Amazon's 'absolutely amazing' £50 'stylish' smartwatch is now £25
Amazon shoppers have been praising a smartwatch that was discounted to almost half its usual price during a sale. People loved that it's a great tool to help "improve your health and lifestyle" and offers a "tough" design.
The Blackview Military Smart Watch would cost £49.99, but it has been discounted to just over £25. The "rugged" piece of tech claims to get a full charge within 2.5 hours, which "can last up to 20-30 days in standby and up to 5 days in normal use."
The "robust fitness watch" offers all you'd expect from a smart device for a fraction of the price of leading models like Apple and FitBit, like call, text and social media notifications. The watch comes with two "comfortable and skin-friendly wristbands" including a silicone and a nylon option.
For the fitness fanatics, the waterproof watch offers a range of "real-time health monitoring functions" to make training and tracking progress effortless. With more than 100 different programmes, the watch can help "meet your different sports needs", Amazon adds.
There are similar devices on the market for people wanting an affordable way into the smartwatch world without spending hundreds of pounds. For example, Sports Direct is offering this Karrimor Smart Watch (£19.99, down from £49.99) and the Reflex Active Series 23 Smart Watch from Currys (£39.99), but hundreds preferred this Amazon deal - and the 2,440 five-star reviews speak for themselves.
One said: "I wanted an inexpensive Smart Watch and, after a fair bit of deliberating on Amazon, I chose the Blackview watch and I was not disappointed. It looks and feels more expensive than the modest price tag, does everything I need it to do and usually lasts at least a week on a full charge."
Another added: "Absolutely amazing watch! It does everything it says on the tin, best part and my favourite part is the battery life. I charged it nine days ago and at the time of writing this I still have 37 % battery left, whereas my wife's brand new Apple Watch needs charging every other day."
But, some were unhappy with their purchase though. One claimed: "The step count is out by not 100s of steps but thousands. Atrocious. Please spend a few extra pounds and get a decent one!"
Another suggested: "It makes no sound whatsoever for notifications and the vibration is so light it is barely noticeable. Watch is that price for a reason." And, one more put in their review: "A decent watch for the 38 days it worked, currently sat on my wrist randomly vibrating and choosing as and when to show me the display. Not happy!"
Despite this, other continued to praise the watch. One person wrote: "Fantastic for the price. People think it is expensive, but when I tell them the actual price, they are gobsmacked." Someone else put in their review: "It is so stylish and nice watch. I like it and always like to look how stylish I am wearing it. The battery backup is fantastic as it run for months. The features provided are excellent. Really good one."

Walmart tops list of world's largest companies
Published: | Updated: Three Chinese firms have made it onto the list of the world's top ten largest companies this year - but one US retail giant still leads the way. The annual Fortune Global 500 global league table revealed China 's State Grid ranks third, with China National Petroleum in fifth, and Sinopec close behind in sixth. But, while China has strong contenders this year, no firm has managed to overtake American giant Walmart - which holds the top spot for a 12th consecutive time. The list, published by Global Business Magazine, is determined based on data collected throughout the entirety of the previous year. China-based State Grid is the biggest utilities company in the world, and Saudi Aramco a petroleum and natural gas company out of Saudi Arabia. China National Petroleum, Sinopec Group, and UnitedHealth Group followed in fifth, sixth, and seventh place, respectively. Apple, CVS Health, and Berkshire Hathaway rounded out the top 10. Although many of the list's findings might not come as a surprise, some companies have unexpectedly fallen far from their previously prominent places. The position of Apple, in particular, was shocking given that it was listed five spots lower than in 2024, according to Eqvista. But, the disappointing result is only a minor setback for the Tec giant, as it continues to expand year on year. Apple had roughly $387 billion in revenue for 2024, about a 2.8% increase from 2023, according to Forbes. Companies on the 2025 Fortune Global 500 list generated a record-breaking $41.7 trillion in revenue (up 1.8% from last year) and employed 70.1 million people worldwide. In 2024, these companies also recorded their second-most profitable year ever, earning a combined $2.98 trillion, a 0.4% increase from the previous year. It comes after Apple was officially crowned the world's biggest phonemaker last year. While Samsung has taken the top spot every year since 2010, it was finally knocked off its pedestal by Apple in 2023. Figures released by the International Data Corporation (IDC) reveal how Apple took 20.1 per cent of the market share last year – a 3.7 per cent increase on 2022. 'The biggest winner is clearly Apple,' said Nabila Popal, research director with IDC's Worldwide Tracker team. 'Not only is Apple the only player in the Top 3 to show positive growth annually, but also bags the number 1 spot annually for the first time ever.' Preliminary data from the IDC showed that 234.6 million iPhones were shipped in 2023, followed by 226.6 million Samsung smartphones. Xiaomi came in third, shipping 145.9 million smartphones last year, followed by OPPO (103.1 million) and Transsion (94.9 million). 'The overall shift in ranking at the top of the market further highlights the intensity of competition within the smartphone market,' said Ryan Reith, group vice president with IDC's Worldwide Mobility and Consumer Device Trackers.

