In a move that's sparking both political backlash and fan praise, Taylor Swift reportedly declined a major request from the Kamala Harris 2024 presidential campaign—while gladly stepping up to perform for her boyfriend Travis Kelce at his Tight End University event.
According to revelations from the book 2024: How Trump Retook the White House and the Democrats Lost America, the pop star was personally approached by Harris's husband, Doug Emhoff, to perform in support of the Harris-Tim Walz ticket during the election season. But despite Emhoff's personal connection—he's reportedly friends with Swift's longtime lawyer, Doug Baldridge—the superstar turned it down.
