He has now been jailed for three years and five months and made the subject of a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

Varinder Hayre, prosecuting, said: "On December 21 at about 9pm, a member of the public reported that a male in a car has been taking photographs and videos of students in university students' accommodation.
"The member of the public also said he has seen the male in the car about four years ago."
The bystander also called police on December 10 and 14 but officers did not attend, the court heard.
Hersborg was caught by police wearing black gloves and had black plastic bags lining the seats.

When asked what he was doing, Hersborg claimed he had gone for drinks but felt like he was going to "pass out" on the way home so pulled over.
But officers discovered a battery in his pocket and a camera and telescope in his car.
Police recovered 68 images and videos that showed a woman in just a T-shirt, a different female sitting in her bedroom and another "seemingly getting dressed".
A search was carried out at Hersborg's home and a large quantity of digital devices was seized.
He gave no comment in his police interview, except to say he was "sorry for the whole situation".

His social media included video of a treatment session with Strictly star Viscountess
Hersborg has also worked with Italian Serie A
football
team Brescia and the Danish
Tennis
Federation.
He has been suspended from practising as an Osteopath by the General Osteopathic Council.
Alex Weichselbaum of the Crown Prosecution Service said: "Hersborg operated in plain sight for too long and, having targeted thousands of women over 12 years, we believe the scale and significance of his offending makes him one of London's most prolific voyeurs.
"His meticulously planned acts included setting up secret cameras in his clinic and covertly filming women - both in public and when they thought they were in the privacy of their own
homes
.
"Hersborg deliberately abused the trust of his unwitting patients by filming them in intimate positions and targeted strangers for his own sexual gratification.
"Women should be free to live their lives without unwanted intrusion – particularly from sexual offenders like Hersborg who deliberately chose to
film
or photograph them in their most private or intimate moments."

Woman 'fuelled by cocaine & alcohol' jailed for killing ex on Christmas morning

A woman "motivated by anger and jealousy and fuelled by cocaine and alcohol" who murdered her ex-boyfriend on Christmas Day has been jailed for life. Kirsty Carless plunged a knife into 31-year-old Louis Price's heart in the early hours of December 25, 2024 after a friend sent her a picture of his Tinder profile, Stafford Crown Court heard. Described as a "manipulative, emotionally volatile and jealous" woman, she was on police bail for strangling Mr Price the month before when she carried out the murder, reports The Mirror. On Thursday, she was told she will serve a minimum of 25 years behind bars. Undated handout photo issued by Staffordshire Police of Kirsty Carless, who murdered her ex-partner Louis Price on Christmas Day last year (Image: PA) Earlier this week, after around a day of deliberation, a jury of seven men and five women unanimously found Carless, 33, guilty of murder and possession of an offensive weapon. She was also found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm by a majority of 11 to one in connection with an incident in November 2024. She was cleared of intentional strangulation in relation to the same incident. The trial was told Carless, from Cannock, Staffordshire, had been at the pub drinking double vodka and cokes with a male friend on Christmas eve. She later had sex with the male at his home before a female friend sent her a screenshot of Mr Price's Tinder profile at around 1.30am on Christmas Day, which left her angry. Carless left the male friend's home, took a taxi back to her house, where she picked up a kitchen knife and got another taxi to Mr Price's parents' address, where she expected to find him with a woman. CCTV showed her running up the front path into the house and then "stalking" him around the garden before he was later found with a single stab wound to the chest on the conservatory floor. She was spotted on CCTV (Image: PA) She took a large knife with her (Image: PA) Carless had called Mr Price 45 times between 2.15am and 2.44am while she waited for the taxi to take her to the address where he had been staying since their relationship ended. After arriving at the address, she asked the taxi driver to wait outside while she went into the property to stab Mr Price at around 3am. The taxi driver reported that around 30 seconds after Carless let herself into the property with a key, he heard a "very loud and prolonged" scream from a man and that he "sounded scared". Less than two minutes after arriving, Carless was "anxious and sweating" as she got back into the taxi and demanded the driver take her to her parents' home, where she admitted what she had done and 999 was called. Father-of-six Mr Price had been considered by police to be "at very high risk of domestic abuse" and Carless was on police bail at the time of the fatal stabbing after strangling Mr Price on November 11, 2024. Louis Price (Image: PA) On that occasion, Mr Price phoned 999 to say Carless had poured bleach over tracksuits worth £400 (approximately €460) after she put them in the bin, had thrown a glass candle holder at him, pulled him down the stairs and choked him. He was seen crying on police body-worn video footage, telling the officer: "It's f*****g embarrassing... it can't keep happening, man." In a witness statement after the incident, he said the relationship, which started in 2021, had been "on the whole, abusive", that she had stopped him doing things he liked, such as playing football, and had physically abused him. The trial was told of several previous incidents in which the police had been called, including an incident on March 5, 2023, in which Carless had said Mr Price had punched her and been violent and he was arrested, before later retracting her statement. A neighbour had recalled seeing Carless hitting Mr Price with a metal pole in the ribs outside her house on a different occasion. Mr Price's friend, Demi-Louise Deakin, also told the trial he had confided in her about his on-off relationship with Carless when they attended a funeral at the end of November 2024, telling her he was "scared of Kirsty" and feared "something bad would happen" if he did not leave her. In her evidence to the trial, Carless said she had no recollection of stabbing him, was "not a violent person" and had only gone to Mr Price's address as she believed he had taken money from inside a card she had in her home. She said she picked up a knife with the intent to destroy the caravan he was staying in in his parents' back garden and had "panicked" after Mr Price was stabbed and fled. Deported knife thug allowed to RETURN to Britain after judge ruled he's ‘matured' since street muggings

