Sydney Sweeney breaks silence on split from fiancé Jonathan Davino
Sydney Sweeney is feeling euphoric as a single woman.
The actress, 27, has broken her silence following her split from fiancé Jonathan Davino, 41, after getting engaged in 2022.
During an interview with The Times, Sweeney was asked by a reporter if she was currently planning her wedding, to which she stated: 'No.'
When asked if she was single, the 'Anyone But You' alum replied, 'Yes.'
'I'm learning a lot about myself,' Sweeney expressed. 'Spending more time with my friends. And I'm loving it.'
In March, an insider told People that the couple's relationship had been 'rocky for a long time.'
The source added that Sweeney 'didn't feel right' about walking down the aisle with the businessman, which led her to break things off.
'She's exactly where she wants to be,' they continued. 'Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She's all about working right now and very excited about all her projects.'
The source noted that Sweeney is currently 'in the middle of this magical career that she could only dream of a few years ago' and that 'this is what she wants to focus on right now.'
Although her workload didn't add extra pressure, the thought of following through with the wedding was weighing on the young starlet.
'What did make her overwhelmed though was her relationship and her wedding. She didn't feel right about it.'
'She's not ready to settle down,' the insider said. 'They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn't split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.'
'The White Lotus' actress and the film producer were first romantically linked in 2018 and four years later, in 2022, he popped the question.
In October 2024, while speaking with Glamour magazine, Sweeney took a moment to gush over her then partner.
'We're in it together,' she confessed. 'And we want to see each other succeed.'
As she put it, 'I'm a very successful, independent woman who's worked really hard. I've accomplished and bought everything myself, and I provide for myself and my family.'
At the time, Sweeney shared insight into what makes their romance work, stating, 'You can be in a healthy relationship with someone and also be very successful without needing the man.'
She dubbed herself and Davino 'teammates.'
In April, the exes were spotted out to lunch in Los Angeles, with Davino walking their dog before sitting down to eat.
A month later, Sweeney was seen hanging out with Machine Gun Kelly and Patrick Schwarzenegger while in Las Vegas.
The trio partied together while at the grand opening of the Palm Tree Beach Club in Las Vegas.
One shot posted to social media showed Sweeney flashing a dazzling smile as she stood in between the rocker, 35, and actor, 31.
Along with having fun with friends, the actress is back to filming Season 3 of 'Euphoria' after years long delays.
While Sweeney won't be walking down the aisle IRL anytime soon, her character on the HBO series, Cassie Howard, just might be.
The blonde bombshell was spotted wearing a wedding dress while shooting earlier this year.

Sydney Sweeney's Bath Water Soap Priced At $2K On eBay After Selling Out In 'Seconds' Due To High Demand
Sydney Sweeney's partnership with Dr. Squatch, in which her actual bath water was used to make bars of soap, left fans scrambling with their credit cards ready to snap up the limited edition product. The actress, who is often sexualized online, with netizens making provocative comments about her body, has since reacted to the buzz her bath water has caused, while taking credit for the idea. Sydney Sweeney also recently confirmed that she's single again, months after splitting from her partner of 7 years, Jonathan Davino. Bars of soap infused with Sydney Sweeney's "actual bathwater" have caused a frenzy, selling out in mere seconds upon their release and subsequently appearing on eBay for as much as $2,000. The limited-edition product went on sale on Friday, June 6, at approximately 12:00 p.m. EST and was listed for just $8. However, the soap vanished almost instantly from the brand's website, leaving countless fans in a digital queue, with some reporting wait times of over 250 minutes before the site ultimately crashed. Seemingly shocked at how fast the soap bars became unavailable, some fans took to social media to allege the products never went on sale. But the company squashed the claims, writing, per NBC: "Nah, it was there. People just bought it in .0001 seconds." Dr. Squatch later confirmed the site's overload, stating on social media, "Y'all crashed the site. The Sydney's Bathwater Bliss launch has been insane! We seriously appreciate the Squatch-sized enthusiasm." "We're working hard behind the scenes to make sure the right folks – on a first come, first served basis – get their hands on the bricc. Thanks for your patience," the company added. The soap is now listed on eBay for $100 (£73) to $2,000 (£1,478), according to The Independent. Sweeney is one of the most sexualized actresses in Hollywood, as some fans have made it a habit to make unsolicited comments about her body. Hence, it's no surprise that many would go wild for a bar of soap that contains her bath water. The 27-year-old actress herself confirmed the inclusion of her bath water, telling GQ Magazine, "When we were at the [Dr. Squatch] shoot, they had a tub for me. And I actually got in there and I took some soap, and we had a nice little bath, and they took the water. So it's my real bath water." The "Anyone But You" star reacted to the buzz the product has caused during the New York premiere of her latest film, "Echo Valley." Addressing the online chatter, she told E! News that