Isha Koppikar calls Don 3 a huge responsibility for Ranveer Singh, recalls working with Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in the 2006 film.
Isha Koppikar, who played a memorable role in the Shah Rukh Khan-led Don (2006), recently shared her thoughts on Ranveer Singh taking the iconic franchise forward with Don 3. Isha's performance, especially her energetic dance face-off with Priyanka Chopra in the track 'Aaj Ki Raat," still resonates with fans nearly two decades later. Now, with the baton being passed to a new generation, Isha says the responsibility is massive—and she has full faith in the team.
Speaking to Zoom, the actress expressed her support and confidence in the upcoming reboot, 'With every generation, new-age actors are trying (to recreate) the superhits of the past. It is a great responsibility. First Shah Rukh Khan took it on his shoulders, now Ranveer Singh is taking it on his. I wish them good luck. I hope they make a good film, which I am very confident about. A great team is working behind it."
Isha also looked back fondly on her experience shooting Don, a film that brought together some of the biggest names in the industry.
'It was such a great canvas and stellar ensemble that it was challenging enough for me to get the best out of myself and push my limits. It had such great actors like Boman Irani, Arjun Rampal, etc. Of course, there was Shah Rukh with whom I wanted to work. God gave me an opportunity. Priyanka was opposite me."
She further shared how working alongside top-tier talent pushed her creatively, 'When you have good actors and technicians around, it pushes your limits, and you want to do more and better. You are sharing the screen space with them. I want to be seen as much as they, if not more. It gets competitive and I love that. When you work with the best, it gets the best out of you."
Don 3, directed by Farhan Akhtar, is set to begin filming later this year. While initial reports suggested that Kiara Advani would play the female lead, more recent buzz indicates that Kriti Sanon might have replaced her. However, no official confirmation has been made yet.
As fans eagerly await the next chapter of the stylish action saga, it's clear that the legacy of Don continues to stir anticipation—both among audiences and those who helped bring its earlier versions to life.

Mouni Roy Denies Calling Paparazzi Every Time: ‘It's Really Taxing Because…'

Last Updated: Mouni Roy clarifies she doesn't always call paparazzi, saying they often recognize celebrity cars. She admits calling them only for promotions or when dressed up. It is a notion that every time a celebrity gets clicked, that star has called the paparazzi for spotting, but Mouni Roy has burst this bubble and, in a recent chat, shared that it is not true. Rather, the paps know almost all the car numbers of all the celebrities, and that is how they manage to know who is going where. In conversation with Hindustan Times, the actor shared, 'They are there, especially because if we are here in Bandra, they know your cars and where you're going. Sometimes, the restaurants or places you go to want to promote themselves. I am not saying I never call paps. But I call them when I need to be or want to be spotted, and I am dressed well. If I am promoting a film or a show, it's a very different thing. But every day, no!" 'It's really taxing, because you can't look nice all the time, and can't be at your best every time," she further added. Mouni Roy on the work front Mouni Roy began her career on television with shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and rose to fame with Naagin. She later moved to films, making her Bollywood debut in Gold and going on to appear in projects like Made in China, Brahmāstra, and Romeo Akbar Walter. Over the years, she has taken on a mix of TV, film, and OTT roles, proving her versatility as an actor. Mouni Roy on being typecast In an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, Mouni said, 'I have been typecast since the beginning of my career. When I did Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, people said the girl next door can't play a glam part. When I did a few reality shows, dance reality shows, they said I was too glamorous. When I did Sati, they said I was too Indian. When I did Naagin, it was 'she can only do fantasy fiction or mythological shows.' That's something I've always dealt with." 'As long as – whether it's glam, outlandish, girl next door, or dancing – if you can see that I'm putting in my hard work and 100%, and it resonates with the audience and they receive it well, you receive it well – that's my takeaway from it," she concluded. Mouni Roy on the personal front On the personal front, Mouni Roy is married to Suraj Nambiar, a Dubai-based businessman. The couple tied the knot in January 2022 in a traditional ceremony that combined South Indian and Bengali customs. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Chacha Chaudhary on mission to clean Ganga

New Delhi, Aug 10 (PTI) India's beloved comic hero Chacha Chaudhary, whose brain works 'faster than a computer," is back but this time diving into the waters of the Ganga with his giant sidekick Sabu to battle villains threatening the river's health. A latest set of stories, released as part of a collaboration between the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) and Diamond Books publication, blends humour, action and environmental awareness in a way only Chacha Chaudhary can. The newly published comics take the familiar duo into four fresh adventures, each highlighting a unique aspect of the Ganga ecosystem. In an anti-poaching story, Chacha Chaudhary joins hands with friendly dolphins that also showcases the river's biodiversity. In 'Aviral" (ever-flowing) and 'Nirmal" (clean), Chacha Choudhary and Sabu ensure that polluters and illegal dumpers face justice. A third adventure brings in a wise old tortoise, representing resilience and the age-old connection between river and life. As always, Sabu's sheer physical might crushes the henchmen, while Chacha Chaudhary's razor-sharp mind unravels the masterminds' plots. The mix of fast-paced action and moral clarity has long been a hallmark of cartoonist Pran's creation, but here, the stakes are ecological survival, not just small-town peace. By weaving environmental themes into an iconic Indian comic format, the initiative aims to make children and young readers not only fans of Chacha Chaudhary, but also spread awareness on Ganga conservation. 'Comics have a way of making serious issues relatable," a senior official said, noting that using familiar characters helps convey the urgency of river conservation to a wider audience.
