Sydney Sweeney has a new 'bestie'
Sydney Sweeney's new "bestie" is a horse named Moose.
The 27-year-old actress has been filming Echo Valley and during her breaks from shooting her scenes in the thriller, she enjoyed hanging out with the animals on set, and took a particular shine to one of them.
She told Extra: 'Every time between scenes, because I had more downtime, of course, they had all the horses in the stalls, and I'd go over and there was this one horse in particular named Moose that I just hung out with and we became besties. I wanted to take Moose home."
In Echo Valley, Julianne Moore plays Sudney's mother and they found it "so easy" to work together.
Julianne said: "Sydney's so terrific, she's so available, she's so professional, she's so talented, and we just had a really good time, you know, building the relationship and being with each other, and I think we're aware of how important this relationship is, the mother-daughter bond, and how much it can hold, how elastic it is, and how far you can push it with each other.
"It can be volatile, especially when kids are younger, when girls are teenagers and you realise they've had this tremendous history.
"But it was fun. I think we were able to match each other's energy, and we really enjoyed each other's company, and it worked."
Sydney added: "Everyone had always told me you are the kindest person they've ever met, and it's true, like, absolutely beyond kind and generous and thoughtful and just present for everyone on set."
Julianne, 64, was gripped by the script from the minute she read it.
She said: "I remember when I read it, because I was sick in bed with COVID and I was kind of going through scripts, and I was like, 'This is extraordinary!'... All the human drama was there, but then there's this incredible twist. It satisfies my need for, like, domestic, dramatic situations and the scary thriller part. I was really surprised by it, just blown away."
Meanwhile, Sydney teased the long-awaited upcoming third season of Euphoria and promised fans won't be disappointed.
She said: "I can't get too into detail about it, but I think people are gonna be really, really happy.
"I mean, it's crazy. It's like, you're happy 'cause it's crazy."

Orlando Bloom 'took himself too seriously' earlier in his career
Orlando Bloom has admitted he took himself "too seriously" early in his career. The 48-year-old actor - who rose to fame as Legolas in The Lord of the Rings before taking on the role of Will Turner in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise - has admitted he's enjoyed being able to explore his comedic side in his new film Deep Cover. He told Extra: "I'd love to swim in that space, but I didn't feel like I was, like, performing comedy. I felt like I was just playing truth. "Taking fun at the serious actor is low-hanging fruit. I've never been guilty of being [serious]... I think actors taking themselves too seriously is comedic.' His co-star Bryce Dallas Howard quickly interjected, pointing out that he showed his comedy chops in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies She said: "But Pirates is hilarious, and the tone of Pirates, like, even though you play a character that is earnest, you know, and romantic, you are part of the fabric of this tone." However, Orlando quipped: "Bryce, I was taking myself really too seriously at that time in my career, so I'm glad you find it funny 'cause I thought I was doing a really good job of being a really serious pirate!" Orlando and Bryce have enjoyed working together on the show, and he recently described her as an "angel" after teacher his and Katy Perry's daughter Daisy, four, how to paint. During another joint interview on Heart Breakfast, Bryce said: "I hope it is okay me sharing this? Orlando's beautiful family was there and I love his daughter. I like to watercolour..." He interjected: "She taught Daisy to watercolour. By the way, most people sit at the side of the set and are scrolling the 'gram or anything. "And she has set up this beautiful table... She's literally doing these beautiful watercolours, and Daisy would come over and go, 'What are you doing?' " Bryce added that "Daisy is amazing", before Orlando revealed the impact the sweet moment had. He said: "And this angel, she sets her up and she's got this watercolour. "And literally I went home and bought her a watercolour set, and she's been doing water painting, and she loves it now."

