Jon Stewart Slams Donald Trump's Conspiracy Theory About Joe Biden

Buzz Feed2 days ago

Daily Show host Jon Stewart on Monday dismissed Elon Musk 's attempt to cut government spending for President Donald Trump as an 'epic fail.'
But what really caught his eye was Musk's spacey demeanor during an Oval Office ceremony held last week to mark the billionaire's departure from the job.
'There might've been an explanation for that behavior,' Stewart said, and cited a New York Times report that Musk had been using a blend of drugs including ketamine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms and Adderall.
That same report said Musk was experiencing bladder issues, which he told friends were caused by the ketamine.
'He told people that?' Stewart asked in disbelief. 'This dude is a one-man anti-drug campaign.'
Stewart then offered up an ad for the mock campaign.
'These are your pants,' he said. 'These are your pants on drugs.'
As he spoke, an image of Musk was altered to show a wet patch forming around his groin.
Elon Musk has denied the New York Times's report, saying he is "NOT taking drugs!"
😂💯
Also, to be clear, I am NOT taking drugs! The New York Times was lying their ass off.
I tried *prescription* ketamine a few years ago and said so on 𝕏, so this not even news. It helps for getting out of dark mental holes, but haven't taken it since then.

Later in the segment, Stewart turned to Trump's latest conspiracy theory: the president shared a post on his Truth Social platform claiming that Joe Biden was executed in 2020 and replaced by clones.
Stewart said it was another example of Trump 'pulling some new crazy thing out of his ass to distract us.'
But Stewart pointed to a big flaw in that conspiracy theory with a question for the president.
'You're saying that the Joe Biden who doesn't even know where he is is actually an incredibly advanced cloned robot?' he asked. 'How much ketamine are you on?'
Much like the image of Musk earlier, the one of Trump shifted to show a wet patch appearing around the groin.
'A lot,' Stewart concluded.

Pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca sues Utah Attorney General over discount medication law

SALT LAKE CITY () — The pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has filed a federal lawsuit against Utah Attorney General Derek Brown and Utah Insurance Commissioner Jon Pike over a recent law that is intended to allow more pharmacies to have access to drug discount programs. In a lawsuit filed May 23, AstraZeneca alleges that Utah SB 69 is unconstitutional. The law was introduced and passed in the 2025 General Assembly, and it went into effect on May 7. The law prohibits drug manufacturers from restricting pharmacies from working with 340B entities, which help pharmacies and patients access medications at a discounted price. Senator Lee responds to the Trump-Musk feud The 340B Drug Pricing Program is a that 'enables covered entities to stretch scarce federal resources as far as possible, reaching more eligible patients and providing more comprehensive services,' according to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) website. It means that drug manufacturers participating in Medicaid agree to provide 'outpatient drugs to covered entities at significantly reduced prices.' All organizations need to be registered and enrolled in the 340B program in order to purchase discounted medications. The law that established the 340B Program, Section 340B(a)(4) of the Public Health Service Act, specified certain types of for the program, such as medical centers that serve rural and other underserved communities and clinics that specialize in particular diseases like HIV/AIDS. SB 69 expands the scope, requiring drug manufacturers to provide the discounts to third-party pharmacies that are contracting with 340B entities, and this is what AstraZeneca is claiming is unconstitutional in its lawsuit. Utah House Republicans elect new leadership members The lawsuit states that because price controls 'disincentivize innovation and destabilize markets,' Congress chose to specifically limit the types of organizations that are eligible in Section 340B. The suit notes that for-profit pharmacies like Walgreens or CVS were not included as eligible, and there have already been several federal court cases ruling that block efforts to require drug manufacturers to provide discounts to contracted pharmacies. AstraZeneca claims in its suit that SB 69 'requires pharmaceutical manufacturers to offer 340B-discounted pricing for sales at an unlimited number of contract pharmacies,' expanding 340B discounts to 'an entirely new category of transactions not covered by Section 340B itself.' The suit alleges that SB 69 directly conflicts with federal law requirements, and therefore, it cannot be enforced against Astrazeneca or other drug manufacturers. AstraZeneca is asking the court to declare SB 69 unconstitutional and to order that Utah AG Derek Brown and Insurance Commissioner Jon Pike not enforce the law against AstraZeneca. Musk floats ‘The American Party' after Trump tiff

