Who is Ariana Madix? Love Island USA host reveals reason for season 7 delay

Hindustan Times3 days ago

Ariana Madix on Tuesday revealed the reason why Love Island USA's season 7 premiere got delayed. The host of the dating show blamed the fans for crashing the servers of the streaming service Peacock, where the reality show was to premiere.
'Not you guys crashing the app! Haha love it! Gotta get the IT cuties on the job,' she said in the caption of an Instagram story post.
Love Island season 7 was supposed to premiere on Peacock at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT, but it did not happen.
Some fans reported that the episode was up nearly half an hour after the scheduled time, while others had to wait 45 minutes.
Amid all the drama regarding Love Island's delay, here is a look at the show's host, Ariana Madix.
Ariana Madix is an American television personality, model, actor and dancer. She was a cast member on the Bravo reality television series Vanderpump Rules before she became the permanent host of Love Island USA in 2024.
Madix was born on June 24, 1985, in Melbourne, Florida, and raised by her father, James, and mother, Tanya. Ariana Madix lived with both of her parents as well as her younger brother, Jeremy Madix.
Madix graduated from Eau Gallie High School in 2003. In 2007, she graduated from Flagler College, where she received a dual bachelor's degree in Theatre and Broadcast Communications. She began riding horses at the age of 6 and had a competitive equestrian career. She also won two national dance championships.
Madix wanted to become a Broadway actor, which she did in 2023. But before that, she started off with acting gigs with 'College Humor' and reality shows after working as a bartender in New York.
Madix replaced actress Sarah Hyland as host for the sixth season of the dating reality series Love Island last year. On May 6, 2024, it was announced that Madix would be reprising the role of Roxie Hart once again in the musical Chicago after a positive first run in early 2024. Madix's second Broadway run spanned August 1 through September 1, 2024.

"Cut Off Her Internet Access": Social Media Users React To Woman Turning Her Bathroom Into Chia Spa

When you buy chia seeds, your immediate thought might be to use them in preparing healthy smoothies or overnight puddings. After all, chia seeds are packed with the goodness of protein, antioxidants, rich fiber and omega-3 fatty acids - a combination that promotes a healthy heart, supports digestion and boosts energy. But turning an entire bathroom into a chia seed garden? Well, that would probably be the last thing on your mind. Believe it or not, digital creator Jessie Jacobson did just that. Eager to take a 'green bath,' she revamped her bathroom into a chia seed spa. Jessie Jacobson shared a video on Instagram demonstrating the process of growing chia seeds. 'I decided I wanted to take a green bath. That's when it hit me - what if I could grow an entire ecosystem in my bathroom? Clearly it was just a blank canvas,' she said. First, it was the bathtub. She smeared the seeds on the surface, calling the procedure a little 'chaotic'. The time-lapse video showed how the seeds evolved into lush green sprouts. She followed the process for the sink and the flush toilet, spraying mist on the seeds three times a day (morning, noon and night) for a week. Much to Jessie's excitement, they actually started to grow. 'I'm a proud owner of the world's first fully functioning chia spa,' claimed the creator with pride. Inspired by her creation, she also made a 3D-printed Shrek headband and a set of fake nails from - you guessed it right - chia seeds. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jessie Jacobson (@growithjessie) Of course, the internet had some interesting comments. 'What's the point of all of this?' asked a user. 'I really wish she didn't do the toilet seat,' said another. 'So happy it's finally finished. Looks amazing! Although I'm sure you could add a chia bath mat too,' suggested one person. A critic wished to 'cut off her internet access'. 'Just praying this is your second bathroom,' a user hoped. 'Girl, blink twice if the chia has taken over your account,' read another comment.
