Your Choice Plumbers Drives into the Future with a New Fleet of Ford Transit Custom Vans
Melbourne's plumbing experts invest in a new fleet of agile, custom-fitted Ford Transit Customs to enhance service and safety in city streets. 'We pride ourselves on being a reliable and efficient service, and our vehicles are the backbone of our operations'— spokesperson for Your Choice Plumbers MELBOURNE, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA, August 10, 2025 / / -- Your Choice Plumbers, a leading provider of home plumbing repairs and expert plumbing services in Melbourne, today announced the strategic expansion of its vehicle fleet with the addition of the new Ford Transit Custom 2025 LWB 320L TREND 2.0L DI vans. This investment reflects the company's unwavering commitment to operational excellence, driver safety, and delivering superior service to its customers. The decision to choose the Ford Transit Custom was a result of a careful evaluation process, with the van's perfect balance of price, features, and functionality aligning seamlessly with the company's business model. 'We pride ourselves on being a reliable and efficient service, and our vehicles are the backbone of our operations,' said a spokesperson for Your Choice Plumbers. 'The Ford Transit Custom LWB provides the ideal platform for our custom-designed van fit-outs, ensuring our plumbers have all the necessary materials and tools organized and easily accessible to carry out home plumbing repairs with ease.' A key factor in selecting the Ford Transit Custom was its long wheelbase, which, despite its manageable size for city driving, offered the perfect canvas for a highly efficient custom-designed fit-out. This bespoke interior was masterminded by the owner of Your Choice Plumbers, a plumber Melbourne with years of hands-on experience who designed the fit-out with absolute precision. This masterful configuration allows the team to carry a hot water system, full drain cleaning equipment, and all necessary plumbing tools and materials within a small LWB van. This innovation means the company did not need to upsize to a larger vehicle type, such as a Ford Transit, which plumbers often find too cumbersome to maneuver through Melbourne's CBD, tight suburban streets, and customer driveways. The result is a fleet that is both fully equipped and highly agile, enabling faster, more efficient service. The Ford Transit Custom 2025, praised for its all-independent suspension and economical turbo-diesel powertrain, offers a significant upgrade in driver comfort. The vans feature a three-seat cabin with an ergonomic layout, including a column-mounted gearshift and an electric park brake, creating a flat floor up front and a spacious, uncluttered workspace. This design minimizes driver fatigue and enhances the overall driving experience. Safety remains a top priority for Your Choice Plumbers. The new fleet is equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, and Blind Spot Monitoring. The vans also come standard with side thorax and curtain airbags, earning them a high safety rating and providing peace of mind for both the company and its drivers. With their sleek and professional appearance, the new Ford Transit Custom vans not only represent a significant operational upgrade but also project a modern and trustworthy image to customers. This fleet expansion is a testament to Your Choice Plumbers' dedication to investing in the best resources to support its skilled team and to continue its mission of providing fast, effective, and professional home plumbing repairs across the region. About Your Choice Plumbers Your Choice Plumbers is a trusted provider of home plumbing repairs and a full range of expert plumbing services throughout Melbourne. Toyota GR Supra Gets V8 Power for Supercars Racing — But Not for the Street
Toyota GR Supra Gets V8 Power for Supercars Racing — But Not for the Street originally appeared on Autoblog. Toyota has confirmed what many enthusiasts have long dreamed of: the GR Supra is getting a V8. There's just one minor issue — it won't be sold to the V8-powered GR Supra is being developed exclusively for Australia's Supercars Championship, with no plans for a road-going version. That might sting for some, but there's still plenty to get excited about, especially if you enjoy seeing Toyota flex its motorsport muscle. V8, But Only For The Track Starting in 2026, Toyota will enter the Supercars series with a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 GR Supra, built with the help of Walkinshaw Andretti United and Brad Jones Racing. Under the hood is the 2UR-GSE, the same Lexus V8 found in the LC 500 and IS 500. That engine will go toe-to-toe with the Mustang and Camaro in what remains one of the most V8-happy race series left on not just a badge swap, either. This is a proper, fire-breathing Supra that will go racing at Bathurst and beyond. But as for customer cars? Toyota's been clear: this one is for racing only. A Supra Caught Between Generations The V8 arrival also highlights where the road-going GR Supra stands today: at the end of its run. Toyota hasn't said much publicly, but the A90 Supra is expected to bow out by mid-2026. Sales have slowed significantly — even as its more affordable siblings continue to perform solidly in the U.S. market. In fact, the cheapest Toyota models, including the Corolla, have recently seen updated pricing and spec tweaks to remain competitive. The 2026 Corolla, for example, still undercuts the Civic by around $2,000 and sold over 120,000 units in the first half of this Toyota continues to promote value-first entries like America's cheapest new Toyota, keeping its entry-level cars relevant in a market increasingly skewed toward pricey crossovers and electric while the Supra has served as a halo car — and let's face it, a very cool one — it hasn't been the volume player. That leaves cars like the Corolla and Camry doing the sales heavy lifting. Even then, Toyota's Q2 sales are being pressured by Ford's year-over-year surge, which could spell trouble heading into Q3. No Road-Going V8 (For Now) Despite some fan speculation — and occasional hints from Toyota engineers — the company has confirmed this V8 isn't road-legal and won't be offered to the public. Internal discussions about a production version reportedly ended before they ever really started. Toyota's sticking with the BMW-sourced inline-six until the model retires, and any hopes of a factory-built V8 Supra for the street remain locked behind a race for brand image alone, this V8 project matters. It shows Toyota hasn't forgotten what made the Supra badge iconic in the first place: noise, aggression, and racing credibility. Even if you'll never drive one, you'll still be able to hear it scream around Mount Panorama come 2026. Thai King Endorses Vitai's Appointment as Bank of Thailand Chief
Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn has endorsed the appointment of Vitai Ratanakorn as the nation's new central bank governor, more than two weeks after the cabinet picked the seasoned banker for the coveted role. The royal endorsement caps a monthslong selection process that has been overshadowed by concerns over government attempts to erode the autonomy of the Bank of Thailand. Vitai is set to take office from Oct. 1, according to a Royal Gazette notification issued Sunday. Incumbent Governor Sethaput Suthiwartnarueput is due to complete his five-year term on Sept. 30.
