The awards are the world's only major spirits competition judged exclusively by consumers, where the spirits are evaluated through double-blind tastings by over 300 everyday drinkers. The awards received over 1,200 entries from over 60 countries, and Cherrapunji Gin was among the less than 2% of spirits that achieved the coveted Double Gold, scoring a place in the top tier of global craft spirits. 'This award is especially meaningful because it comes directly from the people who enjoy spirits in real life,' said Mayukh Hazarika, founder of Raincheck Earth Co., the company behind Cherrapunji Gin.
