Amber Davies lets rip at 'selfish' audience member who 'ruined' West End performance

Amber Davies says she will demand the theatre manager takes action the next time she sees anyone filming the production and explained why it impacts those of stage so much
Angry actress Amber Davies launched a furious tirade at a 'selfish' audience member who wrecked her West End show.

The former Love Island star is appearing in The Great Gatsby Musical in London and she had a lengthy rant after someone in the stalls decided to film the production. Amber explained in detail while recording from your seat is such an issue - and it doesn't just irritate those who pay to see the performance.

Amber, who has also played Vivian Ward in the stage show of Pretty Woman, took to Instagram to make her point, and the Welsh star didn't hold back. She told the woman filming to think of others as well as those performing - and says she'll get security to act the next time she sees a person doing it. It comes after Katie Price worried fans with appearance in family photo after explaining her weight loss.

"This is a PSA," she said in a video on the social media platform. "The closer you are to the stage when you're watching a show the more obvious it is when you're filming. This is the entire stalls. If you're filming in the stalls we can see you!
"From someone who's on stage, I just wanna tell you a little bit about what we see. So we see like a dark canvas and outlines of people's heads. If you're filming, the reflection from the lights bounce straight back the back of your iPhone onto us on stage. So it is the one thing we can see.

"So to the woman filming New Money tonight, you distracted absolutely everybody on that stage. And not only that, it takes us out of the Gatsby world because you're filming and you've basically ruined that moment for everybody else who was watching the show tonight."
Amber went on to ask: "Please don't be selfish. Stop filming shows. If someone is filming during a show know that this is the consequences that it has to the people on stage and tell them to stop because honestly it's annoying.
"Also, I single-handedly will count how many seats back you are and tell our stage manager where you're sitting and what colour hair you've got, and trust me, in the interval they will come and ask you to delete the footage so you've basically done it for nothing. Okay, I'm gonna enjoy act two now."

The 29-year-old has since gone on to build an impressive career as a West End actor, landing roles in everything from Bring it On! to Back to the Future. Amber is now using her public platform to raise awareness of drink spiking after she fell victim to it years ago.
She hopes that by sharing her ordeal with others, she can help people recognise the signs of it the criminal offence and protect themselves and their loved ones. The Love Island recalled the terrifying incident during a night out in North Wales in 2018, which she has since called an "out of body experience."
Amber shot to fame in 2017 as the winner of the third series of the ITV dating reality show alongside her then-partner, Kem Cetinay, after the pair delighted viewers with their adorable relationship. However, shortly after reaching huge reality fame, Amber's drink was spiked during a night out which "took a turn for the worst" and she was rushed to A&E.

Ryan Reynolds' £7.5m target's dad drops huge hint on record Wrexham transfer going through

A Wrexham transfer target's dad appears to have hinted that a record £7.5m move is close with a cryptic post, sparking fan excitement as the club gears up for the Championship Nathan Broadhead's dad appears to have dropped a major hint that his son is about to complete a move to Wrexham in a club-record deal. The Red Dragons, owned by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, were reported to have tabled a £7.5million bid for the Ipswich Town forward last week. ‌ Broadhead, who was previously part of Wrexham's academy, joined the Tractor Boys from Everton for £1.5m in January 2023. He played a key role in Ipswich 's back-to-back promotions from League One and the Championship, before being restricted to just seven Premier League starts last season. ‌ Now in the final year of his contract at Portman Road, talks over the Wales international's proposed move were initially understood to be progressing well. The deal looked to have stalled at the weekend though due to injuries and transfer interest in other Ipswich attackers. ‌ However, the 27-year-old's dad, Mark Broadhead, has offered hope to Wrexham fans after sharing a cryptic post from his personal Facebook account. Simply captioned "12 years later," it shows an image of a young Nathan playing for Everton in 2013, followed by one of him celebrating a goal for Ipswich last year. The final picture, titled "Now," shows Nathan sporting a Wrexham shirt while kneeling on the pitch at the Racecourse Ground back in his academy days. While the deal has not been confirmed by either club, supporters have taken it as a sign that his return is imminent after a screengrab of the post was shared on X by the Fearless in Devotion fan account. One person replied: "That's all the info we need." While someone else posted: "As good as an official announcement, that." Another supporter wrote: "Someone may have just let it slip also outside the ground too." Ipswich fans also seemed convinced, with one adding: "You've got yourselves one hell of a player. Good luck this season." ‌ Broadhead has bagged 23 goals in 83 appearances for Ipswich in total and his arrival at Wrexham would be seen as a big coup. The Welsh side are preparing for their first campaign in the second tier for 43 years after securing promotion from League One in April. Manager Phil Parkinson has so far signed eight players this summer as he looks to improve his squad. Sheffield United striker Kieffer Moore became the latest addition on Tuesday, joining on a three-year contract in a deal reportedly worth £2m. ‌ Wrexham face a tough start to the season as they travel to face relegated Southampton on Saturday in their opening game. Liberato Cacace is another new face who signed up last month from Italian outfit Empoli, and the left-back is looking forward to getting started. Explaining why he signed, he told the BBC: "There was interest in Italy, but for me, I'm a big football fan as well. I watch a lot of football and I've always watched English football, from the Premier League to the Championship so I know the level I'm heading into. ‌ "It was always a big dream of mine to play in the UK. Obviously Wrexham having so much publicity in the media as well you could see what the club was like. It's a very exciting project and I'm also very excited to start the season as well." He added: "I've already had chats with the players and with the manager and I think I'm settling in pretty well. I'm a professional person as well so I always like to keep fit. I'm going to use every day to make sure that against Southampton I'll be ready to go." Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content. Kym Marsh, 49, seemingly hits back at resurfaced Hear'Say 'fat-shaming' clip as she flashes her abs in a black sports bra while posing for a sizzling mirror selfie

