The Review Geek26-07-2025
Jung-man
Episode 8 of Trigger starts where we left off with the police operation to arrest Jung-man and Jung-man's counter-operation to take over Seok-ho's business. Mr. Kim arrives at the club to meet with Seok-ho, and the police storm in after him.
At the bathhouse, Jung-man's men butcher all of Seok-ho's men. At the clubhouse, Mr. Kim and Seok-ho kill each other. Jung-man then takes his men to clear out Seok-ho's stack house, taking all the money. Jung-man knew that Seok-ho had sold him out to the police.
Lee Do receives an update that Jung-man did not appear at the club. He sees Jung-man arrive back at the hideout with his boys. Jung-man takes the money upstairs to the waiting crew, and they are overjoyed that their plan worked.
However, their joy is short-lived as Lee Do raids their hideout. Jung-man tries to escape, but Lee Do uses his sniper skills to stop his car and incapacitate him. The police take Jung-man and the boys into custody and seize all the guns in their possession.
With the guns seized from Jung-man, the police report that they have arrested the organisation responsible for distributing the guns, giving them an advantage with the public. Moon-baek is dejected, and Jack is furious.
The number of guns seized by the police will lead to an investigation and a high likelihood of the CIA getting involved. As such, their operations will be jeopardised. Jack orders Moon-baek to wrap up the operations in South Korea and head back home.
In a turn of events, Hyun-sik's daughter takes her life. She was roped into a scam that made her lose all her money, including the money she had borrowed from Hyun-sik's pension.
Elsewhere, the National Security Council receives more information on the organisation behind the guns from the CIA. The International Rifle Union is a major player in the black market and is involved in the sales and distribution of guns.
The organisation is backed by powerful politicians and global corporations, giving it immense power. The person in charge of overseeing the weapons distribution in South Korea is Blue-Brown, aka Moon-baek.
Meanwhile, Moon-baek listens in as the nurses continue to harass one of them. She had been working at the hospital for a week without breaks, and when she wanted to go home for a change of clothes, the nurses told her to wash the ones she had on and get back to the nurse's station.
Later, Moon-baek meets up with Reporter Wang. Moon-baek pays him a lot of money to make sure that he captures when people use his guns. He intends to use the videos to appeal to people's fear and emotions, making every Korean citizen interested in owning a gun.
Meanwhile, Lee Do realises that the guns distributed have a tracking device. He takes the device to his army friend and learns that the tracking device is capable of wiretapping. However, the device alone cannot listen in on conversations because it needs an assistive device.
Lee Do heads back to the station and looks through all the guns for the assistive device, but only finds the GPS. He gets a call from Detective Seo and learns that another common occurrence among all the people who had guns was that their phones were hacked.
Lee Do arrives at the NSU for a briefing and learns that whenever the IRU wants to venture into a new area, they start by leaving bullets to indicate their intention. In this case, the first victim did not take his own life but was killed by Moon-baek. He is the one who trafficked Moon-baek as a child, and the NSU believes that Moon-baek is back to take revenge on the country that abandoned him.
While still at the base of the joint investigation, Lee Do receives a call from Moon-baek. Moon-baek has hacked into the system using a gun sneaked in by one of the employees. Moon-baek tells Lee Do that another citizen is about to use a gun.
He shows him footage of Hyun-sik, who gets out of his car with a gun in hand and walks into a club. Moon-baek challenges Lee Do to try to save him. While Lee Do rushes to get to Hyun-sik, the investigation team reverse engineers the chip from the guns to get Moon-baek's location.
While Hyun-sik goes down the warpath and attacks the men responsible for scamming his daughter, Lee Do rushes to his location, hoping to stop him. The other detectives follow the location of the GPS, hoping to arrest Moon-baek, but he has already anticipated this move.
The Episode Review
With two more episodes to go, we are narrowing down the subplots and focusing on the main plot. The police are now aware of the organisation behind the gun distribution and Moon-baek's motive. He wants to destroy the country that destroyed him by using the weak to take down their bullies and establish a new world order. The next episodes will showcase the showdown between the protagonist, Lee Do and his team versus the bad guys. Who will come out on top?
By using Hyung-sik, Moon-baek is making this chase more personal for Lee Do. He is bringing the shooting cases close to home. Hyung-sik is Lee Do's father figure. If he doesn't get to him in time, his loss will be immense.

Shocking identity of victim filmed being beaten up by psycho at Disney World in front of screaming children

