Mobile courts for Divyangjans resolve 677 complaints in 9 dists
The State Commissioner's office has received a total of 594 complaints, comprising 503 complaints in 2024-25 and 91 complaints so far in 2025-26. Of these, 58 complaints have been resolved, while 33 are currently being processed.
These courts were held in Meerut, Sultanpur, Amethi, Ayodhya, Barabanki, Shravasti, Gonda, Bahraich and Balrampur. "During these sessions, authorities listen to grievances directly in the local areas and issue immediate instructions to concerned departments for resolution.
This initiative has spared many Divyangjans the hassle of repeatedly visiting govt offices," said a govt spokesperson.
The govt has made appointments to these courts under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act. These include a state commissioner for people with disabilities. All district magistrates have been designated as additional commissioners, while district empowerment officers for the disabled serve as assistant commissioners.

According to data from the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities up to May 2025, a total of 2,699 complaints were received through the CM Helpline, online portals, PGI portal, and directly by the CM, out of which 2,660 were resolved. "Only 39 complaints remain pending, but none of them have crossed the deadline set by the govt for resolution of such cases," the spokesperson added.
He said that out of the 212 complaints forwarded by the CM office, 206 were resolved. Another 394 complaints out of 404 received on the PG Portal were resolved, along with 229 out of 233 complaints received on online portals and 1,831 out of 1,850 received on the CM Helpline.

The CM said no previous govts had done what the incumbent Congress govt did against the drugs menace. Within three months after the formation of the Congress govt, provisions of the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act were invoked for the first time in the state, Sukhu highlighted. Illegally acquired properties of drug-traffickers worth Rs 43 crore were seized and directions have already been issued for the mapping of all 3,575 panchayats across the hill state, he added. The disruption, which a senior lawmaker described as a 'wake-up call' for Moscow. Over 40 flights, predominantly domestic but also including routes to Minsk and Yerevan, were cancelled, with at least 10 more experiencing delays. Yogi reviews preparations for Modi's Aug 2visit; reminds of likely rain, suggests tweaks
Varanasi: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to his parliamentary constituency on Aug 2, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday took stock of preparations at the PM's proposed public meeting site in the Banoli area of Kalikadham locality in Sevapuri assembly constituency of Varanasi. He asked officials to ensure foolproof security and all basic facilities for people attending it, while also suggesting them to keep in mind the possibility of rain, and make necessary changes accordingly. Proper facilities for drinking water and toilets should be ensured at the venue, the CM said while suggesting a cleanliness campaign to be conducted in the Varuna river, and prohibiting the use of single-use plastic there. He stated that since the PM's visit is taking place during Shrawan, it is the collective responsibility of all to organise the programme in an orderly and successful manner.