Kym Marsh has seemingly hit back at a viral 'fat-shaming' clip from her Hear'Say heyday as she flashed her abs in a mirror selfie on Instagram on Tuesday. In the resurfaced 2002 clip, the singer, 49, was seen being ordered to ' lose weight ' by judge Nigel Lythgoe - who earned the nickname 'Nasty Nigel' for his scathing behaviour on pioneering ITV talent show Popstars. Now, taking to social media, Kym showed off her sizzling figure as she posed for a new selfie. The star turned heads as she flaunted her toned physique in a black sports bra and leggings. 'Building a better me,' she penned on top of the snap. It comes after her former bandmate Myleene Klass, 47, took to Instagram to lash out at comments made by judge Nigel on the ITV show. In the resurfaced 2002 clip, the singer, 49, was seen being ordered to ' lose weight ' by judge Nigel Lythgoe - who earned the nickname 'Nasty Nigel' for his scathing behaviour on pioneering ITV talent show Popstars During their time on the show, Nigel criticised Kym's looks and instructed her to 'lose some weight' as he quizzed her over her diet and fitness during the formation of Hear'Say, their band which ran from 2001 to 2002. In the clip, Kym asked, 'Do you think I'm fat?', to which Nigel replied, 'I think you've put weight on over Christmas, are you exercising, is the diet right?' Kym replied: 'I've just started it today', prompting Nigel to add, 'You need to lose some weight you're going on show six weeks from now, six weeks.' Myleene has reshared the video to her Instagram Stories and said being fat-shamed was a 'daily' occurrence, while stylists would remove sizes from clothes to hide 'the shame' of having double-digit sizes. She wrote: 'Yes Daily. Stylist often cut the sizes out of some bands outfits to hide the 'shame' of 'double digits'. 'My Hear'say diaries are FULL of this s***. The boys were also shamed. Remember, TFI Friday had scales on set.' Kym has been open about her struggles with self-image in the past, saying she became bulimic after she started comparing herself to smaller girls while at stage school when she was younger. Nigel previously defended his comments about Kym on the show, saying: '[She's] looking fabulous now, acting brilliantly, and she's made a huge career for herself.' Hear'Say formed on ITV show Popstars in 2001 and found success with their number one hit Pure and Simple. Their first album Popstars, was a huge hit but their success quickly dwindled by the time they released their second album Everybody. They split up in October 2002, less than two years after being put together on Popstars and cited 'abuse from the public' at the time as the primary reason behind the breakup. Speaking last year, about what pressures she felt as a young person in the spotlight, Myleene told Loose Women viewers their management would 'control how much we were eating' as they were scared they would become 'fat'. She said: 'I mean the scrutiny for a start. My daughter is 17 and if I look at one of my band members Suzie she was 18, so that's one year away. 'I think if someone put my daughter through that level of scrutiny or pressure...' Although she admitted that things have got a lot better since then, Myleene went on to add: 'Some of the experiences that we went through we were in no way equipped for it. 'We were just five kids in a room at the end of the day - not unlike these five kids in a room and that's all you have.'
