people to join the organisation as researchers and as advisory group members. In total, £705,000 has been secured from the Philip Nicholas Trust to reimagine the Dockyard Museum and £245,000 has been awarded buy The National Lottery Heritage Fund for the project. The steamship was the largest of its kind between 1845 and 1853 and was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, for the Great Western Steamship Company's transatlantic service between Bristol and New York City. Initially the ship was designed to be a luxury passenger service ship between Bristol and New York. But after some time, it was converted to carry cargo including coal and wheat between England and America. Nene Park Trust appeals for £3.5m to help build activity centre
The charity that runs Peterborough's Ferry Meadows says it needs to bridge a £3.5m funding gap to deliver its Olympic-grade climbing wall and activity Nene Park Trust hoped to start work on a Lakeside Activity Centre this year for it to be completed by Summer aimed for the facility to become a National Centre of Excellence for climbing and para-climbing - as well as offering year-round play and fitness Trust said it had committed about half of the £14m construction costs from its reserves. "The centre will also elevate Nene Park, making it a beacon for local residents and visitors alike, and enhance Peterborough's appeal as a vibrant city to live, study, work, and invest in," it hundreds of objections, plans for the facility were approved by Peterborough City Council in Nene Park Trust said it had used £2m of its own money to complete the first phase of the Lakeside Activity included building a new car park and improving the lake-side road, widening it in some places and improving drainage and complete the site is expected to be about 34m (110ft)-tall.
