'Perfect for festival' Amazon tent reduced in time for Glastonbury
Amazon shoppers are flocking to buy a tent that's 'perfect' for festivals in the run-up to Glastonbury. The Amazon Basics Dome Camping Tent would usually be £56.99 but has dropped down to £39.99 in a limited time deal.
Glastonbury kicks off this coming Wednesday, June 25, and for festival-goers who are yet to source their camp set-up, Amazon's next-day delivery could be a last-minute solution. The tent is water resistant with inverted seams to prevent rain from getting through.
It's described as easy to put up and take down, a must for many in festival environments. It comes in a few sizes, starting with a spacious two-man tent. For those looking for something a little more spacious, the Eurohike Sendero 4 Family Tent is currently reduced from £300 to £104 with room for four people to sleep as well as having space for bags.
Halfords also has a massive eight person tent, but at £185 it's not the most budget-friendly option on the market.
The Amazon Basics tent has brought in over 2000 five-star ratings on the shopping giant. One shopper was thrilled with how easy it was to put together, and said: "This was so quick and easy to put up and take down, and it all fit back in the very compact bag without too much of a struggle.
"In our case, it was, literally, child's work, as the 12-year olds put it up and took it down themselves, only needed help when folding it back up in the right shape to fit in the bag. (The bag is a rectangle with two handles, which is not suitable for carrying long distances.)
"Four youngsters fit comfortably inside, four fully grown adults would be ok if the gear is left elsewhere. We were lucky with the weather, so we can't assess the water tightness, though it looks like it would do fine if properly assembled.
"It can get hot inside in the sun, but the open mesh all around helps a lot with ventilation, and the waterproof rainfly is completely removable for complete air circulation. Good quality for money, surpassed expectations, and super quick delivery."
Another was thrilled, saying: "I took this tent to the Download Festival 2022 for 5 nights camping. It was easy to put up (I had a practice run at home to make sure it was ok) and was pretty easy to pack up.
"The groundsheet of the tent seemed a little thin, but no tears on this occasion. Double layer means you don't have to worry about ingress of water, which was great.
"Yes, I was happy with this, surprised I didn't see another one there. The value was great."
It is worth noting that some shoppers were disappointed by the insulation in the tent, with one writing: "Great cheap tent but not for any Cold nights, I used this in summer when it was 10 degrees at night and not windy and we were freezing.
"Two of the side panels are mesh, so very breezy - great for a hot summer night but wouldn't advise using beyond that. If you're looking for a cheap tent for camping with friends and nothing heavy duty, then this is perfect."
It does seem that those who have bought the tent with a festival in mind have been quite impressed, another shopper said: " Perfect for camping/festivals / beach, etc comes with a storage bag to store the tent in after use.
"The tent has plenty of ventilation options to help prevent it from getting to warm inside so allowing you to easily create a comfortable environment inside. Overall, a very well-made four-person tent which is generous inside, provides more than enough protection against most of the elements, easy to put up and great value for money suitable for all kinds of outdoor activities."
The Amazon Basics Dome Camping Tent with Rainfly and Carry Bag is now available for £39.99.

Take the stress out of planning a hen do with just four special AI prompts
With all of our social media feeds filled with weddings and, of course, elaborate hen do's, the pressure is on for bridesmaids to plan the perfect party. But can ChatGPT's new feature help? Wedding season is well underway and were successfully kickstarted by Charli XCX'S Hackney celebrations and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos' controversial Venetian nuptials. But no matter how high-status the celebration, one of the most stressful aspects remains the same: planning the hen do. If you've been lucky enough to be bestowed the title of Maid of Honour or bridesmaid, you have also likely found yourself straddled with planning the hen party. Even if the likes of Kris Jenner aren't on the guest list, as she was for Lauren Sanchez's Paris bachelorette, feeling the need to impress can be a tall order. The hen do is typically meant to celebrate the last night of singledom and an opportunity to strengthen the bonds between close friends. But how do you get the balance right? Planning around a wedding can get complicated quickly and lead to unfortunate mistakes. Luckily, an AI spokesperson has revealed how you can use a new ChatGPT feature to plan your hen do, which can help allow plans to run smoothly. It comes after a woman travels 8 hours for wedding only to be told to leave for not reading invite 'small print'. ChatGPT's new feature, Chat GPT Agent, can conduct in-depth research, fill out online forms and even create spreadsheets. It can even book your flights. Though, it's important to note that it will always ask for verification before making purchases or handing over personal information. The feature is currently available to users on ChatGPT Pro, Plus, and Team plans. So, how can you use it to plan a hen party? Ask