So when she saw that Crocs had brought out a new style school shoe, she was quick to snap a pair up.
Zara then took to TikTok to share a closer look at the £34.99 Mary Jane Clog, which go from sizes infant 11 to junior 6 in the kids' sizes.
They are also available in pink and white, and in adult sizes, while the toddler version goes from infant size 4 to 10.
"Crocs have brought out a school shoe and that's what they look like," Zara said in her TikTok video as she held up the slingback black shoes, which have a slight platform.
"Not to everybody's taste I'm sure but these I actually think they're quite cute!"
She added that as her son "won't wear any other shoe" than Crocs, getting dressed for school in September will be made a whole lot easier thanks to the footwear.
"Everything is all about feel with him, so Crocs are the only shoes he wears," Zara continued.
"And when I saw these school shoes I was like, 'Done! Don't care how much they cost!'
"Because every year I take them and try on school shoes and he picks a pair and then the next thing he's like two weeks in saying, 'no they're not comfy, I .don't like them, they really hurt my feet' blah blah'."
She added that she's hoping her video makes it to other parents whose kids struggle with sensory issues.
And people in the comments section were quick to weigh in on the footwear find, as some pointed out that the shoes won't be particularly practical in wet weather.
"All fun and games til Winter time in snow or rain," one person wrote.
"Which you can't really help though but I'd wear those in the snow."
"Love them!" another said.
"I'd get my son them, who only wears Crocs or Skechers, but if it's a wet day their feet will be soaked!"
"OMG, I've been having bother with shoes for Dakota - she only wears Crocs, she's the same as Charlie with sensory issues.
"How have I never heard of these?"
"I got my girls the barefoot school shoes," a third added.
"They're the only shoes they'll keep on for more than five minutes... maybe 10!
"Didn't know they did these, will have to get some now."
"Hopefully he will be comfortable and have a happy start to the year. You're a brilliant mummy," someone else praised.
"I have these, I love them!" another commented.

Autumn's most-wanted jacket is already flying off Matalan and Tesco F&F shelves
If you haven't heard of the barn jacket before, you're about to If you've been following early A/W 2025 reports, you'll know the barn jacket is officially the go-to outer layer this season. Now being hailed as fall's standout piece, it's found its way off runways and into TikTok algorithms, where everyone from Scandinavian street style bloggers to savvy high-street shoppers is tagging it as the piece to have as we roll into the new season. Even fashion insiders at Copenhagen Fashion Week were all over them, pairing rugged utility with polished prep in single swipe edits. But the best thing? It's one of the most affordable jacket trends we've seen in years, thanks to the likes of supermarket leaders like F&F and TU creating luxe-looking versions of their own. Now is the time to jump on the trend because plenty of these bargain jackets are already selling out, thanks to TikTok spotlighting the high-street buys as the jackets to buy this August to prepare you for September. If you don't want to be scrolling indefinitely for your size, act now. Here are the best versions you're still able to buy before they vanish. First up, at Matalan, there's the Khaki Utility Barn Jacket, £35. The relaxed-fit jacket reads effortless and smart simultaneously. With structured patch pockets, durable cotton blend and a classic khaki tone, every classic crop-top-and-jeans crowd will need one this season. The utility lean makes it practical, but the sharp cut ensures it still feels editorial. It even slots into utility trend bracket. Next, Tesco's newly-launched F&F version, the Corduroy Collar Utility Jacket in Neutral, £39.50. It's one of the first autumn releases we spotted, and within hours, it was featured across style TikToks and LTK shoppable feeds. The corduroy collar gives it a really luxe twist, while the neutral tone ensures it pairs with everything in your existing wardrobe. There's also the New Look Stone Contrast Collar Midi Barn Jacket, £49.99. This one plays into the midi-length trend perfectly, offering a slightly more polished shape with long, clean lines and a statement contrast collar. It's a grown-up take on the barn jacket and feels elevated enough to accompany midi skirts, tailoring or dramatic 2025 knit sets. Finally, for those who like a touch of streetwear edge, H&M's Cotton Canvas Barn Jacket, £37.99, delivers in khaki with a corduroy collar, but note this version leans more oversized. With front flap pockets and dropped shoulders, it's the perfect contrast to anything minimalist in your wardrobe, giving off casual-cool vibes, layered over hoodies or long-sleeved tees. What makes this trend so wearable- and the reason it's selling so fast- is everyone can pull off a barn jacket. Factor in that these coats fit into early AW25's nostalgia revival (courier chic, utility chic) and it's no surprise they're popping across social feeds and shopping carts. Our advice? Get one while you can!

I've had so many compliments on this sell-out Marks & Spencer lace skirt - here's how to wear the latest version
Daily Mail journalists select and curate the products that feature on our site. If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission - learn more A few skirt trends have caught my eye this season, but often the prettiest looks are not the most practical. Those satin slip skirts with lingerie-like lace trims? Lovely, but a bit clingy if you've ever had a baby/have just eaten a massive lunch. White midi skirts? I love the freshness, but can guarantee I'd have tea or toothpaste on there within five minutes. The lace maxi skirt however - now that is a trend I've got on board with, and I'm very pleased with my purchase. I bought Marks & Spencer's lace tiered maxi skirt earlier this year, and have been wearing it consistently throughout the warmer months, getting compliments from the discerning bunch at You magazine every time. It's clearly not just me that loves the skirt - it sold out quickly from M&S stores and online, much to the disappointment of a tres chic colleague who wanted to buy one too. However, the other day I was browsing the Marks & Spencer website when I came across a very similar style from the brand, the Lace Maxi Tiered Skirt (£50). One thing I really rate about M&S clothing is that a lot of their separates come in different lengths, which is helpful if you are 5 foot 9 like me, and a regular length maxi lands more like mid-calf than near the floor. Lace Maxi Tiered Skirt £50 Shop As well as the length of the skirt, I have also appreciated its versatility. You can dress it up for the office, or go super casual at the weekend with trainers and a tee. My only big warning would be to keep an eye on your footwear - I once wore biker-style buckled sandals with my skirt, and spent the whole day grimacing as hardware caught on lace and threatened to rip the skirt part (thank god to the fashion team at You magazine, who let me borrow some less threatening flats). Here are some of the key ways I've been styling the lace maxi... How to style a lace maxi skirt Outfit 1: Silk shirt and sandals Outfit 2: Oversized bomber and baby tee Outfit 3: Smart cardigan and suede shoes Outfit 4: Fine knit and trainers To get more of what you love from your favourite Sunday supplement, follow us on Instagram (@youmagazine), Facebook (YOU Magazine) and X (@YOUMagSocial).