NRL star's daughter unveils huge move
A young Australian woman who has spent more than a decade dancing for an NRL team could be set to land one of the most coveted cheerleading gigs in the world. Indianna Carroll, who has cheered for the Manly Sea Eagles' Seabirds for 10 years, has made it to the third round of the NFL's Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders try outs. She will now compete against 64 others and is set to find out if she has progressed on July 14 after an intense four week training camp where she will learn the team's choreography. She has come far — with as many as 4000 women applying for just 10 open spots this year. Overall, there are 36 spots on the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, which was the subject of an incredibly popular Netflix series that debuted in 2024. Ms Carroll, who is the daughter of former NRL player Mark and of Seabirds cheerleading director Monique, left for training camp on Monday and revealed she has 'put her life on hold' to achieve her dream. 'Dallas cheerleaders are the epitome of cheerleading in the world,' Ms Carroll told The Daily Telegraph. 'I have been in a cheerleading outfit with pompoms since I was one year old. It's part of who I am.' It's the third time that Ms Carroll has auditioned, getting to the same place in the try outs last year before being cut. She said she's needed to be mentally and physically strong to not only cope with missing out previously, but in order to push herself to keep going. The young cheerleader said getting as far as she has done has been 'surreal' and she knows it will be 'hectic' in the coming weeks. Ms Carroll said she loves cheerleading, and the NFL team's squad bring a certain kind of sparkle, adding it would be a dream come true to be part of the squad. 'When you love something so passionately, the most sensible thing to do is follow your heart. It's such a burning desire for me. I can't let it rest until I give it a good go. At the end of the day you just have to back yourself and Dallas is the most iconic NFL organisation, for sure,' she said. Ms Carroll, who also works for Zimmerman, said getting to this stage 'felt right', and both her parents have expressed how proud of her they are. Last year, after not making the cut, Ms Carroll penned a lengthy letter to Instagram, saying the experience was 'unforgettable and insightful'. 'While my path ended here this season, I am unhesitatingly thankful for the lessons this has taught me and continues to. Without a little bit of darkness, I'd never see the stars so I will continue to live for the hope of it all,' she shared.

Katy Perry and daughter Daisy wear teddy bear onesies to Luna Park as rumours of Orlando Bloom break-up swirl
Katy Perry may have performed three sold-out shows at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena in the past week, but that didn't stop her from having some fun offstage during the Aussie pit stop of her Lifetimes Tour. The US pop star made sure to visit one of our most famous attractions, Luna Park, with her 4-year-old mini-me daughter Daisy Dove on June 8, making it a Sunday funday indeed. But forget going in incognito for the outing – the duo wore matching bear onesies for their day out, with the 40-year-old accessorising her eye-catching outfit with lilac and orange sneakers and a Balenciaga bumbag strapped to her chest. Enjoying the thrills of the iconic theme park, the mother-daughter duo braved the popular Wild Mouse rollercoaster that offers stunning views of Sydney Harbour, which one can enjoy when not bracing one's self for 4 steep drops in 90 seconds. Perry has sure been out and about during her Aussie trip, which kicked off on June 4 and continues in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide until June 30. Last week, she was spotted trying to go under the radar at an unlikely location just hours after landing Down Under. The pop star landed in Sydney on June 3 one day ahead of her first show at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney Olympic Park, when she was seen wandering around nearby Lidcombe Shopping Centre in Western Sydney with Daisy in her arms. On this public outing, she kept the bear onesie at home, opting for a low-key tracksuit and jumper ensemble topped with a beige cap and dark sunglasses. Perry was seen browsing at Aldi supermarket and then had a look inside discount store Kmart. Despite her attempts to remain hidden, Perry was spotted by some fans, with whom she happily chatted and signed autographs. While Daisy has been firmly by her side, her long-term partner Orlando Bloom – Daisy's dad – is nowhere to be seen. In recent days, there have been multiple reports that their almost-decade long relationship is on the rocks. 'It's over,' one source told Page Six. 'They are waiting till her tour is over before they split.' Perry's tour, which kicked off in Mexico City on April 23, will end later this year on December 7 at Abu Dhabi's Etihad Park. The pair first met in 2016 at a Golden Globes after-party and were engaged on Valentine's Day in 2019. They welcomed Daisy in August 2020. Sources have told People that stress over the poor reception of her new album, 143, has caused 'tension' in the stars' relationship. 'Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album,' a source told the publication. 'It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension.' Another source told the magazine, 'She was also disappointed in some of the tour reviews. It's put stress on their relationship.' The singer herself fuelled rumours that she's split with Bloom after making cryptic remarks onstage. Perry was performing on the third night in Sydney when she alluded to a break-up. While singing her break-up song I'm Still Breathing, she opened up a packet of TimTams and began to snack on it. 'This song is about a break-up, and this TimTam saved me,' she told the audience. 'Thank you,' she added before offering out the biscuits to her fans in the front row.