Elon Musk floated a new political party on Friday after falling out with President Trump over the big, beautiful bill. He launched a Thursday poll on the social platform X, which he owns, asking about whether or not the country needed a new faction for political nominees. 'The people have spoken. A new political party is needed in America to represent the 80% in the middle! And exactly 80% of people agree. This is fate,' Musk wrote, citing numbers from his survey. He followed up with a potential name for the group, 'The America Party.' In recent days, Musk has railed against Trump for suggesting the United States increase its national debt by $4 trillion as proposed in the bill. The tech giant said it 'undermines' all the work he did at the Department of Government Efficiency, geared towards reducing government spending. However, Trump said the Tesla CEO was mad over slashes to electric vehicle incentives instead of other clauses in the legislation. 'Elon knew the inner workings of this bill better than almost anybody sitting here. … He had no problem with it,' Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. 'All of a sudden he had a problem, and he only developed the problem when he found out that we're going to have to cut the EV mandate, because that's billions and billions of dollars,' he added. Still, Musk, who served as a White House adviser for over 100 days in the Trump administration, backed a call for Trump to be impeached and replaced by his own vice president. The president has publicly questioned Musk's motives for slamming his leadership right after leaving his role in the administration. 'I don't mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago. This is one of the Greatest Bills ever presented to Congress. It's a Record Cut in Expenses, $1.6 Trillion Dollars, and the Biggest Tax Cut ever given. If this Bill doesn't pass, there will be a 68% Tax Increase, and things far worse than that. I didn't create this mess, I'm just here to FIX IT. This puts our Country on a Path of Greatness. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!' Musk also credited himself for Republicans' successful trifecta in November capturing the White House, in addition to majorities in the House and Senate. 'Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate,' Musk said in a post on his social platform X. 'Such ingratitude,' he added. Florida Republican Rep. Jimmy Patronis cast doubt on Musk's claim of creating 'The America Party' in Friday comments, suggesting the two will be 'hanging around again' shortly. 'Elon Musk is not gonna create a new political party,' Patronis told NewsNation's Blake Burman during an appearance on 'The Hill.' 'Trump knows that sometimes you're going to have falling out with those that you trust, you like, that you're friends with. It happens with us in DC all the time. So again. Mark my words. About a month from now, these guys will be hanging around again. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.

Florida Republican foresees Trump-Musk reconciliation

Rep. Jimmy Patronis (R-Fla.) said President Trump and Elon Musk's feud wouldn't last for long, noting that the Republican Party and the president's allies are all a part of 'one big family.' Musk in recent days has criticized the president's budget bill over its effects on the national debt, which the tech billionaire says 'undermines' the work he completed at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The fight reached a fever pitch this week, with the two exchanging harsh words on social media. But as the spat continues, Patronis said he believes the two will soon reconcile. 'I don't know how many times I've seen Donald Trump throw [Sen.] Lindsey Graham [(R-S.C.)] out by the side of the street and say the guy's crazy. But then you know what? The next week they're playing golf together. This is no different,' Patronis said during a Friday appearance on NewsNation's 'The Hill,' referencing the president's sometimes fraught relationship with the South Carolina lawmaker. 'Trump knows that sometimes you're going to have falling out with those that you trust, you like, that you're friends with. It happens with us in D.C. all the time. So again. Mark my words. About a month from now, these guys will be hanging around again,' he added. The Florida lawmaker also poured cold water on Musk's recent proposal to launch a third party to challenge. 'Elon Musk is not gonna create a new new political party,' he told NewsNation. On Friday, Musk floated 'The America Party' as a potential new political faction after posting a poll for his followers to weigh in on the social media platform X the day prior. 'I appreciate what Elon Musk has done with DOGE. He's brought things to light that we're going to act upon in Congress. But the end of the day, the only friends I look at making in Washington DC [are] probably my wife and my kids,' Patronis said. 'The friends I care about are the ones in Congressional District 1 … and they elected Donald Trump,' he added. 'They did not elect Elon Musk.'
