Tamron Hall Renewed for Season 7
ABC's syndicated daytime series Tamron Hall will be back for Season 7, according to a Monday report from our sister site Variety.
'Tamron's distinctive, thoughtful ability to tap into the meaningful issues of the day continues to resonate with her devoted 'Tam Fam' across ABC Owned Television Stations and the Hearst Television markets,' president of ABC News Group and Disney Entertainment Networks Debra OConnell said in a statement. 'With its unique combination of interesting newsmakers and enlightening conversation, I know the show will deliver an exceptional and riveting Season 7.'

The show, which is distributed in national syndication by Disney Entertainment, is shot in New York City, with both Hall and Quiana Burns on board as executive producers.
This season, Hall's show has touched on subjects like medical gaslighting, true crime, parenthood and more, with guests that have included Deion Sanders, Mary J. Blige, Macy Gray, Jaleel White, Kirk Franklin, Miranda Lambert, Wayne Brady and Bebe Winans.

Einbinder's mother is Laraine Newman, an original Saturday Night Live cast member. Hawke is set to return as Robin in the final season of Netflix's Stranger Things later this year, and we already know she's carrying on a hefty Hollywood legacy. Her mom is Uma Thurman, known for Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill films, and her dad is Ethan Hawke, from Training Day and Reality Bites. Hewson plays rebellious sister Becka in Apple TV+'s dark comedy, and if you don't recognize her last name, it's because her dad only goes by one name: Hewson's father is U2 frontman Bono. One-third of SNL's Please Don't Destroy trio, Higgins already has a family member on the NBC payroll. His dad is Steve Higgins, an SNL writer who serves as Jimmy Fallon's sidekick on The Tonight Show. Yes, Schwarzenegger — who played arrogant vacationer Saxon on HBO's The White Lotus — is the son of '80s action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger, and his mom is former NBC newswoman Maria Shriver, too. When Quaid, best known for playing vigilante Hughie Campbell on Prime Video's The Boys, was just a boy himself, he had some very famous parents. He's the only child of film stars Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid. Along with starring as Stephen DeMarco on Hulu's romantic drama Tell Me Lies, White has also appeared on shows like SEAL Team and The Middle. And his mom is still appearing on the small screen, too: White's mother is Katey Sagal, whose long TV résumé stretches from Married… With Children and Sons of Anarchy to the just-wrapped The Conners. Yes, Prime Video Has Added More Ads Lately — Like, a Lot More
You're not imagining things: It does take longer to watch a TV show on Prime Video these days. The ad load on Amazon's streaming service has essentially doubled in recent months, from two and a half to three minutes of commercials per hour to four to six minutes per hour, according to a report from AdWeek. Amazon defended the move in a statement: 'While demand continues to grow, our commitment is to improving ad experiences rather than simply increasing the number of ads shown.' Prime Video was ad-free when it debuted in 2006 as an add-on to Amazon's Prime subscription service that offers free delivery of Amazon products for an annual fee. In January 2024, though, Prime Video introduced ads on all of its films and TV shows, asking subscribers to pay an additional $2.99 per month fee for an ad-free experience. (Other streamers like Netflix, Hulu and Disney+ all offer cheaper subscription tiers with ads as well.) 'This change will allow us to continue investing in compelling content and keep increasing that investment over a long period of time,' the streamer said in a message to subscribers at the time, adding: 'We aim to have meaningfully fewer ads than linear TV and other streaming TV providers.' Sabrina Carpenter gets cheeky as she announces new album, ‘Man's Best Friend'
Sabrina Carpenter sure has been a 'Busy Woman.' Just a year after releasing 'Short n' Sweet,' the 'Espresso' singer has another album on the way. Carpenter took to Instagram Wednesday morning to announce 'Man's Best Friend,' due Aug. 29, along with its sultry (and divisive) cover art featuring the singer on all fours in front of a man pulling her hair. She also posted a close-up image of a dog whose collar is emblazoned with the album title, highlighting the cheeky play on words. Carpenter gave fans a taste of the new project last week with 'Manchild,' a twangy synth-pop track that sees the singer questioning, 'Why so sexy if so dumb? / And how survive the Earth so long?' Written with Amy Allen and Jack Antonoff shortly after finishing 'Short n' Sweet,' the single has been compared to her songs '15 Minutes' and 'Busy Woman,' released earlier this year. 'It sounds like the song embodiment of a loving eye roll and it feels like a never ending road trip in the summer,' Carpenter said of 'Manchild' on Instagram. 'Hence why i wanted to give it to you now- so you can stick your head out the car window and scream it all summer long!' 'Manchild' is accompanied by a playful music video that shows the singer hitchhiking with various incompetent men and bathing with pigs in her bra and underwear. Fans have also been quick to point out that the dog in the video may be the same as the one in the album announcement. While not much else is known about the album, Carpenter sifted through ABBA, Donna Summer and Dolly Parton records during an Instagram Live Wednesday morning, hinting at her possible influences, according to Variety. The singer notably covered the Weather Girls' '80s hit 'It's Raining Men' during her headlining set at Primavera Sound Barcelona last weekend, where she also performed 'Manchild' live for the first time. This fall, Carpenter is set to return to North America for another leg of her Short n' Sweet Tour, finishing with six nights at Los Angeles' Arena on Nov. 16, 17, 19, 20, 22 and 23. Perhaps fans can expect some new additions to the setlist.
