of tribal community while participating in the two-day '
Aadi Utsav
' at Ramnagar in Mandla on Monday. He also declared that Rs 1600 crore was being allocated under the PESA Act for conservation of water, forests, and land in Baiga, Bharia, and Sahariya tribal areas.
Yadav said structures such as Moti Mahal, Rani Mahal, and the memorials of Raja Shankar Shah, Kunwar Raghunath Shah, and
Rani Durgavati
in Ramnagar and Mandla will be included in the development projects. While addressing the gathering at the event, the chief minister asked collector Somesh Mishra from the stage to make a proposal for developing 'Madhya' — a site in Ramnagar — which will include a seating arrangement for 5000 people, drinking water facilities, and accommodation infrastructure.
"Great tribal heroes like Raja Hriday Shah, Raja Shankar Shah, Kunwar Raghunath Shah, Rani Durgavati, Birsa Munda, and Tantya Mama fought with pride, dignity, and valour for the country's freedom. They stood up to protect water, land, forests, and their identity. These tribal legends of our state and country made us proud. In their honour, Krantisurya Tantya Mama University has been established in Khargone," Yadav said.
On the occasion, the chief minister visited Moti Mahal built by Hriday Shah and inaugurated a folk art exhibition. He also laid foundation stone and inaugurated development work worth Rs 61 crore in the area.

JPSC to pay Rs 1L to candidate in recruitment case
Ranchi: Jharkhand high court on Friday imposed a cost of Rs 1 lakh on the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), while dismissing an appeal filed by the latter against a candidate. The division bench headed by Chief Justice MS Ramachandra Rao while dismissing the appeal upheld the order of a single judge and imposed the cost of Rs 1 lakh on the Commission which is to be paid to the petitioner, Manoj Kumar Kachhap, in eight weeks. Kachhap had filed a petition before the single bench of the HC stating that he was a candidate and had applied for the post of assistant professor in 2018. He appeared for the exams after scrutiny of his documents by the commission. But at the time of interview, he was told that the fees deposited for the exam was not credited in JPSC's account and therefore his candidature could not be considered. Kachhap told the court that he wasn't informed about it before the interview. In another matter, the high court imposed a cost of Rs 8,000 on former chief minister Madhu Koda for seeking adjournment in a case for the fourth time. ACB issues fresh notice to KTR in Formula E case
1 2 3 Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has issued a new notice to BRS working president KT Rama Rao in connection with the alleged illegal transfer of Rs 55 crore to the London-based company Formula E Operations (FEO). He has been asked to appear before the bureau on June 16 (Monday). This is the second time that the BRS leader has been summoned in the case. The ACB had served notice to KTR earlier on May 26, asking him to appear for questioning. However, he sought more time, citing his scheduled trip to the UK and USA. KTR is accused of directing the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) top brass to release the funds through the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) to ensure the second edition of the race took place in Hyderabad. The first edition was held in Hyderabad and sponsored by the city-based company Ace Nxt Gen Pvt Ltd. However, Ace Nxt Gen backed out of sponsoring the second edition, so the govt took responsibility for sponsoring it, with the intention of holding it in 2024. The ACB alleges that the payment was made without following the established procedures, despite the existence of a model code of conduct (MCC). Karnataka chief minister seeks Centre's help to bail out mango farmers
Bengaluru: Chief minister Siddaramaiah has urged Union agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to intervene and address the issues faced by mango farmers in Karnataka due to the sharp decline in market prices. In his letter to Chouhan, Siddaramaiah has requested immediate steps to implement a price deficiency payment scheme (PDPS) under market intervention scheme (MIS) for mangoes as an urgent policy response. He stated, "Necessary direction may be issued to designated central procurement agencies to initiate procurement operations immediately at an appropriate intervention price, ensuring that farmers receive at least the minimum cost of cultivation as a safety net." Siddaramaiah explained that the market price, which earlier was around Rs 12,000 a quintal, has now plummeted to as low as Rs 3,000. The cost of cultivating a quintal of mangoes is around Rs 5,466, leaving mango growers unable to recover even their basic input costs. "This has led to protests and growing agrarian anxiety. Unless prompt and effective intervention is undertaken, this crisis may lead to serious socio-economic consequences in the region," he stated.
