Yellowjackets Renewed for Season 4
The poet Taylor Swift once asked: Are we out of the woods yet/are we out of the woods yet/are we out of the woods yet/are we out of the woods? Now, we have an answer: Nope. Paramount+ With Showtime has renewed Yellowjackets for Season 4, the cable network announced Tuesday. More from TVLine The Last of Us Boss Hints at Season 4: 'There's No Way to Complete This Narrative' in Upcoming Third Season Law & Order: SVU's Mariska Hargitay Is 'Ecstatic' Over Kelli Giddish's Full-Time Return to the Show Sesame Street Avoids Cancellation, Finds New Home on Netflix 'Yellowjackets has become a cultural juggernaut; with Season 3 shattering all previous records, we are thrilled to announce its renewal for a Season 4 on Paramount+,' Chris McCarthy, Co-CEO of Paramount Global and President of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, said via statement. '[Series co-creators] Ashley [Lyle] and Bart [Nickerson] have masterfully crafted an utterly singular, genre-defying phenomenon: a perfect alchemy of psychological horror, survival thriller and coming-of-age drama that continues to captivate audiences worldwide, brought to life by our extraordinarily talented and beloved cast.' According to the network, the Season 3 finale (which dropped April 13) was the most-streamed episode in the series' run so far. The hour brought the stranded teens' story to the point where we first met them: the hunt in the woods that kicked off the series' premiere. It revealed that the girl who died in the pit was Mari (who later was eaten by her cannibalistic teammates) and that the Antler Queen was Shauna. 7th Heaven Reboot in Development From EP Jessica Biel — Which Cast Members Will Return?
A reboot of the classic family drama 7th Heaven is reportedly in early development from CBS Studios, with one of the show's original stars on board as an executive producer, according to Variety. Through her production company Iron Ocean, Jessica Biel is reportedly developing a new iteration of the show, one that would follow a diverse family. No original cast members are expected to appear at this time. No further information, including a potential network or streaming home for the reboot, is known at this time. 7th Heaven initially ran for 11 seasons (10 on The WB and one last hurrah on The CW) between 1996 and 2007, airing a total of 243 episodes. The story of a minister and his family, 7th Heaven originally starred Stephen Collins as Eric, Catherine Hicks as Annie, Barry Watson as Matt, David Gallagher as Simon, Biel as Mary, Beverly Mitchell as Lucy, Mackenzie Rosman as Ruthie and Happy the Dog as her dang self. Additional notable series regulars throughout the show's storied run included Geoff Stults as Ben Kinkirk, Ashlee Simpson as Cecelia Smith, Rachel Blanchard as Roxanne Richardson, Jeremy London as Chandler Hampton, Tyler Hoechlin as Martin Brewer and Haylie Duff as Sandy Jameson. The show's legacy was tarnished in December 2014 when audio recordings were released of Collins admitting to engaging in sexual misconduct with several underage girls. Longtime Fox & Friends co-anchor Steve Doocy announced on Thursday that his role at the morning show is changing in a big way. 'I'm not retiring. I'm not leaving the show. I'm still a host, but it's time for a change.' (Watch his full announcement here.) He added that his new role will 'make it easier for me to report from Florida and other parts of America that don't get a lot of network airtime. I'll be going from the Carolinas to the Keys, from middle America to Mar-a-Lago. Call me the coast-to-coast host.' Plus, he still plans to join 'the couch crew for commentary' remotely, assuring viewers that they will 'still hear my voice and my opinions loud and clear.' Though Doocy said he was delighted to no longer wake up in the middle of the night for his work commute, he got emotional when acknowledging his friends and colleagues in New York that he won't see every day. 'I have a lot of friends in this skyscraper. I'm going to miss seeing them in person,' a choked-up Doocy went on. 'The security guys, the cafe crew, especially the hair and makeup team, because they are geniuses at what they do. And the closest to my heart: the Fox & Friends team, working day and night producing America's No. 1 cable morning news show.' Doocy then gave individual kudos to Fox & Friends co-hosts Brian Kilmeade, Ainsley Earhardt and Lawrence Jones, who cued up a sizzle reel of highlights from Doocy's many years at Fox & Friends. Royal Pains has a pulse after all: NBC is developing a revival of the USA Network medical dramedy, according to our sister site Deadline, with star Mark Feuerstein returning to reprise his role. The revival catches up with Hank 'several years later' and finds him 'searching for a new purpose in life' and 'about to embark on his biggest project yet,' per the official synopsis. Debuting in 2009, Royal Pains became a steady ratings performer for USA Network, eventually running for eight seasons. Paolo Costanzo co-starred as Hank's brother Evan, with Reshma Shetty as physician assistant Divya and Brooke D'Orsay as Evan's wife Paige. The supporting cast included Jill Flint, Ben Shenkman, Campbell Scott and Henry Winkler. If it makes it onto NBC's primetime schedule, the Royal Pains revival would join Suits LA, a continuation of fellow USA Network series Suits, with Stephen Amell in the lead role.
