Katie Price 'pulls out' of 38-date tell-all tour with Kerry Katona
Katie Price has reportedly been forced to pull out of her much-anticipated 'tell-all' tour with friend Kerry Katona.
The two noughties icons, who rose to fame as a glamour model and member of girlband Atomic Kitten respectively, met and forged a friendship when they pivoted to reality TV.
Both starred on the 2004 series of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, which Kerry won while Katie was introduced to her former husband – and father of two of her children – Peter Andre through it.
However, 47-year-old Katie has now been forced to cancel her participation for all 38 proposed dates of the tour with Kerry, 44, which was due to run throughout September and October.
An Evening With Katie Price & Kerry Katona was set to visit venues including Redditch Palace Theatre, Stockport Plaza, Grimsby Auditorium, Portsmouth New Theatre Royal and Watford Palace Theatre.
'Katie is gutted and tried everything she could to make it work but she has had to step away from the tour because she has childcare commitments and also a very busy schedule,' a source told The Sun.
'She hates letting her fans down and hopes to be able to do something similar in the future.'
The insider said that it was 'unclear' at the moment whether Kerry would press on it with it as a solo endeavour or if the whole tour would be scrapped.
'There is no bad blood between Kerry and Katie, they're still best of mates, but it's a huge blow to their fans,' they added.
A representative for Katie also confirmed to the publication that she had pulled out, citing 'childcare commitments that come first'.
The tour was due to kick off on Thursday September 11 in Ellesmere Port before concluding in Hull on Wednesday October 22.
It had promised to see Katie and Kerry share 'stories of their friendship, marriage and divorce, bankruptcy, I'm A Celebrity, the importance of family, their constant press attention and turning their lives around'.
The show – marketed as 'strictly 16+ only' due to adult content – also promoted 'some song and dance and an opportunity for audience questions' on one venue's website.
Meet and Greet VIP tickets were an option for the tour as well.
Kerry and Katie previously co-starred on stage together last year when they played the wicked step-sisters in the pantomime Cinderella at the Northwich Memorial Court in Cheshire.
Katie shared on her podcast at the time how Kerry helped get her cast in the show, which has reportedly broken theatre records in ticket sales.
'So Kerry got me the gig because she has been working with them for six years,' she explained.
'And she was like 'Why don't you come and do this panto', and she said it was for the ugly sisters and I said, 'Oh are we ugly then?' and she said we can still be really pretty.'
Despite ups and downs in their friendship over the years, Katie and Kerry have become very close with the two said to be relying on each other quite a lot for emotional support in recent times.
Speaking to The Mirror, a source claimed: 'Katie and Kerry are growing closer over their shared experiences of tough times – they've been a shoulder for each other to cry on.
'Katie didn't have the best Mother's Day; she was working and didn't see her kids, which was tough for her.'
Mum-of-five Katie was busy with another panto, Pinocchio, meaning that she spent Mother's Day without her children – 23-year-old Harvey, 19-year-old Junior, 17-year-old Princess, 11-year-old Jett, and 10-year-old Bunny. More Trending
Pinocchio, her adults-only pantomime, in which she appeared opposite 90s comedian Bobby Davro, saw one venue, Chesham's Elgiva Theatre, slashed prices in a bid to sell more seats last month.
The theatre reportedly decided to offer buyers a second ticket for half price once they'd bought their own ticket, after huge blocks of seats were still available for both the matinee and evening performances, with just a week to go.
Metro has contacted reps for Katie Price and Kerry Katona for comment.

Pregnant Liz McClarnon, 44, reveals how she and her doctor husband went through miscarriages and multiple IVF rounds after trying to conceive months into their whirlwind relationship
Liz McClarnon has revealed how she and her doctor husband went through two miscarriages and multiple rounds of IVF before conceiving their child. The Atomic Kitten star, 44, shared the happy news earlier this month that she is expecting her first child with her husband Peter Cho, telling her followers in the Instagram announcement that she has finally become pregnant after years of 'painful' IVF. Now, the singer has spoken out on her difficult journey to conceive, as well as her whirlwind relationship with her doctor husband Peter. Liz married Peter in June 2023, but didn't reveal his identity to her followers until they celebrated their first wedding anniversary last year. She has now revealed how the couple first connected on Hinge, mid-2021 lockdown and after communicating with messages for a month they finally met in person in July 2021. Within four months Liz moved from Liverpool to London to live with her doctor beau, and after another four months he proposed in Bath. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The couple started their IVF journey early on in their relationship, as Liz explained that they were both conscious of her age - 40 at the time they met. In 2022, the couple had three failed embryo transfers, which took a mental and physical toll on Liz. 'The first time we did it, I thought, "This will be it,"' she recalled to The Mirror. 'But by my third cycle, it was obviously very different. When that one didn't work, I was really quite sick and I was in a dark hole.' 'I'd put on so much weight but I didn't want to tell anyone why, because I didn't want the IVF to become my identity, my whole personality.' The couple decided to take a break before their 2023 wedding before trying again, but toward the end of 2024 they suffered two heartbreaking miscarriages following their first successful cycles. Liz explained how she felt she was 'done' after the last loss and Peter supported her decision. 'Peter was absolutely on board with that, he didn't say anything other than, "This is your body and I'll support whatever you decide you want," which was a huge thing for me. I felt so bad emotionally, it was really tough' After a Christmas spent with her family back home in Liverpool though, they decided to try again and happily found out she was pregnant in the New Year. Now in her second trimester, Liz is now looking forward to everything that is to come but admits she is nervous. 'Don't get me wrong, I'm so grateful, but I'm also petrified. But you know what? It's happened to women older than me before, and it'll happen again – so we'll just get on with it!' she told the magazine. In June 2024, Liz revealed the identity of her husband Peter as they celebrated their first wedding anniversary. The fiercely private singer took to her Stories with two snaps of her handsome spouse, after his face was previously masked by confetti i n the photo from their big day. Alongside a snap of Peter in the sunshine, Liz wrote: 'Guess what?! I've been married to my perfect match for a whole year, I love you Peter Cho!' She then shared a throwback from their wedding day as they posed together, with the bride looking stunning in a Bardot neckline gown with full skirt. The pair cuddled up, Peter looking dapper in a three-piece black suit, with Liz adding: 'Thank you for your lovely well wishes.' They tied the knot in the Lake District, with the guests including Liz's former bandmate Natasha Hamilton.