Chat GPT where to stay One of the most crucial parts of the hen do is, of course, the location. While destination hen do's are popular, it can be hard to know exactly where to go. Fortunately, Chat GPT Agent can factor in the number of guests and the flight time to find your perfect spot. An OpenAI spokesperson suggests the prompt: 'Plan a laid-back but unforgettable hen do for 15 people within a two hour flight from London. We're after a private villa that feels stylish and special - think sea views, sunrise yoga sessions, and a chef to cook up a delicious dinner. The vibe should be relaxed, more sunset cocktails than wild nights out.' Of course, another aspect that makes planning so difficult is navigating everyone's budget. You can round off the prompt: 'The budget is £700 per person for three days in September. Share the best options using a UK booking site with availability, total costs in GBP, and highlight any extras that would make it feel special for the bride to be.' Ask Chat GPT to plan your itinerary So, you've arrived at your perfect hen do spot, so now what? No matter where you are, ChatGPT Agent allows you to specify what kind of itinerary you would like in detail – from vibes to budget. For more stories like this subscribe to our weekly newsletter, The Weekly Gulp, for a curated roundup of trending stories, poignant interviews, and viral lifestyle picks from The Mirror's Audience U35 team delivered straight to your inbox. For example, an OpenAI spokesperson recommends: 'Plan a day out in London for 20 people that includes a relaxed, chic lunch in Soho, followed by a fun activity nearby and then a night out. We will also want decorations – but nothing too cringe. The activity should be laid back but fun. For the night out we are happy to have a private room in a pub, but there must be a speaker and a screen. The cost should be divided equally between 19 people and not cost over £150 per person.' Ask Chat GPT to organise your luggage You can even use ChatGPT's Vision feature to help you pack as much into your case as possible. Simply take a picture of the items you plan to pack and ask ChatGPT to arrange it for you. An OpenAI spokesperson recommends writing: 'Here's a photo of what I'm planning to pack for a hen do trip to Paris this weekend including clothes, toiletries, shoes, accessories, and my cabin-size suitcase. Can you help me arrange everything so it will fit more efficiently, and let me know if I've overpacked or forgotten anything? Prioritise space for dresses and comfortable shoes for walking.' Ask Chat GPT to pick your outfits Whether you're planning to dress as a cowgirl or a teletubby, ChatGPT's Vision feature can also help you realise your theme. A spokesperson for OpenAI suggests: ' Here's some photos of the Cowgirl theme I want to emulate for my friend's hen do. Can you send me ideas of accessories and decorations to purchase, and send relevant links from UK sites? I want the bride to have different accessories to the rest of the group, and for decorations this should include personalised menus that would arrive to my London address by 15th August'. Love Island star Zara McDermott and Louis Tomlinson took their relationship to the next level by going Instagram official this evening after sparking up a romance earlier this year Zara McDermott and Louis Tomlinson took their relationship to the next level and shared a sweet snap of them sharing a kiss on social media. The Love Island star and the One Direction singer have been dating for several months, but have been keeping their romance away from social media besides a few comments and likes. She was previously spotted singing along at her boyfriend's concert as the 28-year-old went to support her 33-year-old partner at his show in Zurich last month. The sighting comes not long after the loved-up couple were seen having fun together at this year's Glastonbury Festival. And now, Zara took to her Instagram page to share a selfie she took of the two sharing a kiss. In the snap, seemingly taken on holiday, Zara smiled as she held his cheek and gave him a kiss. Louis looked happy as he held the camera. It comes after Taylor Swift sparks engagement rumours as fans spot Travis Kelce's lock screen. Friends and fans were delighted with the social media milestone and rushed to share their happiness for the couple. "Yaaaay," Strictly Come Dancing's Tasha Ghouri wrote. Ellie Louise Leach added: "Soooooo here for this," and another posted: "Love seeing you glowing and happy." One fan joked: "I'm so happy that my boyfriend has a girlfriend." The couple first started romance rumours earlier in the year after being photographed on a cosy date in Suffolk. The moment in March came just a short time after Zara's split from her long-term boyfriend, Sam Thompson. Sam and Zara called time on their relationship for good in December 2024. They had initially met in 2019 after she shot to fame on Love Island. They took a break but soon got back together and seemed to be hopelessly in love until it was announced they went their separate ways after five years together. Despite Zara being in a new relationship, it's been said that Sam isn't so keen to date again. At one point, he dated Samie Elishi but they soon called time on their brief romance. After their split, he was spotted back on celebrity dating app Raya. He later made the decision to stay single for some time. Speaking on his Staying Relevant podcast, Sam said: "I'm going to work on myself. No dating, I'm not ready and I've realised that."
