Under 'CM Yuva Abhiyan' UP govt to empower transgender community
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 26 (ANI): The Uttar Pradesh Government is set to take an initiative to make the transgender community 'self-reliant' and 'connect' with the mainstream of society.
A statement by the Chief Minister's Office said that the State government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is 'set to take an initiative to make the transgender community self-reliant'.
The statement added that now transgenders will be linked to CM Yuva Abhiyan, under which they will be given training and loan assistance based on skills.
This initiative will not only strengthen the transgender community financially, but will also play a decisive role in connecting them with the mainstream of society, it added.
Earlier today, CM Yogi Adityanath called (Central Electronics Limited) CEL's journey a symbol of India's industrial revival and self-reliance. He said it is a key part of Prime Minister Modi's vision for a developed India by 2047, and that through organisations like CEL, the new India is moving forward with strength, technology, and confidence, an official statement said.
CM Yogi and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh, laid the foundation stone for the CEL-ESDS Green Data Centre in Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, on Thursday.
During the event, the Chief Minister expressed happiness about the new greenfield data centre being developed by CEL. He said, 'It is a strong step toward achieving PM Modi's goal of net-zero emissions by 2070.'
He also mentioned that Uttar Pradesh will generate 20,000 megawatts of renewable energy by 2027, with CEL playing a key role in this mission.
At the Golden Jubilee celebration of Central Electronics Limited (CEL) in Ghaziabad and the foundation stone-laying ceremony of its new data center, CM Yogi took part in the puja and also visited the exhibition, where he was given information about the data center and its operations. He also planted a sapling as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign. (ANI)

Areas like Khoda, Loni, and Muradnagar will be brought under the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation to enable more comprehensive growth of the region. The CM also spoke about plans for an integrated office complex in Ghaziabad to bring all district offices under one roof. He also noted that steps taken in recent years have increased the green cover in Ghaziabad, making it a more beautiful city. He said that garbage heaps had been removed, and new models for greenery like Miyawaki forests and city forests can now be seen across the city. "We are also working on the revival of the Hindon river, which was once an identity of Ghaziabad, using natural methods, as well as large-scale tree plantations on both sides of the river under the 'Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam' campaign. The double-engine govt will continue this journey of development, and the administration will implement the suggestions and initiatives given by public representatives," he said.

Uttarakhand CM directs officials to run special campaigns to resolve pending complaints
Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], June 26 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed officials to run a special campaign to resolve complaints pending for more than 180 days in the CM Helpline 1905. Expressing displeasure, the Chief Minister issued strict instructions to the officials, stating that action would be taken against officers who failed to dispose of the cases promptly. While instructing not to close public complaints unnecessarily, he stated that more effective efforts should be made to bring the CM Helpline up to the best practices of the state. While reviewing CM Helpline 1905 in the Secretariat on Thursday, the Chief Minister directed officials to organise Tehsil Diwas across the entire state on a single day. The Chief Minister directed all District Magistrates to organise Janta Darshan, Tehsil Diwas, and BDC meetings regularly for the speedy resolution of public problems. 'Encroachment and verification campaigns should be run more effectively by the police and administration together. Work should be done rapidly towards making two villages in each district as Adarsh Gram, for this, nodal officers should be appointed in all the districts soon,' CM Dhami said. The Chief Minister directed that wherever the condition of electricity poles and transformers is bad in the state, they should be replaced immediately. 'Safety audit of all transformers should also be done. It should be ensured that there is no problem of low voltage and hanging electricity wires; if such cases are found, strict action will be taken against the concerned officers,' he said. The Chief Minister directed the officers associated with all the authorities to ensure that there is no pendency in passing the maps of people's houses. He said that the three districts that become TB-free first will be honoured. The Chief Minister praised the Transport, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Excise, and Energy Departments for their efforts in resolving complaints through the CM Helpline. The Chief Minister directed the Public Works Department, Geology and Mining, Revenue, Home, and Finance Departments to expedite the redressal of complaints further. The CM Helpline is receiving more complaints related to drinking water, street light maintenance, connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission, power cuts, and electricity bills. The Chief Minister also spoke to the complainants of the CM Helpline during the meeting. On the complaint of Upendra Singh Rawat of Uttarkashi regarding the drinking water line, the Chief Minister directed the District Magistrate of Uttarkashi to resolve his problem within a week. Alam from Haridwar had complained about street lights; his problem has been resolved. Hridesh Negi of Dehradun said that work has started on his complaint regarding the construction of a culvert. Gaurav Nautiyal of Chamoli's complaint regarding drinking water has also been resolved. Devendra's complaint about low voltage from Nainital has also been resolved. (ANI)

India's oil import from Iran
New Delhi [India], June 26 (ANI): The Ministry of External Affairs clarified India's position on importing crude oil from Iran on thursday, stating that energy purchases are based on 'market factors and the prevailing global situation.' 'Our energy requirements, or the energy purchases we make, are based on market factors and the prevailing global situation,' MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in THEIR weekly briefing. Further, the Ministry also expressed deep concerns about the situation in West Asia, including the Israeli attacks on nuclear scientists and certain universities in Iran. In response to a question about targeting science students and scientists, the MEA spokesperson emphasised India's commitment to peace and diplomacy. 'As you would have seen in our statement earlier as well, we expressed deep concerns about the recent escalation of the situation in West Asia, including the attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. Subsequently, we have welcomed the ceasefire, as you would have seen,' Jaiswal stated. The MEA spokesperson noted that India is closely monitoring updates from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding the radiation levels at the affected sites. 'India is closely following updates from the IAEA about the radiation levels in the affected sites,' the spokesperson said. 'We have noted that so far, IAEA has reported that the targeted facilities either confirmed no nuclear material or small quantities of natural or low-enriched uranium, and that radioactive contamination has been limited to the buildings affected by the strikes. We urge a return to the path of dialogue and diplomacy for an early restoration of regional peace, security, and stability,' Jaiswal affirmed. (ANI)
