Chick-fil-A rivals competitors with new nationwide fall menu MONTHS before season kicks off
Chick-fil-A is approaching the end of summer on a high note with the introduction of Pretzel Cheddar Club Sandwiches. They are one of various brand new offerings coming to stores nationwide as part of the 58-year-old chain's fall menu, which launches on August 18. The sandwiches' launch comes following a successful test run last spring in Raleigh, North Carolina. Available in original, spicy or grilled flavor, the mouthwatering sandwiches are made with lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, bacon and Dijon mustard sauce on a toasted pretzel bun. The restaurant chain's cherry beverages are also coming back with a twist — the inclusion of its all-new Cherry Berry & Sprite. The chain's cherry berry lemonade, frosted lemonade, and sweetened ice tea with lemonade will also make their triumphant return. 'We are always looking for ways to surprise our guests with new and unique menu offerings, and this year's fall lineup presents even more opportunities for Guests to customize and make them their own,' said Allison Duncan, director of menu and packaging for Chick-fil-A. Customers can also munch on new chips starting August 18 — including Chick-fil-A sauce-flavored waffle chips. They will also be available at select retailers this fall. Chick-fil-A's upcoming fall menu comes after the restaurant was named America's favorite fast food chain. The Georgia-based chicken chain came first in a study analyzing customer satisfaction at more than 20 quick-service restaurants. Chick-fil-A scored 83 out of 100 in the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), which takes into account factors such as food quality, order accuracy, and helpfulness of staff. This may have been a surprise to some customers, however, after the chain recently faced backlash for the addition of a new ingredient. Customers were left 'furious' earlier this year after the chain added a controversial new ingredient, pea starch, to its waffle fries. The chain tweaked the recipe in order to make its waffle fries stay crispier longer at its 3,000+ locations. However, loyal fans admitted to missing the 'sogginess' of its original fries and compared them to ones available to purchase at 7-Eleven. Americans are still lining up to order a Chick-fil-A sandwich, despite it being named one of the nation's unhealthiest fast food restaurants. Chick-fil-A will be launching new chips nationwide at its restaurants before releasing them at select retailers Its scrumptious original chicken sandwich and medium waffle fries were found to have had a combined total of 750mg of sodium — about one-third of a day's limit — along with 800 calories. However, the company is not letting the dent in its wholesome image stop it from working on plans to open new restaurants in Canada, the UK and Puerto Rico. Despite Chick-fil-A starting up its fall offerings early, other chains are opting to keep their autumn menus under wraps and keep their summer celebrations going. Jimmy John's has been celebrating the summertime with actor Walton Goggins and a menu with four new sandwiches. The chain also debuted Lemon Sunshine Cookies, which are available for the rest of the season. Dunkin' is still offering an abundance of items off its summer menu. Customers can also snag a limited-time Sabrina Strawberry Daydream Refresher — made in collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter. Other chains celebrating summer all season long with limited-time menu items include Starbucks, Sonic and Jersey Mike's.

Walmart shoppers confused by hostile new sign from store's manager: 'Biggest red flag'
Shoppers are unsure what to make of a sign urging Walmart workers to speak with a manager before quitting their jobs. A Kansas-based employee shared the sign in a Reddit post — telling his co-workers to 'Stop! Don't Leave!' their jobs. Potentially posted by the store manager, the sign reads that the location believes in a 'no-quit philosophy', but shoppers who saw the sign said it would make them want to leave if they were employed by Walmart. 'I think this beats out the "we are a family here" as biggest red flag,' a shopper wrote on the Reddit post. 'If I was a new hire and saw that I would immediately be looking for a new job,' a shopper responded. 'This is giving "toxic abusive narcissistic partner refuses to accept the fact that you are breaking up with them,"' another person commented. Walmart has been the target of fierce backlash for decisions that affect customers — including the addition of new AI technology and the increasing usage of electronic shelf labels. Company employees have called out the chain for its avalanche of price hikes resulting from tariffs — but they're also speaking up about what they claim are their negative work environments. 'I once had a coach who told my department during a huddle that everyone was replaceable. I think in their mind they were trying to be motivating. 'But that had the opposite effect on me,' an employee admitted on Reddit. 'I do my job to the best of my ability everyday and still get yelled at because metrics are terrible. They are more concerned about metrics than listening to their associates on the floor.' 'My store manager was the specific reason that I left. The guy straight up told me he had me passed up on a promotion because of his personal opinion of me. This is hilarious at best,' a worker added. 'I was begged to not quit on the spot once too. I walked tf out anyway. QUIT! Or better yet, unionize!,' another commenter responded. Others claimed they left Walmart on good terms — believing their decision to quit was 'one of the best' of their lives. 'Walmart is a great way to work during HS/College, retiring, or a second job, temporarily, but for it to be your career the chances of getting somewhere are very slim,' a former employee claimed. Others said, however, that managers 'didn't try and stop them' from walking out, and a few ex-employees revealed their managers helped them rewrite their resumes. Reddit users slammed the retailer for the sign Besides issues with rising costs and technology changes, consumers have also not been able to stay silent on store upgrades — including the placement of 'ridiculous' products in plexiglass cases. The changes came after the retailer became a prime target for shoplifters. Despite this, the company has worked to make sure it maintains customer satisfaction, doing things like revamping 650 locations and entering a partnership with Medicare Advantage. Walmart's actions have helped the company's revenue continue to exceed expectations — but after the company axed about 1,500 US jobs, some employees have been fearful of the future.
