BTS' RM reveals surprising reason for wearing sunglasses next to Kim Taehyung during their military discharge: ‘I appeared in the news a lot'
Back in June, when RM and fellow BTS member Kim Taehyung were discharged from the military, Namjoon grabbed several headlines for playing 'Detective Conan', the theme song of a popular Japanese manga. The rapper recalled how he ended up all over the news for his saxophone-style exit, stepping out of the unit in uniform, black sunglasses on, blowing the musical instrument left, right, and centre while V took the bouquets for him and hundreds of ARMYs stood there cheering. His viral stunt during service sparked both laughter and criticism, but he admitted humour was always his real intention. 'When I was a corporal, I played the best until I was promoted,' he said before adding, 'That was my peak period.' RM continued, 'After I was discharged, when I played 'Conan, ' I heard a lot of feedback about it. 'You weren't that good at it, were you?' But at least I learned something in the military, I thought it would be fun to use it in concerts or entertainment shows.'

With this, RM shared a hilarious reason why he chose to wear black sunglasses while everyone else showed up dressed simply. He said, 'I really did intend to make people laugh. I thought it would be funny to wear the sunglasses I actually wore in the military. Anyway, it was fun. Since many people laughed, it was a success. I appeared in the news a lot [hundreds of messages because of the saxophone…] so I think I received the most messages in my life.' RM's statement comes after a few criticised the move while others speculated he was just genuinely happy to be out of the military. Elsewhere in the interview, RM admitted the saxophone was the only thing that made his military life enjoyable.

On how he wants ARMY to remember him, RM said, the rapper said, 'It's been 12 years since I debuted, and I used to want to be seen as cute, cool, or smart. But now I just want to be someone who goes at his own pace and direction. I hope people feel comforted by that.' The artist said he feels most confident when his music turns out the way he envisioned. Citing his recent collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion on NEVA PLAY he said, 'I think I feel the most impressive when a song turns out well.'

Why is BLACKPINK's Lisa facing 'sexual harassment' accusations from Kentaro Sakaguchi's fans? All we know about Dream controversy
Lisa of BLACKPINK recently released a visually stunning and emotionally raw short film titled Dream, where she stars opposite acclaimed Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi. While the project itself was meant to capture themes of love, loss, and longing, it's an off-camera moment between the two leads that has stirred a heated conversation online, even sparking 'sexual harassment' claims. Kentaro Sakaguchi's fans accuse Lisa of 'sexual harassment' A behind-the-scenes photo, shared by Lisa herself on her Instagram account, from the shoot of Dream has been circulating online, showing Lisa biting Kentaro Sakaguchi's arm while the two were off-camera. While many found the gesture playful, the photo has now ignited controversy online. In Japanese online spaces, some users criticised the gesture, calling it unprofessional or even labelling it as sexual harassment. One viral comment questioned, 'What if the roles were reversed?' suggesting that male celebrities wouldn't be excused in similar situations. Japanese netizens bully Lisa online Ever since the now-controversial photo went viral, some Japanese users have launched aggressive online smear campaigns targeting the BLACKPINK star. What began as criticism over a single moment quickly escalated, with individuals digging up old videos of Lisa and flooding social media with harsh comments and insinuations. These resurfaced clips—completely unrelated to the Dream project—have been used to frame Lisa in an unflattering light, sparking concern among fans who see the attacks as excessive, targeted, and deeply unfair. Many have called the behaviour outright bullying, urging others to step back and consider context before fuelling the fire. LISA receives racist commens & wishes for her to d*e EVERYWHERE: Weibo, IG, Twitter, even VLIVE where she clearly saw the comment SINCE EVER. Most ot4 are a bunch of hypocrites for being silent abt making up fake twts to drag Lisa is just the tip of the iceberg と主張する日本人登場↓タイ人がブチギレ(今ここ) Fans caught in the middle In the face of the backlash, many fans tried to ground the conversation in perspective: both Lisa and Sakaguchi are seasoned professionals, working on an intimate story that requires trust and emotional openness. Fans emphasised that chemistry between co-stars often requires a close bond, both on and off screen. Others pointed out that playful gestures, like the bite, may have been a sign of comfort or camaraderie, not meant to be dissected in public discourse. nah I'm acc sick ??? these japanese people are calling her all kinds of names in the qrts they're worse than the little sevens 😟😟 Lisa I need u to never work with a man again until we figure out what's going on More about Dream At the heart of it all is Dream, the short film itself, a poetic, 5-minute piece released on August 13, 2025, as part of Lisa's solo music project. ‘My Hero Academia' Season 8 trailer: Final battle begins as Deku and Shigaraki fight for the future of hero society
The trailer for the final season of 'My Hero Academia' has been released, offering fans an emotional and action-packed glimpse of what's to come when the anime returns in October. The new season, which marks the eighth and final chapter of the series, promises a dramatic end to the long-running story of young heroes in training. The trailer, shared by Crunchyroll, highlights the ultimate showdown between Izuku Midoriya (Deku) and Tomura Shigaraki. As the successors to One for All and All for One, their battle has been building for years — and now, the fate of the superhero society hangs in the balance. Alongside the action, the trailer brings back a nostalgic touch: the opening theme will be performed by Japanese rock band PORNOGRAFFITTI, who also sang the anime's very first opening, 'The Day.' This musical choice hints at a full-circle moment, connecting the beginning and end of the story. Though specific plot details remain under wraps, it's clear the final episodes will explore not only the physical conflict between Deku and Shigaraki but also Deku's emotional struggle. Torn between stopping Shigaraki and trying to save him, Deku's compassion remains central to his character. 'Even after everything he's done, Deku still believes Shigaraki can be redeemed,' the trailer suggests. 'My Hero Academia', based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi, first aired in 2016 and quickly became one of the most popular anime series worldwide. Produced by Studio Bones, the series follows Deku and his classmates at U.A. High School as they train to become professional heroes in a world where nearly everyone has superpowers, known as 'quirks.' The final season begins streaming on Crunchyroll in October.