Wireless CarPlay or Android Auto display drops to £39.99 in Amazon deal
Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay screens are becoming incredibly cheap | Amazon This article contains affiliate links. Learn More Sorry, there seem to be some issues. Please try again later. Submitting... If you've always fancied adding Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to your car, this might be the best way to do it. Many modern cars still don't have the capability of adding smartphone mirroring to their infotainment screen, and upgrading older cars can be an expensive headache. That's where these proprietary displays come in. They're such a simple plug and play device, clamping to your windscreen or dashboard just like old-school sat navs used to, and and it will give you a full suite of basic smartphone apps including, quite importantly, satellite navigation. It even connects wirelessly to your phone. The basic package is just a nine-inch screen - but you can also spec it with a reversing camera for an extra pound. | Amazon But they can do so much more than that, too. Because they can link to your car's stereo system, either through a cable or a radio transmission, they can become an on-screen music station. All the radio streaming services are available, as well as podcast apps, and music services like Spotify are also present and correct. So a device like this will handle your telephone calls, notify you of messages, cycle through your playlists, navigate you to your destination, and even serve as a reversing camera if you install the accessory. You might think tech like this will cost hundreds of pounds, but Amazon has this Meetellala nine-inch display on at just £39.99 at the moment, thanks to a 37% discount. If you want to add the reversing camera, it's only another pound, and upgrading to a sleeker newer model would cost just £51.99. There's even a version, priced at £58.89, which has a built-in dashcam as well as a reversing camera. This is one of the cheapest in-car displays we've seen, and we don't know how long the discount will last for, but if you can catch the limited-time deal, you'll get quite a bargain. The Dunelm bistro garden set has been hailed as 'beautiful' with one shopper saying the chairs are 'very comfortable' Dunelm shoppers have been racing to snap up a garden bistro seating set that's had its price slashed from £50 to £35. Perfect for smaller outdoor spaces, the set is ideal for balconies or courtyards and one shopper said it 'looks expensive' despite its reduced price tag. The Helsinki Circular Two Seater Bistro Set has a 4.1 star rating out of five on the home retailer's website and includes two chairs and a stylish glass top table. The chairs are made from a waterproof fabric and fold down when not in use, meaning they're compact to store. They're also designed to be easy to assemble meaning shoppers can dine al fresco in no time. Other dining sets to shop right now include the XEO Home Bistro Egg Chair Garden Furniture Set which has been cut from £80 to £69 on Amazon. For those who like a pop of colour, another option we've spotted on the high street is the Habitat Eve Two Seater Metal Garden Bistro Set which comes in green. It's available at Argos for £65. One happy reviewer said: "Lovely, well made and a nice shade of green." Many shoppers who bought Dunelm's Helsinki Circular Two Seater Bistro Set have left rave reviews, with one writing: "Absolutely delighted with this set. Great value for money and easy to put together. Exactly what I wanted!" Another wrote: "Very comfortable chairs and smart table, looks expensive." However one wasn't impressed with how tricky they found the set to put together, saying: "It's really hard to put together, the instructions don't really help. When we finally put it together one leg was shorter than the others." Another agreed but noted the set was still good value given the price point, writing: "Good table for the price but not easy to put together and not completely straight so does wobble. However for the price it is adequate." Despite this another shopper was pretty impressed with the set's appearance, saying: "Good value for money. Looks beautiful, looks sturdy." Another noted it was best suited to couples or smaller households, commenting: "Great value product, small table but just enough to fit two plates on for eating a meal. I recommend."