she "pitched" the idea of the bath water soap and "thinks it's more fun to see everyone else talk about it." Back in March, the "Madame Web" actress decried how she's been over-sexualized all through her acting career. Things reached fever pitch following her hosting gig on "Saturday Night Live," where many fans made what she perceived as "weird" comments about her. In an interview with Variety at the time, Sweeney admitted that the constant remarks make her feel like she has "no control" over online discourse about her own appearance. "I see it, and I just can't allow myself to have a reaction. I don't know how to explain it - I'm still trying to figure it out myself," Sweeney told the news outlet when asked about the viral reaction to her "SNL" debut. "People feel connected and free to be able to speak about me in whatever way they want because they believe that I've signed my life away. That I'm not on a human level anymore, because I'm an actor. That these characters are for everybody else, but then me as Sydney is not for me anymore," Sweeney said. "It's this weird relationship that people have with me that I have no control or say over." Sweeney caused quite a stir during her Thursday appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" to promote her upcoming movie "Echo Valley." On the show, she admitted that she's "kind of psychotic" on set and feels "bad" for her costars while filming certain projects. "I, like, jump in and out," Sweeney told Fallon after he asked how she prepares for her roles. "It's kind of psychotic." "Like, you're happy and fun, and then…" the late-night host said, to which Sweeney added, "And then they say, 'Action!' and then I'm screaming and crying. And then they call, 'Cut!' and I go, 'What's wrong?'" Prior to the craze over her bath water soap bar, Sweeney had to deal with a sad situation in her personal life after calling it quits with her partner of 7 years, Jonathan Davino. The former couple started dating in 2018 and got engaged in 2022. In an interview with The Sunday Times, she confirmed that she's single again, months after multiple outlets previously reported that they'd called off their engagement and ended their relationship. "I'm learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends," she added. "And I'm loving it."

'Not happy': Fans react amid sad news around Tony Squires and Candice Warner
Fans are expressing their sadness after it was revealed on Saturday that long-running sports program 'The Back Page' has been axed after 29 years. Tony Squires, who has hosted the show on Fox Sports for the last 12 years, confirmed the sad news but admitted he wasn't surprised. The sport talk-show has been running since 1997, but will wrap up for good after three more episodes. 'Ironically, I wrote a story in 2021 saying television shows don't usually last 25 years,' Squires told . 'They're like animals on the Savannah - very few of them die of old age. 'There's always something young and exciting with big nasty teeth, coming to get them. Well, The Back Page is now 29 years old, I've been hosting it for almost 13 years ... and we've been got. To be honest, it wasn't a shock.' The late, great Mike Gibson was the show's first host back in 1997, and held the role up until 2012. Peter FitzSimons, Billy Birmingham, Tracey Holmes and Jeff Wells were the panellists when it first began, and in recent times it regularly featured journalist Robert Craddock, ironwoman Candice Warner, NRL legend Greg Alexander and AFL great Brad Johnson. Warner, the wife of Aussie cricket great David, became a weekly panellist in 2022 and used the show as a launching pad for her burgeoning media career. Former AFL player-turned-radio host Ryan Fitzgerald was also a regular panellist, as were Socceroos legends Robbie Slater and Mark Bosnich. 'It's been a privilege to host a show once run by the legendary Mike Gibson,' said Squires, who's expected to stay on with Fox Sports in another role. 'But most of all it's been fun - like sitting at the pub with your mates pretending to know a shitload about sport. 'I'm going to miss it. Not because it was a job, but because it was my social life. I got to hang out with Kelli Underwood, Ryan Fitzgerald, Kerry O'Keeffe, Candice Warner, Brad Johnson, Ben Dixon and Robert Craddock - the most enthusiastic man on the planet. 'We've interviewed hundreds of sporting superstars over the years. From Rod Laver to Gout Gout – a 17-year-old kid who lit up the screen on his first live TV interview show just a few weeks ago.' Fox Sports boss Steve Crawley said the decision to cut 'The Back Page' is not a cost-cutting move, denying it has anything to do with Foxtel's new owners DAZN. 'At Fox Sports we have introduced a number of new shows in recent times and we have more in final planning,' he said. 'The Back Page has been entertaining audiences for nearly three decades; there are very few shows that can claim that. 'Entertainment programming is a tough business in that it's like life itself, how everything has a lifespan. Even the great shows like 'Hey Hey It's Saturday' and 'The Back Page'. In a big country with different codes of football and unique tastes, it's extremely rare for a sports show to survive, let alone for almost 30 years.' RELATED: Fresh blow for Panthers as four-time premiership winner retires Tennis world blasts 'classless' act after French Open women's final Crawley commended Squires and the team that made the show so successful. 'Host Tony Squires, panellists Crash (Craddock) and Fitzy, Candice Warner and Kelli Underwood and producer Matt Parslow have put in so much hard work,' he said. 'We'll celebrate Back Page over the final three weekly episodes.' Fans of the show took to social media on Saturday to express their sadness at hearing it's been axed. "Not happy at all about this decision," one person wrote. Another commented: "Great show. Looked forward to it every Tuesday. Can't believe it is ending." The Back Page Australia's longest-running television sports show is closing down after 29 years. Only 3 more episodes to go.I liked it best when Gibbo was host & Billy Birmingham, Peter 'Chippy' Frilingos, Mike Coleman & David Hookes used to chew the sporting fat. Crash ok too. — OBBY (@OBBY001) June 7, 2025

