Ola Electric Share Price: Shares of Ola Electric Mobility Ltd were under significant pressure in Tuesday's trading session, dropping as much as 7.04 per cent to a low of Rs 49.91. The stock was last seen 5.9 per cent lower at Rs 50.52, extending its six-month losses to 48.74 per cent.
On the earnings front, the EV-focused company reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 870 crore for the January-March 2025 quarter (Q4 FY25), widening from Rs 416 crore in the same period last year. What Should Investors Do?
Kotak Institutional Equities has maintained a 'Downgrade' rating on the stock, slashing its target price to Rs 30 per share. This suggests a potential downside of nearly 44 per cent from its previous close at Rs 53.24. The brokerage warned that Ola Electric is likely to continue facing EBITDA losses due to weakening brand equity and intensifying competition, as noted in a CNBC-TV18 report. It also flagged challenges in the company's entry into the motorcycle segment, citing execution and credibility concerns.
Technical Indicators Show Mixed Signals
Technically, Ola Electric's stock is currently trading below five of its eight key simple moving averages (SMAs) — including the 5-day, 10-day, 100-day, 150-day, and 200-day SMAs — pointing to bearish signals across various timeframes. However, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 57.7 indicates the stock is neither overbought nor oversold. Meanwhile, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) remains positive at 0.4, staying above the center and signal lines, which suggests some ongoing bullish momentum.
For the full fiscal year 2024-25 (FY25), Ola Electric posted a net loss of Rs 2,276 crore, compared with Rs 1,584 crore in FY24. Revenue from operations also fell to Rs 4,514 crore, down from Rs 5,010 crore in FY24. The company said its gross margins improved by 38 per cent YoY in FY25, and in Q1 FY26, gross margins saw a 10 percentage point sequential improvement. Ola Electric aims to achieve profitability in the current fiscal year (FY26), focusing on revenue growth and operating leverage. 'FY26 will be focused on scaling revenue and operating leverage as the company marches towards sustainable profitability," it stated in a filing.

Neglected Hubballi's TenderSURE road demands attention
Hubballi: The TenderSURE project, implemented to provide better infrastructure and enhance the city's appearance, requires immediate attention to restore its intended purpose. The 2.19-km TenderSURE road in North Karnataka's Hubballi requires immediate maintenance and oversight. Since its public opening in 2019, despite initial efforts by police and municipal authorities to maintain this Rs 35 crore infrastructure project, the road from Arts College Circle to Tolankere via Shirur Park deteriorated significantly and requires urgent attention. The situation worsened due to inadequate oversight from civic bodies and law enforcement. Vehicle parking along the roadside and commercial establishments encroaching upon pedestrian walkways have created congestion on this stretch, which extends from Arts College Circle to Tolankere via Shirur Park. Currently, pedestrians are finding it difficult to use the footpaths as shopkeepers have extended their businesses onto them. Despite having parking spaces in commercial complexes and others, motorists park their vehicles haphazardly on both sides of the road, causing traffic congestion. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo Local residents have expressed concerns about the deteriorating condition of this flagship project. The road, which was meant to showcase modern urban infrastructure, now exhibits signs of wear and tear. The tiles on footpaths are broken in many places, and the road markings have faded considerably. Initially, during the road's inauguration, both police and civic officials collaborated to establish designated parking zones. However, the implementation of this plan was mysteriously halted. Currently, vehicles are routinely parked along the road's edges, alleged people. Umesh Dushi, a social activist, said traffic police initiated periodic drives to clear illegal parking and encroachments, but the problem resurfaces within days. The authorities need to implement a permanent solution, including regular maintenance schedules and strict enforcement of parking rules. Commissioner of HDMC, Rudresh Ghali, said a dedicated meeting with the police department would be arranged regarding the TenderSURE road. He said they would work towards clearing all obstacles from the road and strictly remove footpath encroachments. He said enforcement actions would commence shortly.

Defence testing lab to come up at Sidco estate in Trichy
1 2 Trichy: Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (Tidco) has finalised a 1.4 acre site inside Thuvakudi Small Industries development Corporation (Sidco) industrial estate near NIT Trichy to develop Advancing Mechanical & Material Defence Testing lab at an outlay of Rs 50 crore. The integrated testing facility will function under public-private collaboration involving major public sector companies including BEML and HAL to engage in high-end testing and certification of materials for aerospace and defence companies in the state. Proposed under Defence Testing Infrastructure Scheme (DTIS), the lab, named System Testing and Research in Advanced Material (STREAM) foundation, will have comprehensive infrastructure comprising at least 40 testing machinery on 13,000 square feet floor space. As the state govt already has a built-up space of 3,000 square feet in Thuvakudi Sidco complex, Tidco has simultaneously launched procurement procedures to buy material testing equipment while expanding the built-up space. "The aerospace and defence testing lab will decentralize the investment and boost Tamil Nadu's leadership in defence and aerospace sector. Since Trichy as a node of the defence industrial corridor has an established ecosystem for metal fabrication, the lab will be a game changer," Wing Commander P Madhusoodhanan, vice-president, (aerospace and defence), Tidco, told TOI. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo As the aerospace and defence sector requires high quality standards, lack of a comprehensive material testing facility in Trichy was so far discouraging industries from exploring new business areas. Once the facility becomes operational, testing requirements will be satisfied locally, said Tidco officials. "The material testing lab in Thuvakudi is set to play an important role in the state's industrial ecosystem. Skill development service for workers will be provided at the lab. Volume of production done by local companies will certainly increase. Initially, around 30-40 people will be employed in the testing lab," Angayasamy Subbiah, managing partner, Vaidheswaran industries, an industry partner of the proposed STREAM Lab, said. The proposed common testing facility will provide quality certification and validation services for local industries to manufacture products for major defence and aerospace companies. "Not only defence and aerospace, even ancillary units of Bhel Trichy will benefit since material grade and quality testing is a key component in manufacturing," N Kanagasabapathy, coordinator, Bhel small-scale industries (Bhelsia), said. The integrated testing lab is set to become operational by December. Tidco said that the lab will run as a non-profit company, generating revenue only to sustain the operations and maintenance.

Dharwad: District minister Santosh Lad has affirmed his commitment to the overall development of the newly formed Alnavar taluk. He said continuous efforts are being made to make Alnavar a model taluk by taking up various development works. Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the construction of Praja Soudha in Alnavar on Tuesday, the minister expressed his commitment to developing Alnavar taluk holistically and providing all necessary basic infrastructure to both the taluk headquarters and every village within the taluk. "The state govt has sanctioned Rs 8.6 crore for the construction of the Praja Soudha, which will include modern amenities for public and administrative use," Lad said. "Though the Praja Soudha is being constructed on the outskirts of the town, the area will soon become central as Alnavar expands," he said.