A shocking link has emerged between the woman punched in the face at Disney World in front of horrified families and her attacker. Matthew Edward Cameron, 22, was arrested at the Magic Kingdom theme park in Orlando at 9.40pm on October 19 last year, after he allegedly attacked a woman during a visit to 'The Most Magical Place on Earth'. Chaotic video, obtained by the Daily Mail, showed the aftermath of the wild incident at Casey's Corner - a crowded spot with a hot dog stand. Now, a police incident report shared with the Daily Mail has revealed Cameron had allegedly attacked his own mother Diane Marie Cameron, 56, during an argument. 'Diane said Matthew suddenly became upset with her and pushed the left side of her face away from him before he then punched her in the left side of her face, knocking her to the ground and giving her a bloody nose,' Officer Dominic Gonzalez, with the Orange County Sheriff's Department, wrote. At the time, Cameron, from Burlington, Massachusetts, was arrested and charged with domestic battery. But prosecutors suddenly dropped the charges at a court hearing on January 14. It is unclear why. Cameron was on vacation at Disney World with his mom Diane and sister Sarah at the time. Eyewitness Michael Williams was standing nearby with his family when the incident unfolded. He told police he saw Cameron punch his mother and so he tackled him and held him on the ground. Another witness, Matthew Remark, told police he also saw the attack and assisted Williams in restraining Cameron. Officers arrived on the scene minutes later to find Diane with a bloody nose and red marks on her face. Cameron admitted to the assault under questioning after waiving his right to silence, police said. 'Matthew advised he punched Diane when he became frustrated after having an argument with her,' the police report said. 'Matthew advised he was not thinking when he punched Diane and simply did it out of frustration.' Diane told police her son 'has suffered from severe schizophrenia for several years and sometimes experiences severe hallucinations'. She said Cameron had hit her a few times in the past during some of those hallucinations. The police report did not say whether or not Cameron might have been hallucinating during the incident at Disney World. In the video, shot moments after the attack, Cameron's mom Diane and sister Sarah were seen standing a few feet away from Cameron, looking distressed and holding tissues to their noses. 'Both women had bloody noses and were crying. I saw two small children crying and led away by a Disney cast member,' the man who shot the video told the Daily Mail. Cameron was lying on the ground being restrained by Williams and Remark, while witnesses were seen telling staff what had just happened. One of the men was seen kneeling on Cameron's back until a security guard arrived. The guard and Disney World staff surrounded Cameron and led him away. The man who filmed the video, who asked not to be named, said a sheriff's deputy arrived a minute or so after he stopped filming. He said a 'swarm' of staff tried to shield onlookers from the chaos and 'kind of built a wall in front of the incident'. 'My family and I visit Disney parks generally every weekend. This was a rare occurrence at Disney, for sure,' he said. The man said he has noticed a ramping up of security across Disney venues recently, particularly at parking garages for the free Disney Springs shopping precinct. 'In the past, we may have walked by a Disney security officer with a sniffing dog, but not all garages had a checkpoint with metal detectors,' he said. 'Now I believe all entrances to Disney Springs have an official security checkpoint.' Cameron's family appear to be regular visitors to Disney World. His father Edward, Diane, and Sarah have all shared photos of each other on previous trips to the theme park.

Major football supporters' group condemn plans by police to use invisible DNA tagging spray to mark hooligans in bid to trace offenders

Plans by police to use an invisible 'tagging spray' on football fans have been slated by the country's major supporters group. Cheshire Police have announced that, from this season, officers will be equipped with SelectaDNA sprays at League One matches in the county. The spray cannot be seen, but those targeted will have their clothing or skin marked with a uniquely-coded DNA solution that would show up under UV light months later. The force says that, from Saturdays Crewe Alexandra versus Accrington Stanley match, officers will be able to use the spray on troublemakers, in an attempt to identify them. They hope the new addition will deter hooligans from engaging in anti-social behaviour around matches in pubs and city centres, given the prospect that they could subsequently be linked to the scene. Shops and businesses will also receive the spray, which it is hoped will deter burglars and shoplifters. However, the Football Supporters' Association (FSA) have been quick to condemn the move, which was announced on Wednesday. 'We have serious concerns about police forces deploying largely unproven technologies against matchgoing fans,' a spokesperson said. 'Misuse or inconsiderate deployment of DNA spray by officers could see innocent bystanders caught up in criminal justice procedures in which they have no reason to be entangled. 'The arrest stats continue to show that football is an overwhelmingly safe activity – with just 5.5 arrests per 100,000 spectators last year. So we have to ask: is this necessary and is this proportionate? 'What is particularly disappointing to us – at a time when Government has legislated to ensure fans have a voice in the game – is the total absence of consultation by the police.' Mark Roberts, Cheshire's chief constable football policing lead in England, has hailed the spray's introduction. 'We know that the vast majority of football fans are law abiding, but unfortunately on occasions there are some who are intent on causing disorder, which is why a strong policing operation is essential,' he said. 'I'm confident that this new tool will make a real difference, by helping to identify and deter the criminals who attend football matches here in Cheshire.'

King to mark 80th anniversary of VJ Day with address to the nation

Charles' pre-recorded audio message will be broadcast on VJ Day ahead of a service of remembrance attended by the King and Queen, Second World War veterans and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. VJ Day on August 15 marks the anniversary of Japan's surrender to the Allies following the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, effectively ending the Second World War. The service, broadcast live by the BBC, will pay tribute to all those who served in the Asia-Pacific theatre, including Burma Star recipients, British Indian Army veterans, former prisoners of war, and those who fought in pivotal battles including Kohima and Imphal in India. The event, hosted by the Royal British Legion in partnership with the Government, will see the King and his wife leave floral tributes, as will other senior figures. A national two-minutes silence will conclude with an aerial display by the Red Arrows and the service will draw to a close with a flypast by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, before the King and Queen attend a reception with Second World War veterans. While Charles and Camilla are at the National Memorial Arboretum event, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh will attend a service at the Scottish National War Memorial at Edinburgh Castle, organised by the Royal British Legion Scotland. Elsewhere, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester will join the congregation at the Far East Prisoners of War VJ Day 80th Anniversary Service at Norwich Cathedral, before attending a second commemorative service dedicated to the Children and Families of the Far East Prisoners of War in Suffolk. Ahead of VJ Day, Sophie will meet Second World War veteran Jim Wren, who was serving on HMS Repulse when he was captured and held on the Indonesian island of Sumatra until the end of the war. Events to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VJ Day will conclude with a reception for veterans at Windsor Castle later in the autumn.
