If you're anything like us, you spent half the day yesterday accumulating Easter eggs and submitting your final thesis. Our subject? Why we suspected—correctly—that Taylor Swift was about to announce her twelfth studio album. Last night, in the teasers for her boyfriend Travis Kelce's podcast (the full interview airs on August 13th at 7 PM EST), the Eras tour icon announced that we are getting a new album–The Life of a Showgirl. But eagle-eyed fans were trained on more than just Swift's adorable demeanor with Kelce. We're looking at her lipstick, trying to suss out exactly what shade she's wearing. And Swifties, I think we might have found it.
Known for her matte red lip (it's usually Pat McGrath's LiquiLUST Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick in the shade Elson 4), in the clips from the New Heights podcast, she's wearing an orangey, peachy matte lip instead. There are a few contenders for the most likely options, but if past looks are any indicator, there's a very strong chance that she's wearing NARS Morocco Lipstick, which is currently in stock and on sale for 30 percent off. Swift's makeup artist, Lorrie Turk, took to Instagram last October to say that Swift has worn this exact shade 'for years.' While Turk has yet to confirm or deny that this was the shade the singer wore on the podcast, Team ELLE is pretty certain.
Because of her ability to sell out pretty much anything, it's pretty unusual for both her peachy NARS lipstick and bold-red Pat McGrath matte lip to be in stock at the same time. But clearly the Swiftie Gods are on our side this week, so don't wait another second before picking up her go-to lipsticks.

Fans Think Taylor Swift's New Era Was Heavily Inspired by This Beloved 2024 Movie

As the whole world knows by now, TS12 is coming out, and as Taylor Swift said herself, it's called The Life of a Showgirl. So obviously, many are thinking it could be inspired by the movie that took over the world for a while: The Last Showgirl. For those who don't know, The Last Showgirl is a drama that follows a woman named Shelley (played by Pamela Anderson) who has to come to grips with the vintage Las Vegas showgirl act coming to an end after the place she performs decides to close. More from SheKnows Is Taylor Swift Joining Travis Kelce's Podcast? Fans Are Losing It Over These Clues So many Swifties think the movie heavily inspired the album, and we broke down why people think this. So you know how the colors for Swift's new era are orange and pink? Well, eagle-eyed users on X posted these photos of Anderson in an orange and pink getup for the movie, also in the exact shades as Swift's new era. They posted the photos with the caption reading, 'pamela anderson behind the scenes of the last showgirl (2024).' People have also pointed out that the movie was released in the US on Swift's birthday, Dec 13. And another piece of info people think shows the parallels is that insiders told The US Sun about her secret music video project she was doing in July 2025. They said, 'Full details have to be kept under wraps to not spoil any surprises, but the theme is very glam and vintage. Several stylists worked on the looks, and multiple backup dancers were involved who have worked with her for years.' Vintage? Glam? It's sounding similar!
