Mark Eruiti Taute, 51, is believed to be actively avoiding capture. Police on Monday said they believed someone might know where he is. They warned the public not to approach him. "Anyone with information is urged to call 111 immediately and quote file number 250501/7137," police said in a statement. "Alternatively information can be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111." No specific region was cited.

Name of teenager who died after Ōtara street brawl released
File photo Photo: 123rf Police have named the 19-year-old who died after a street brawl in the South Auckland suburb of Ōtara on Friday night. Greig Kelvin Temarama-Abela, of Auckland, died in hospital after he was found critically injured following a reported street fight on Wymondley Road A second person was taken to hospital after the incident, but has since been discharged. A 19-year-man has been remanded in custody, charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm over the injuries inflicted on the second person. Police have said further charges are likely. Detective Inspector Tofilau Faamanuia Vaaelua of Counties Manukau CIB, said the investigation team was "continuing to assess every line of enquiry available to us". Charges laid, vehicle seized after shooting leaves man with life-threatening injuries in Lower Hutt
Photo: RNZ / Angus Dreaver A person has been charged after a shooting left a man with life-threatening injuries in Lower Hutt on Sunday. Emergency services were called to a Stokes Valley address about 9am after a report of a firearm being discharged. The victim was airlifted to Wellington Hospital, where he remains in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit. The suspect was arrested last night and was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and unlawful possession of a firearm, police said. The 25-year-old Taitā man appeared in court today and was remanded in custody, to reappear in the Hutt Valley District Court on 14 August. Police also seized a vehicle of interest, a maroon-coloured Toyota MarkX station wagon, which will be forensically examined. "We ask that anyone in or around the Hanson Grove area in Stokes Valley, the Sladden St area in Naenae, as well as Poole St in Taitā, between 7am and 10am on Sunday 3 August, review any CCTV or dashcam footage they have," Detective Sergeant Martin Todd said. "Please get in touch with us if you filmed this station wagon." Police have a visible presence in the Stokes Valley area that will continue over the coming days, Todd said. Anyone with relevant information should contact police on 105 and quote file number 250803/0624 or make an anonymous report via Crimestoppers on 0800 0555 111.
