Eurovision winner 'confirmed' minutes into show as fans spot major clue
The Eurovision Song Contest kicked off it's 69th annual contest tonight after a dramatic build up with two semi-finals earlier in the week. However, fans think they've already 'worked out' who will win less than a hour into the four hour live show.
The show kicked off with a high-energy performance from Norway as Kyle Alessandro – Lighter, as Luxembourg's Laura Thorn kicked off with her 'trippy' visuals with her song La Poupée Monte Le Son. Things went up a notch when Estonia's Tommy Cash performed his fan favourite song - Espresso Macchiato.
Tommy earned his place during the first semi-final, and now fans think he's going to take it all the way. The rapper and singer had the whole crowd on their feet with his epic dance moves, but some had a moment to pause and take to X, formerly known as Twitter, to hail him the winner already.
"Espresso Macchiato is the clear winner #eurovision," said one, while a second agreed: "That's the winner. #Eurovision".
A third was also in agreement, commenting: "Espresso macchiato..... There's your winner!"
Fans will have to wait until the end of the night to see if Tommy really does take home the crowd. However, they won't have to wait until then to vote, with the lines already open.
Voting opened before anyone kicked off their performance, with fans being able to vote via phone up to 20 times. However, it does cost 15p a vote but fans can save a few pennies by voting online through the app and via www.esc.vote.
After Tommy, Israel's Yuval Raphael took to the stage, performing her power ballad New Day Will Rise.
After her performance, UK commentator Graham Norton seemingly confirmed the EBU has employed fake applause to drown out any boos during her time on stage.
"Not sure what you're hearing at home, slightly mixed response here in the hall," the Irish host commented as Yuval wrapped things up - a nod to the reports Eurovision bosses are meddling with what makes it to TV screens across Europe.
Elsewhere, fans are hopeful for a performance from Celine Dion after her video message during the first semi-final.
Adding fuel to the fire, Graham mentioned the fact the My Heart Will Go On singer is watching backstage but didn't rule out a little performance from the Eurovision legend.

The footage leaked by Katie's ex Alex Reid shows her and daughter Princess counting cash and has been passed to her bankruptcy trustee, the Mirror understands. Reid has vowed that 'the truth will now be heard' Reality star Katie Price is facing fresh questions over her murky finances as a video emerges of her waving a wad of cash while bankrupt. Lounging on a sofa the glamour model, bankrupted twice over debts totalling more than £3m, says that she is 'enjoying counting' the pile of cash in front of her, saying "there's loads here … I'm just sorting it out". Asked by her daughter Princess if she would contribute towards her school fees and those of her second child with ex-husband Peter Andre, Price says 'Your dad can sit on that' and lifting a middle finger. Wearing white jodhpurs and sat next to a Christmas tree, she adds: 'Does he go on about it a lot? Well it's tough because I'm in bankruptcy to next May now.' Price also refers to a property - 'my London flat' - which she claims to own but which does not appear to have been traced by her bankruptcy trustees. The video was released today by Price's ex, former cage fighter Alex Reid', who said in a statement that 'the truth will now be heard'. The Mirror understands that the one minute and 38 second video, believed to have been filmed in late 2020, has been sent to Price's bankruptcy trustee who continues to 'seek realisations from various third parties'. Price has been celebrating the end of six years of 'hell' after being discharged from two bankruptcies and claiming it is a 'great achievement'. But a source said: 'A number of people have said that Katie deals in cash but this appears to be the first solid proof. There are lots of people owed a lot of money who now realise they are unlikely to ever get it. Katie gloating about it has stuck in the throat but this is not over.' Price was bankrupted twice - first in 2019 over debts totalling £3.5m, including £970,639 to HMRC and then again last March over a second £761,994 unpaid HMRC demand for money earned while she was already bankrupt. Creditors include Alex Reid who is owed £175,000 in High Court damages and costs he was awarded after Price revealed a sex tape he says was filmed without his consent. In the video, Price is heard claiming that she has 'extended' the bankruptcy 'because Alex Reid wants money from me and he won't be able to get it ... he's an a***hole". In a video statement released today, Reid said: 'Over the years you have seen countless stories by Katie Price directed at me, Peter, Keiran and others. Today I want to be clear. I am spear-heading a campaign to expose the truth. This isn't about gossip but about evidence. It's not about rumour, it's about reality. After years of silence, the time has finally come to reveal all.' He is seen watching the leaked video of Price and reacting, with comments like "this is unbelievable", "she just admitted she lied" and "has my legal team seen this?" Price said earlier this year on The Katie Price Show podcast: 'I'm not bankrupt anymore! I'm out of it, I'm out of both of them. The last six years have been hell - mentally and personally - everything has been hell. I've worked so hard to communicate and get rid of what caused all the trouble and I'm out of it. It's such a nice feeling not to be bankrupt anymore. I'm in control of everything now.' Farheen Qureshi, who was made Price's bankruptcy trustee in April 2023, told the Mirror: 'You should be aware that, notwithstanding that Ms Price has been discharged from both her first and second Bankruptcies, both Bankruptcies are still live and continuing and, in my capacity as her Trustee, I am seeking realisations from various third parties for the respective Bankruptcy estates. I would not wish to prejudice in any way either the outcome of that hearing or the further investigations being undertaken.' Alex Reid's post today marks the latest escalation between Price and her exes. Last week, on Instagram, Peter Andre posted: "For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today. He revealed that Princess and Junior, his children with Price, were put in his care by the family courts. He also cited court cases in 2011 and 2014 where Price had to pay damages over "false claims'. He added: 'The same falsehoods are being repeated today. Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months." In response, mum-of-five Price she would not be drawn into 'tit for tat comments' but added: 'I know I will always be seen as a sinner. That's fair. I allowed myself to fall into a reliance on drugs and alcohol. At times I was not the mother I should have been while I struggled with mental illness. I have been at times a poor friend, an awful sibling, and an untrustworthy partner. I've self-medicated, been unfaithful, damaged myself and those that I love.'

