Eye on the U: Previewing the Miami Hurricanes' spring game
The Miami Hurricanes' slate of 15 spring practices will come to an end on Saturday when the team holds its spring game at Cobb Stadium on UM's campus. The game is slated to run from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
It will be the first and only full live look at the team after the media was allowed to view limited portions of practices (generally individual drills and very little 11 on 11) over the past month.
There are certainly many facets to pay attention to, including the new-look defense under defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman and the potential emergence of key players (including the young wide receivers and an overhauled secondary to name two groups).
On the latest episode of Eye on the U, Miami Herald Hurricanes beat writer Jordan McPherson and deputy sports editor Andre C. Fernandez preview what's to come on Saturday and how it could set the stage for what Miami chooses to do afterward before the team reconvenes in late July to prepare for the 2025 season that starts Aug. 31 against Notre Dame.
McPherson and Fernandez also take a quick look at the state of the basketball team under first-year head coach Jai Lucas, who has already signed three transfers as he builds his first team almost completely from scratch.

It's not as though these two are the only programs in play either, as Brown previously had an official visit with the Texas Longhorns on June 6 and has another scheduled with the Texas A&M Aggies on June 20.
