Speaking about Aamir's second wife, Kiran Rao, Faissal admitted they had little to no interaction.
'Kiran and I... we had never spoken. I don't know her that well. I never spent time and interacted with her, so I can't comment,' he said. He explained that before their marriage in 2005, Kiran had been living with Aamir for about two years, but their busy schedules after marriage, and his own focus on writing by 2006, meant they never had the time to connect.

'I've met Gauri, but only like 2–3 times. Not much. I met her first on my last birthday, not this year's. Aamir had known her for years before that, but that was the first time I met her,' he said, adding that he doesn't know much about her either.