'My ultimate goal in life is to become a successful businesswoman.' These are probably not words you expected to hear from 18-year-old Princess Andre. The daughter of Katie Price and Peter Andre, there's no denying she's well acquainted with press attention and preconceived notions about her character. However, by forging a career for herself in show business and committing to a warts-and-all reality TV series, she's forced all of those stereotypes out the window. As such, the spoiled, uninspired, idle nepo baby label the public might not have hesitated to brand her with just a few weeks ago is no more. The Princess Diaries landed on ITV last weekend, undoubtedly to a curious audience all asking the same question: What could she possibly have to say? The answer? More than you'd expect. One of the very first scenes shows her squealing and panicking over her manager's dog dribbling sausage grease on her Louis Vuitton sliders, and some of the conversations with her friends feel uncomfortably forced. But do I believe the series is worthy of the 'tragic' and 'awkward' descriptors assigned to it in some reviews? No. I went into viewing the series hoping to be pleasantly surprised, and I certainly was. I was taken aback by Princess's honesty and vulnerability, not to mention her drive and passion to make a name for herself in a saturated industry that her own mum and dad have already monopolised. I didn't anticipate her speaking so openly about her childhood trauma, such as the horrifying carjacking ordeal in South Africa, which saw her, Katie, and Junior held at gunpoint by six men, with authorities saying it was a 'miracle' they survived. I didn't anticipate her candid admissions about body insecurities, having expressed her 'anxiety' about being 'exposed' in a bikini for her first runway modelling gig. I didn't anticipate her being so frank about moving on from her first heartbreak and navigating the dating scene again after ending things with her boyfriend of two years. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video I didn't anticipate talk about periods — and that all-too-familiar fear of leaking through your nicest outfit on an important day — or discussions about her regrets of not having a 'happier' upbringing. Ultimately, I expected a more manufactured, meticulously curated portrayal of Princess's life, which certainly would've been the easier route to take, given how she's learnt from two experts how to only show the media a version of yourself you want them to see. Instead, I was greeted by some rather thought-provoking viewing, particularly in the scenes where Princess reflects on her mum's personal woes and very public relationship crises. Reminiscing on Katie's split from Kieran Hayler in 2018, she said she became privy to 'things that kids should never have to see' as the former glamour model descended into turmoil, her parenting falling short as a result. Though Princess admitted she has never 'fully recovered' from the ordeal, she did reveal that her mum has 'genuinely fixed herself' and apologised to her kids about the way she behaved. It was definitely the most stand-out scene of the series, as Princess displayed true bravery by lifting the curtain on her now seemingly perfect life at home with a celebrity dad in his mansion. What's more, she gave us a moment most children of divorce can relate to, whether on the astronomical scale of Katie and Peter or not, stating how 'awkward' it would be for her parents to now be in the same room, given their disdain for one another after countless episodes of mud-slinging in the press over the years. More Trending Princess has proven that her head is firmly screwed on, and she has her sights set on her own career goals regardless of the latest drama involving her parents, who divorced in 2009 after four years of marriage. This teen has far more to her than her chaotic upbringing, and she's already doing a fine job of striking that perfect nepo baby balance of acknowledging her advantages and who gave her the leg-up, but also having independent ambitions and being willing to graft to achieve them. In conclusion, Princess Andre is far more multidimensional than cynics might assume.
