ITBP edge out 10-men Karbi Anglong Morning Star
Lunminlen Haokip gave the lead to Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC but goals from Pulung Diamary and Hemraj Bhujel gave the para military side victory and three points.
Both debutant teams were trying to take control of the midfield which made an intriguing battle with both sides cancelling each other out in the centre of the field.
KAMSFC, who play in I-League 3, were reduced to 10 men in just the 23rd minute when Ghanaian centre back Ben Nash Quansh received a direct red card for a reckless two footed challenge.
ITBP took control of possession using the man advantage but it was the side from Assam who drew first blood.
Lunminlen Haokip neatly finished a counter attacking move to give his side the lead in the 30th minute. The striker could have doubled the lead minutes later when he pounced on a mistake by the ITBP goalkeeper Ugesh Lama. The goalkeeper could not gather a cross cleanly and Lunminlen who was lurking around pounced but could not put the finishing touches.
ITBP equalised in the final minute of first half regulation time through Pulung Daimary, whose neat side footed finish found the bottom right corner after taking a deflection of a defender.
ITBP scored the second goal in the 60th minute with a neat team move. Srikumar Karjee received a long diagonal pass in the right wing and he fended off two defenders and drilled a low cross into the box which was expertly finished by Hemraj Bhujel. PTI AH KHS

London, Jul 28 (PTI) India left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed has cut short his stint with English county side Essex after just playing two first-class matches in the ongoing Championship due to personal reasons. Khaleel initially signed with the club for a two-month stint, which would've seen him play six first-class matches – the remainder of Essex's first-class season – as well as a maximum of 10 possible List A games in the One-Day Cup. 'While we are disappointed to see him (Khaleel) leave, we fully support Khaleel's decision and are grateful for the contributions he made during his time with us," Essex said in a statement. The club had announced his signing in June, after he had impressed for India A with a spell of 4 for 70 during a red-ball game against the England Lions. He joined Essex for a stint which was supposed to last till late September but played in just two matches, taking four wickets at an average of 64.50. Fan Told To Cover Pakistan Shirt In Manchester, Lancashire Opens Investigation

A fan at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground was 'asked' to cover his Pakistan cricket jersey-like shirt during the fourth Test between India and England. Pakistan media identified him as Farooq Nazar. He posted a video on social media that showed a member of the security staff at the ground requesting him to cover the shirt, a replica of Pakistan's green limited-overs kit. 'I've been asked by control if you can cover that shirt up, please," a guard can be heard saying in the video. Later, another steward can be heard saying the shirt 'might be considered nationalistic'.