Sydney Sweeney and Jessica Simpson bring the heat in sexy summer styles
Sydney Sweeney shined when she walked the red carpet at the premiere of her latest film, "Echo Valley," in a custom red strapless Vera Wang ballgown with a fitted corset bodice and peplum detailing at the waist. The actress kept her accessories to a minimum, opting only for a pair of stud earrings. She kept her makeup look natural and wore her long blonde hair in waves and parted it down the middle. She posted an Instagram reel, featuring footage from the event, and fans were quick to flood the comments section with positive messages for the "Anyone But You" star. "You look like a princess," one fan wrote. "Goddess in red," another wrote. After the screening of the movie, Sweeney was photographed leaving the venue in an off-the-shoulder strapless figure-hugging red dress which went down to just below her knee. And she paired the look with matching red heels. The actress recently received backlash when she announced she would be releasing her own line of limited-edition soaps, in partnership with Dr. Squatch, which features her own bathwater as a key ingredient. "I think it's more fun to see everyone else talk about it," Sweeney told E! News at the premiere. "I pitched it." Jessica Simpson pulled out her little black dress when she posed for photos at the We Matter x Limitless Mental Health Dinner. The singer wore a black satin minidress with lace around the chest to the event, pairing it with sheer black tights, black patent leather boots, and a cropped feathered jacket. She kept her makeup look to a minium except for bold lashes and dark eye shadow and wore her blonde hair parted down the middle. Ana de Armas stunned on the red carpet at the world premiere of her latest film, "Ballerina," in a floor-length silver and lilac Louis Vuitton dress with a small train and embroidery. The dress also features crisscross straps on the back as well as a scoop back. She accessorized the look with a pair of earrings, layered bracelets and a ring and wore her hair in a middle part and in waves. She kept her makeup looking natural for the most part, except for bold lipstick and eyeliner. The movie's official Instagram page posted multiple photos of the star, captioning one of them, "Ana de Armas is locked and loaded on the black carpet." "She's so stunning," one fan wrote in the comments section. another added, "You are absolutely gorgeous a beautiful princess." Elle Macpherson turned heads when she walked the red carpet at the Elle Style Awards in an age-defying look, which included a sparkly sequined black jacket and matching pants, which she paired with a sheer black lace shirt underneath. The model accessorized with gold jewelry, a gold clutch and black high heels with designs that looked like leaves crossing over her feet. She kept her makeup look natural and wore her long blonde hair down her back in loose waves. She attended the award show as the Fashion and Beauty Muse, an honor she called "very humbling," as the magazine "not only shaped the industry but also shaped so much of my own journey." She praised the magazine for having "always stood for something deeper" and for championing "women for who we are and how we be in this world." "When I started modeling my dream was to be on the cover of Elle - Elle on Elle . I waited quite a few years until I finally had that cover with Gilles Bensimon," she said in her Instagram caption featuring photos from the evening. "I'm so grateful to have had a journey in this industry where I've learned, grown, stumbled, laughed, and found sisterhood." Renée Zellweger looked chic as she walked the red carpet at the Gotham Awards in a black off-the-shoulder column dress cinched slightly at the waist. The look was a recreation of the iconic outfit her character wore in "Bridget Jones's Diary" 25 years ago. The Academy Award-winning actress wore her hair in an elegant updo, opting for a low bun with a few strands let out to frame one side of her face. She went for a more natural look when it came to makeup,= and accessorized only with a large ring with green gemstones. She is in New York filming the upcoming season of "Only Murders In the Building," which stars Selena Gomez, Martin Short and Steve Martin. Reba McEntire kicked off the festivities at the Music City Rodeo, performing the first-ever concert at the event. While on stage, the Grammy Award-winning country superstar spoke about her family's long-standing history with the rodeo. McEntire famously got her start after she was discovered singing the national anthem at the National Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City in 1974. During her electrifying performance, McEntire was joined on stage by two ACM entertainer of the year award recipients, Miranda Lambert and Lainey Wilson, for a surprise performance. Wilson wore black jeans with a black top with fringe, while Lambert wore a denim jumpsuit, with both of them sporting cowboy hats. McEntire hit the stage in black jeans and a brown jacket with blue embroidery on both, accessorizing the look with a big belt.