A DEPORTED knifeman could return to the UK after an immigration judge ruled he had 'matured'. Italian Prince Umoh, 30, was banned from Britain for two 'very serious' street muggings in 2015. 3 A deported knifeman could return to the UK after an immigration judge ruled he had 'matured' Credit: Getty 3 Judge Anna-Rose Landes said Umoh's case was not that 'extreme' Credit: Getty Images - Getty The offender, who was 18 at the time, caused his victims 'psychological trauma' after the attacks. A court also heard Umoh was the "ringleader" of a gang who would threaten people at knifepoint to steal their mobile phones. He was deported in June 2015, but But an upper immigration tribunal has now ended his ban after it decided he had been successfully rehabilitated and is "committed to a lawful lifestyle". Read More This means he can come back to Britain if the Home Office allows it. Umoh has been residing in Italy and Ireland since be deported but appealed to be let back into the UK after 'developing himself through education and taking up a vocation to a relatively high level'. The court was told he was 'clearly remorseful' and had 'matured and developed a proper attitude'. The Home Office had previously appealed a lower immigration tribunal ruling to revoke his ban last year. Most read in The Sun It argued that 'offences involving knives were those which caused deep public revulsion'. This led to the case being heard at the upper tribunal, where judge Anna-Rose Landes said Umoh's case was not that 'extreme'. She said: 'It was very serious [crime], two street muggings of phones from young people with the use of a knife causing fortunately not serious physical injury but psychological trauma, with aggravating circumstances. 'Nevertheless, although Mr Umoh was the ringleader, he had not offended before, and he was only 18. "The offending was not gang related. 'I observe that the public recognise that young men can commit very serious crimes for which they should be severely punished, but can also with greater maturity and reflection, rehabilitate and become useful members of society.' Judge Landes added: 'Revoking the deportation order means that Mr Umoh is no longer excluded from entering the UK by operation of law. "The revocation does not itself give permission for Mr Umoh to enter the UK or remain in the UK.' This comes after an Albanian criminal was allowed to stay in Britain earlier this year partly because An immigration tribunal ruled it would have been "unduly harsh" for the child to be deported to Albania with his father due to his sensitivity around food as well other "additional" needs. Father Klevis Disha, 39, successfully appealed his deportation at a lower-tier immigration tribunal in which his son's distaste for foreign chicken nuggets was listed as the only example of his food difficulties. The case also focused on his son's needs in regards to sensory issues and difficulties communicating emotions. The judge in the case had allowed Disha's appeal as the deportation would have breached his right to a family life under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) - citing the impact his removal could have on his son. Other needs were also listed for his son, known only as C, that claimed he would have suffered if he remained in the UK separated from his father or if he was forced to go to Albania. The court was also told that education plans were in place to support C's learning, although the boy had no formal diagnosis of special educational needs. Using a fake name and falsely claiming to have been born in the former Yugoslavia, Disha, 39, entered the UK illegally as a 15-year-old unaccompanied minor in 2001. Despite having his asylum claim rejected, he gained UK citizenship in 2007 after being granted exceptional leave to remain, followed by an indefinite leave to remain. With his partner, another Albanian who gained UK citizenship in 2006, he had two daughters and a son. However, Disha was jailed for two years after being caught with £250,000 in cash, known to be the proceeds of crime, in September 2017. In another case, an illegal immigrant who used fake documents and was jailed for fraud was allowed to stay in the UK - because she has lived here so long. Joyce Baidoo overstayed in the UK for 25 years but an asylum court ruled she has been gone from Ghana for too long to send her back. The 57-year-old has been in the UK without permission since 2000, even avoiding being kicked out of the country when she was jailed for fraud. Now, 25 years after her arrival, the Ghanaian has won a human rights case to stay in the UK. Ms Baidoo argued she has been in the UK for so long she would not be able to "reintegrate" into Ghanaian culture. 3 An Albanian criminal was allowed to stay in Britain earlier this year partly because his 10-year-old son does not like foreign chicken nuggets Credit: Getty