Shocking moment huge GECKO fell out of tin of Lidl sweetcorn in front of terrified dad as he cooked kids' tea
Grandad John says he now checks every tin before eating GRIM FIND Shocking moment huge GECKO fell out of tin of Lidl sweetcorn in front of terrified dad as he cooked kids' tea Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A GRANDFATHER was left with a sour taste after discovering a dead lizard in a tin of sweetcorn. John Shier, 53, was cooking a meal for his wife and son last month when he uncovered the fully preserved body of a gecko stuck to the can's lid. 6 John Shier, 53, was cooking a meal when he found the gecko Credit: John Shier 6 The dead lizard was sitting on top of the sweetcorn after he opened the tin Credit: John Shier 6 John had to do a double take after spotting the creature Credit: Paul Tonge The sales manager, of Spalding, Lincs, did a double take after spotting the seven centimetre-long creature and likened the discovery to something out of a "bushtucker trial". Pictures show the squashed lizard sitting on top of the yellow veggies and a visible imprint of the animal under the ring-pull lid. Dad-of-two John purchased the tin of Freshona sweetcorn from Lidl as part of a multipack and admitted he had some concerns over the contents of the remaining containers. Speaking to The Sun, he said: 'I thought I was on I'm a Celebrity, it was like a proper bushtucker trial challenge. 'I just wanted the sweetcorn, I didn't really want a seven centimetre gecko to go with it! 'I was just cooking at home and making a usual stir fry, which means I normally just throw everything into a wok. 'I had already added one tin of the sweetcorn, but in the process of opening the second one this thing just caught my eye. 'I did a double take and saw what was sitting right on the top of the tin. I've never seen anything like that before in my life. 'That was it after that, I didn't want to eat any of the ingredients I was eating because I couldn't be sure what was in there. None of us wanted to eat any of the food. 'It's lucky I spotted it really, I might have missed it or it could have been buried beneath the sweetcorn. Giant huntsman spider lurking in his bunch of Aldi bananas 'If I had missed that and thrown it into the meal, or if it was buried in the tin, one of us might have ended up eating it. 'It's safe to say that every tinned item I've opened since has been sieved before use.' And John accused supermarket giants Lidl of 'not taking it seriously' when they offered him a ten pound voucher after being presented with the evidence of his extraordinary find. In a statement, Lidl said: 'It is never our intention for our customers to be dissatisfied in any way. 'We take matters of this nature extremely seriously and pride ourselves on the rigorous quality assurance processes we have in place across our supply chain. 'Reports of this kind are exceptionally rare – we've received no other customer complaints, and we believe this to be an isolated case. 'Nonetheless, our Quality Assurance team is in contact with the customer directly on this matter.' He added: 'This isn't a fly or a small insect, I would understand that because they are so miniscule. 6 John was offered a measly £10 voucher after his find Credit: Paul Tonge 6 John demanded an apology from Lidl Credit: John Shier 6 He has vouched to never shop with the supermarket giant again Credit: Paul Tonge 'But this is a lizard, which is fully intact and measuring seven centimetres. 'I'm shocked at their response, I thought they would take it more seriously. 'I don't know the toxicity levels of a gecko but it could have been really poisonous. I certainly wouldn't want to take the risk of eating one. 'It's a bit of a joke. It's bad enough I could have served it to my wife or son, but one of my grandchildren could have been eating that meal. 'I spend money in that store religiously every week and there is no recognition of my loyalty in their response. 'I have been offered a measly ten pound voucher. I'm not sure if I'm more disgusted at the lack of empathy or the ridiculous gesture. 'I will not be shopping there again.'
