Man in Ludhiana booked for blackmailing, raping woman for 4 years.

Ludhiana: The police have booked a man for blackmailing and raping a woman for about four years. It is alleged that the accused took lewd videos of the woman after intoxicating her and later blackmailed her by threatening to circulate them on social media.
The 24-year-old complainant said she met the accused four years ago, who lives in their locality, and befriended him. She alleged that the accused called her to meet him in a room, where he offered her a cold drink laced with sedatives. After she lost consciousness, the accused raped her and recorded lewd videos of her.
The woman further alleged that later the accused started blackmailing her and forced her to establish physical relations.
When she objected, the accused threatened to make her videos viral on social networking sites.
Lately, the woman shared her ordeal with her family and later lodged a complaint with the police against the accused on July 15.
Inspector Rajinderpal Singh, the investigating officer in the case, stated that an FIR under sections 376 (rape) of the IPC and section 67(A) of the Information and Technology Act had been lodged against the accused. A hunt is on to arrest him.
