Forgotten Real Madrid star agrees to transfer
That's according to journalist Ben Fernandes Santos, who points towards Reinier Jesus as the player in question.
Reinier, for his part, has spent the last five years out on loan away from Spain's capital.
After being brought in all the way back in 2020 from his home country of Brazil with lofty expectations on his shoulders, it is safe to say that the 23-year-old has since failed to live up to the hype.
In fact, Reinier is yet to take to take to the pitch at senior level in Real Madrid's colours on even a solitary occasion.
This past season, the attacking midfielder plied his trade in Spain's 2nd division, with Granada.
After the parties went their separate ways following the expiration of his loan terms, however, Reinier now finds himself in a familiar situation, back in Madrid with no part to play.
All associated with Los Blancos, in turn, will no doubt be delighted to hear of the latest word to have surfaced regarding his immediate future.
As per a report from the aforementioned Ben Fernandes Santos:
'Reinier Jesús is leaving for Atlético Mineiro. After 5 years at Real Madrid, the Brazilian is departing from Valdebebas without having played an official match with the first white team.'

One Real Madrid star has left coaching staff ‘amazed' with pre-season form
The coaching staff at La Liga giants Real Madrid have been left taken aback by the excellence of a member of the club's midfield ranks in pre-season training. That's according to journalist Rubén Martín of Diario AS, who points towards Arda Güler as the player in question. Youngster Güler is for his part currently in the midst of preparations for what is expected to be a major uptick in prominence in Spain's capital this coming season. After struggling for regular starts under the watch of Carlo Ancelotti over the last two years, the Turk has since gained the full confidence of new manager Xabi Alonso. As much was made clear during this summer's Club World Cup, when Güler acted as a pillar in Real Madrid's midfield. And as alluded to above, the significance of his improved role has evidently not been lost on the 20-year-old himself. This comes amid confirmation on the part of Rubén Martín that: 'Arda's work during the holidays has been tremendous. In the first pre-season training sessions, his physical level has been quickly noticeable. The coaching staff is amazed by his attitude. He is one of the players who have stood out the most upon returning to work.' Conor Laird – GSFN
