Leave it to Travis Kelce and Paul Rudd to bring the entertainment.
Appearing this weekend at the 16th annual Big Slick Celebrity Weekend at Children's Mercy Hospital, the two had a fun moment on stage as the NFL star lifted the Ant-Man actor in the air unexpectedly as he was talking to the crowd. Fortunately, photographers caught the candid (and wacky) moment on camera.Jokes and laughter aside, the event was one for a good cause. First established in 2010, when Kansas City native Rob Riggle called upon Rudd and Jason Sudeikis to form a poker tournament as a way to raise money for the hospital, the weekend has since transformed into a multi-million-dollar fundraising event, bringing in $4.5 million this year alone.
"Every dollar raised goes directly to Children's Mercy to advance Big Slick's goal of eradicating pediatric cancer," reads the mission statement on their website. Other celebrities in attendance included Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs teammate, Patrick Mahomes, Heidi Gardner, Fortune Feimster and more.
Kelce has been enjoying what's left of his offseason before he returns to training camp, and accidentally spilled the beans back in May that his superstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift, might be living with him. During the May 14 episode of his New Heights podcast, he spoke a bit about the $20 million Boca Raton property he's been renting."We've got chimneys and we've got furniture," Kelce explained to guest stars Andrew Whitworth and Ryan Fitzpatrick, further adding, "It was an executive decision by myself for the betterment of everyone, yes," when asked by Fitzpatrick if he is the one making the decorative decisions around the house.
Meanwhile, Swift was spotted over the weekend with bestie Selena Gomez wearing a diamond tennis friendship bracelet with the words "TNT" as a tribute to Kelce as the two dined together in New York City.

The Good Life: The Closet of Our Dreams Actually Belongs to Sarah Jessica Parker

Carrie Bradshaw's closet never goes out of style and it also hasn't left the hands, or the hangers, of Sarah Jessica Parker. SJP actually owns Carrie's entire closet, it's written into her contract (*screams in Carrie*). That's how the And Just Like That team is able to fill her closet with all the iconic pieces we know and love. "Well I have all of it, I've kept her archive since the very beginning. I have all of Carrie's outfits since the pilot," Parker said in a recent interview with Wonderland Magazine. "So I don't need to steal anything, cause I have it all!" Season 3 of AJLT is finally out and before we get into the goods, what did you think about that "cloud" hat? It's all over social and if you've been with the show for a while, it probably wasn't a huge surprise. Parker chose it herself and hoped that executive producer Michael Patrick King would be on board with the idea. "I've learned over the years that sometimes logic is not as good as a hat. It makes people say, 'I love it. I hate it. Oh, my God, what was she thinking?' King told USA Today. This season, SJP said her favorite pieces were found from London, including flea markets, vintage shops and private closets. "Tons of like turn of the century stuff and Victorian-era stuff and that stuff is incredible," Parker told Wonderland. Her fashion is impeccable as always, but what's going on in Carrie's life this season? Here's one take from my colleague, Lydia Patrick. Respondants to a YouGov Poll believe that Parker's character Carrie Bradshaw, would vote for Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. More zz/XNY/STAR MAX/IPx/STRMX, Associated Press By Lydia Patrick Love her or loathe her, Carrie Bradshaw knows how to make an entrance. Sarah Jessica Parker stutters back onto our screens for the latest series of And Just Like That... sporting a princess-like, nude sheer Simone Rocha dress, roses stuffed into her pockets, paired with a matching jacket, as she signs off a blank postcard to Aidan. Surprisingly, for a writer, she omits all words—just a heart scribbled at the bottom. Why? Because they have agreed to five years (yes, years!) of no-contact as Aidan resides in Virginia to raise his troubled son, who got into a drink-driving incident. This is very on-brand for the healthiest couple of all time, who reunited in season 2 of AJLT after a lifetime of emotional turbulence due to Carrie's infidelity and a called-off engagement in the original show Sex And The City. For them, "no contact" means exchanging blank post-cards, with a smattering of awkward phone sex. Who said romance was dead? American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines have added new fare rules that in some cases require passengers to book at least two tickets to access the cheapest fares. That means solo travelers could end up paying as much as 70 percent more for the same flight. The rationale, according to airline analysts, is straightforward: solo travelers are more likely to be business travelers, who typically book flights with less concern about cost due to corporate budgets. Airlines are using fare rules to target those perceived as less price-sensitive. "It's just another way for airlines to continue segmenting their customers," Thrifty Traveler's Potter explained. A new study points to a simple answer: your diet. Researchers found that sticking to the MIND diet—a hybrid of the Mediterranean and DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diets—were significantly less likely to develop Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. "Our study findings confirm that healthy dietary patterns in mid-to-late life and their improvement over time may prevent Alzheimer's and related dementias," said paper author professor Song-Yi Park of the University of Hawaii at Manoa. "This suggests that it is never too late to adopt a healthy diet to prevent dementia." Read more from Newsweek's Lucy Notarantonio. Four quick picks: Show your work ethic, with a tattoo? Vikings' Justin Jefferson Sends Clear Message to JJ McCarthy

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Minnesota Vikings are set to begin a new era of football in 2025. J.J. McCarthy is taking over as the team's new franchise quarterback. When McCarthy was drafted with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, it was clear that the Vikings were going to make him their future. Now, he'll have a chance to prove them right. During the offseason, Sam Darnold chose to leave town to sign with the Seattle Seahawks on a three-year, $100.5 million contract. Rumors surrounding Aaron Rodgers as a possible option for Minnesota, but the team chose to pass on the future Hall of Famer in favor of McCarthy. Photo byMcCarthy will have a leg up on most young quarterback. He will have arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL as his top target. Read more: Vikings Receive Another Head-Turning Aaron Rodgers Update Justin Jefferson is an absolute menace at the wide receiver position. He was a big part of Darnold's breakout season last year and will be a big part of helping McCarthy get off to a fast start to begin his professional career as a starter. Ahead of the 2025 season, Jefferson has spoken out with a clear message of advice to his young quarterback. "Just throw it up anywhere and I'm going to go get it," Jefferson said bluntly. That was good advice last season. Jefferson played in all 17 regular season games in 2024, catching 103 passes for 1,533 yards and 10 touchdowns. Once again, he was almost unstoppable. As for McCarthy, the 22-year-old quarterback missed the entire season due to a knee injury that he suffered during the preseason. He missed out on valuable reps throughout the year, but he focused on learning mentally. There is no denying the confidence that he brings into his second NFL season. Read more: Peyton Manning Doesn't Hold Back About Bengals QB Joe Burrow With Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Aaron Jones, Jordan Mason, TJ Hockenson, and the rest of the offense around him, McCarthy has been set up for success. It will be interesting to see if he is able to come out strong and keep the Vikings looking like a Super Bowl contender. Last season, Minnesota finished the year with a 14-3 record under Darnold. That is a high goal for McCarthy, but the talent is in place for the Vikings to push for the same kind of success. For more Minnesota Vikings and NFL news, head over to Newsweek Sports.
