Alpha IVF Reported RM57 Million PATMI For FY25, Looks Set For Philippine Expansion
The strong bottom-line performance was supported by revenue growth of 5.5% to RM176.8 million in FY2025 from RM167.6 million in the previous year, led by the Group's Malaysia operations, particularly the foreign patient segment.
Malaysia operations contributed RM157.2 million, or 88.9% of the Group's total revenue in FY2025, a 16.0% increase from RM135.5 million in the previous year, or 80.9% of the Group's total revenue.
The Group's Singapore operations contributed the remaining RM19.6 million. For Malaysia operations, local demand remained stable, while foreign patient revenue regained momentum this quarter, with all key markets, including China, Indonesia, and Singapore, recording an upward trend. The contribution of foreign patients to Malaysia's operations saw significant growth in FY2025, rising to RM110.1 million or 70.0% of total revenue, from RM81.8 million or 60.4% in FY2024.
In the fourth quarter ended 31 May 2025 (4Q25), the Group's revenue rose 7.0% year-on-year to RM50.0 million from RM46.7 million previously, while PATMI saw a 14.7% increase to RM16.1 million from RM14.0 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The Group declared a second interim dividend of 0.50 sen per share in respect of FY2025, payable on 29 August 2025. Together with the first interim dividend of 0.50 sen per share paid on 31 December 2024, the total dividends for FY2025
amount to 1.00 sen per share, representing a payout of RM48.6 million or 84.6% of PATMI. This is well above the Group's commitment to distribute at least 60% of its annual PATMI for shareholders.
The medical outfit announced that it is establishing a new, full-fledged fertility treatment centre in Tuguegarao, Philippines, marking the Group's second planned facility in the country. The group said the centre will provide minimally invasive surgery in Gynaecology, which is expected to contribute significantly to the centre's revenue. Related

IJM Construction bags RM1.4b fast-track data centre deal in Johor
IJM Construction Sdn Bhd has landed a RM1.4 billion contract to build a large-scale data centre facility in Johor Bahru – the largest data centre project in the company's history. The company, however, did not disclose the client's identity. The fast-track job will deliver a six-storey data centre with integrated offices and a refuse and recycling facility, covering a gross floor area of about 62,000 square metres. IJM Construction will handle full civil and structural works using a pre-cast system supported by steel structures for mechanical and electrical plant installations. Designed to achieve LEED Gold and GreenRE Platinum certifications, the building will feature a distinctive green wall façade with integrated irrigation. The company says these sustainability elements complement advanced construction methods for long-term operational efficiency. 'This project win demonstrates IJM Construction's ability to deliver complex, high-specification facilities on accelerated schedules,' said Group CEO & MD Datuk Lee Chun Fai in a statement. 'By applying our core strengths in structural delivery and execution, we are able to meet the demands of today's hyperscale data centre market for speed, quality and scalability. 'We are also seeing stronger emphasis on environmental performance, with certifications and green features becoming standard in data centre design. Our role is to ensure these evolving requirements are met with reliability and precision. 'The rapid growth of AI, cloud services, and high-density computing is driving unprecedented investment in Malaysia's digital infrastructure. Johor's position as a key regional node makes projects like this critical, and IJM is well-placed to deliver the capacity and performance that operators require.' Scheduled for completion in September 2026, the project will be delivered within a 13-month timeline. The RM1.4 billion deal boosts IJM Construction's order book from RM7.6 billion as at March 31, 2025 to RM9.2 billion, with ongoing projects in data centres, E&E manufacturing facilities, and logistics hubs. — TMR

Affin Group posts 22.1 per cent rise in first-half profit to RM358 million
Published on: Friday, August 15, 2025 Published on: Fri, Aug 15, 2025 Text Size: KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Group posted a profit before tax (PBT) after zakat of RM358 million for the six months ended June 30 this year, marking a 22.1 per cent year-on-year increase from RM293.1 million in the same period last year. The growth was supported by a RM160.9 million rise in net income, partly offset by a RM80.2 million increase in impairment allowances. The Group's gross loans and financing grew by 7.3 per cent to RM74.1 billion, while customer deposits rose 9.8 per cent to RM78.2 billion, with its Current Account and Savings Account (Casa) ratio improving to 28.2 per cent from 25.9 per cent a year earlier. President and Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah said the performance reflected the success of the Group's Axelerate 2028 (AX28) Plan, supported by the launch of its AffinAlwaysX mobile banking app in May 2025. 'Our inaugural US$300 million Senior Unsecured Notes issuance was 3.5 times oversubscribed, signalling strong global investor confidence and strengthening our cross-border financing capabilities,' he said. He noted that despite a 19.6 per cent year-on-year increase in CASA deposits, there was a 9.2 per cent quarter-on-quarter drop due to shifts towards fixed deposits, adding that a new Casa payroll strategy is underway to boost growth. 'Affin's MSCI ESG rating upgrade from 'A' to 'AA' and a RM13 billion loan pipeline highlight the momentum we have, even with some deals temporarily delayed by market conditions,' Datuk Wan Razly added. Affin Islamic Bank Berhad recorded a PBT of RM185.4 million, up 24.6 per cent from RM148.8 million, driven by an RM80.6 million increase in net financing income, while non-interest income for the Group grew 14.3 per cent to RM324.8 million. The Group's gross impaired loan ratio improved to 1.83 per cent from 1.94 per cent at the end of 2024, with a loan loss coverage of 80.43 per cent and a loan loss reserve of 123.08 per cent, alongside strong capital and liquidity ratios exceeding regulatory requirements. 'With solid capital buffers, robust liquidity and disciplined risk management, Affin remains on track to deliver sustainable value creation, leveraging digital capabilities and expanding both its Islamic and Enterprise Banking franchises,' Datuk Wan Razly said. * Follow us on our official WhatsApp channel and Telegram for breaking news alerts and key updates! * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news?
