While The Sun is keeping the identities of the booted cast locked down to preserve the surprise for viewers, the shock twist left the villa horrified and in tears.
We can reveal that the trio included a girl who has caused loads of drama this year.
The scenes will play out over a number of episodes this week.
A source said: 'Love Island fans know a dumping usually follows a favourite couple vote and it often happens during format points like themed parties - so there's no surprise in that.

But the feelgood vibes end when the results of the latest public vote are revealed.
Fans flooded social media last night with their predictions of who will be in the bottom two.
One said: "It's absolutely a vote to get rid of the ones who aren't going anywhere - Emma & Boris watch out."
Another insisted: "I have no doubt in my mind that this is probably going to be a vote where Dejon will be in the bottom BUT he won't leave."
One more echoed over on X: "From all The votes so far I fear it's Emma and Boris that'd be dumped, haven't seen anyone voting for them. Meg and Dejon live to fight another day sigh."

BBC launches investigation into 'cocaine use' by Strictly Come Dancing stars
The BBC has reportedly hired a leading law firm to investigate claims of cocaine use among two stars of Strictly Come Dancing, with rumours suggesting that their drug use was widely known on the programme. Former participants, professional dancers, and crew members are being invited to share any concerns with solicitors from Pinsent Masons, according to recent reports. The beloved BBC dance show, which has found itself at the centre of a number of scandals in recent years, finds itself at the centre of a fresh furore following allegations of drug use levelled at the corporation in March by Russells Solicitors on behalf of a celebrity participant. It's understood that further accusations regarding substance misuse on Strictly have been levelled at the BBC, reports the Mirror. BBC director-general Tim Davie. (Image: PA) In a statement released to the Mirror, a spokesperson for the BBC said: "We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us. We would always encourage people to speak to us if they have concerns. It would not be appropriate for us to comment further." According to The Sun, one of the claims involves a Strictly celeb who purportedly made a quip about another person's wide-eyed appearance, insinuating drug use, with the remark: "Have you seen their pupils . . . they're off their face". Moreover, The Sun has disclosed that a celeb has alleged it's well-known amongst the show's insiders that two stars indulged in cocaine use, sparking widespread gossip within the cast. An insider remarked: "These claims are extremely serious and should be taken as such. Given only last year that the BBC's Director-General promised to clean up Strictly, it seems particularly shocking. The idea of the show's stars discussing drug-taking is deeply disturbing. The BBC have known about these allegations for some time, and acknowledged receiving them." It's understood that the taxpayer-supported broadcaster is "taking firm action". Appearing shortly after on Aftersun, Dejon and Meg were grilled on their romance and time in the villa, with Maya asking them about missing out on the final. "We definitely expected it. We were really to go home, to be honest," Dejon told her. "I mentioned to the few boys that, like, I feel like my Love Island experience is finished because I came here and got what I wanted with Meg." Advertisement During the final vote, the pair's connection was called into question, with some noting that they didn't think Dejon could remain faithful outside the villa as he had his "head turned" with newcomers frequently. However, others thought they had already passed the honeymoon period, with their squabbles being a sign of a settled relationship. "It was interesting the way that we got dumped, because I feel like the decisions were definitely… you kind of heard from both people's point of view," Dejon said. "Some people saw bad things and some people saw good things. So it definitely made me in this time of being like reflect on my actions over the villa." Advertisement When Maya asked if he understood why some people may have thought he had a game plan, Dejon added: "Yeah, definitely. "Coming in, I just thought, I'm on Love Island. I'm gonna explore connections, I'm gonna be flirty, I'm gonna see what my strongest connection was," he explained. Love Island OG's Meg and Dejon DUMPED by returning islanders "But in the back of my head, I always knew it was Meg, so I definitely see why that kind of… there's a lot of opinions about that, and I feel like I could have explored connections with being less flirty and stuff." "I definitely understand why people have their opinions regarding that, and even there's times that, honestly, she's stuck by me, and she tells me how she feels, and she stuck by me more than more than she should. More than I deserve a lot of times. Advertisement "I'm very, very grateful for her, and now hopefully I can show what she deserves." While the sweet moment seemed to go down well with Meg, viewers still remained unconvinced, questioning Dejon's authenticity and claiming his comments were "practiced" and for clout. 6 The couple have left boyfriend and girlfriend, asserting they're set to last Credit: ITV 6 Dejon and Meg were one of the longest standing couples in the villa Credit: Eroteme Advertisement "The PR tour has started already with Meg and Dejon on #aftersun 'ready to leave' sureeeeeee," wrote one. "Giving too much pr don't let dejon get away with it," noted a second, while a third said: "Dejon doing the old PR routine in this interview." While others thought he had an ulterior motive, claiming: "The way Dejon keeps waffling on on Aftersun it reeks of trying to still get a brand deals when he's actually back in the UK." "Dejon is doing a whole lot of talking but not actually saying anything," said another. Advertisement 6 Dejon and Meg have divided viewers who have questioned their authenticity Credit: ITV
