'Every team would want him. However, my conversation with Hakan was unrelated to transfers. A friend of mine was talking to Hakan on the phone, and I just joined the chat and wished him success. This was not a transfer meeting.'

Football Italia reported on Wednesday that Galatasaray were interested in the Turkey national team captain, although Inter have not yet received a formal offer.
Calhanoglu's Inter future remains uncertain, but if the Serie A giants were to sell their star, it would surely be for a high transfer fee.
Calhanoglu joined Inter on a free transfer from their city rivals Milan in the summer of 2021.

Liverpool in talks over deal for Dutch WONDERKID

Liverpool are making big alterations to their defence this summer. Milos Kerkez's arrival from Bournemouth looks imminent - with the 21-year-old set to replace Andy Robertson as the Reds' long-term left-back. For his part, it is becoming increasingly possible that Robbo heads to Atletico Madrid. Fellow left-back Kostas Tsimikas, meanwhile, has been extensively linked with a move away - to either Nottingham Forest or Olympiacos. Advertisement The Transfers Podcast: Liverpool talk to Hato At centre-back, too, there could be sweeping changes. Ibrahima Konate is out of contract in 2026 - and could be sold if no agreement is reached over a renewal. Transfer talk is growing around Jarell Quansah as well, with the 22-year-old tipped to join Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth over £40m - or else move to one of his many Premier League suitors. This rearrangement would leave the Reds quite light on numbers at left-back and centre-back. Liverpool talking to Jorrel Hato And one solution the club are looking into is adding Ajax's left-back / centre-back Jorrel Hato to the ranks. Advertisement That's according to the latest report from Duncan Castles on The Transfers Podcast - in which the journalist claims discussions are underway for the Dutch international to move to Anfield this summer. 'There have been direct conversations between Liverpool and Hato over joining the Premier League champions this summer,' Castles says. 'And those conversations have taken place with the knowledge of Ajax, who are open to selling the player. 'They want to reinforce at centre-back. But probably they cannot say to Hato: 'You come in and you're the starting centre-back' — but he'll get some time in that position. They can also give him time at left-back, where there's quite a fluid situation for them. Advertisement 'Liverpool can push to bring Hato in and have him as a deputy centre-back and deputy left-back, to share that position with Milos Kerkez for the coming season. But it will not be a cheap deal if they're going to make that happen.'

Why Barcelona are ‘losing patience' with attacking transfer target

The board at La Liga giants Barcelona are growing impatient with the situation of a headline member of the club's summer transfer shortlist. That's according to Mundo Deportivo, who highlight Luis Díaz as the player in question. Advertisement Wide-man Díaz has of course seen his name pushed somewhat into the background in Catalunya's capital over recent days. This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the Colombian has been overtaken in the race to be a new Barcelona player by Athletic Club standout Nico Williams. This shift came for a number of reasons, not least of them the fact that Nico himself is actively pushing for a Camp Nou switch. A similar approach had been expected on Díaz's part for some time now, but is yet to come to fruition. And as per the aforementioned MD, as much has not gone down well with the likes of Deco and Joan Laporta: Advertisement 'In the case of Luis Díaz, Barcelona have begun to lose patience. Joan Laporta and Deco's plan was for the Colombian to put strong pressure on Liverpool. However, aside from Díaz's statements in a recent press conference, the reality is that there has not been any significant pressure on the Anfield leadership.' Conor Laird – GSFN

Watch: Lamine Yamal enjoying vacation with Barcelona icon Neymar

Fresh off international duty with Spain in the UEFA Nations League, Lamine Yamal is already enjoying his vacation. With his 18th birthday just around the corner, Yamal has big plans for the upcoming season, with the youngster particularly keen on winning the Champions League title with Barcelona. Advertisement For now, though, Yamal is enjoying his vacation in Brazil, where he was seen playing with Neymar. This was revealed through Neymar's Instagram account, where the former Barcelona attacker posted a video of Yamal kicking a volleyball in what looks like a beach volleyball court. It appears the two are enjoying the vacation together in Brazil, which is quite interesting as it suggests the two share an excellent relationship. This comes as a treat to the eyes of Barcelona fans, many of whom believe that Yamal resembles the style of Neymar. The two could have even played together if Barcelona had entertained the idea of re-signing Neymar earlier in the year- a topic that was widely discussed. Advertisement But Neymar eventually moved on to his former club Santos, though his contract at the Brazilian club is set to expire at the end of the month. Given that Neymar will soon become a free agent, it is rather interesting to see the Brazilian enjoying his vacation with one of Barcelona's top players this summer.
