Will Smith teases 'Hancock 2' and Zendaya's possible role in sequel
Will Smith has hinted that a long-awaited sequel to his 2008 superhero movie Hancock is in development. During a surprise appearance on xQc's Twitch livestream, the Oscar-winning actor teased a fresh concept for Hancock 2 and revealed that Zendaya is being approached for a role.
'There's a really cool Hancock 2 idea,' Smith said. 'We haven't even talked about it, but I'm going to give you one little piece. Zendaya [is] being approached for a role in Hancock 2.'
Released in 2008, Hancock starred Smith as a troubled and reckless superhero suffering from amnesia, with Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman in supporting roles. The film was directed by Peter Berg and written by Vince Gilligan and Vy Vincent Ngo. It grossed over $629 million worldwide, making a sequel a topic of discussion for years.
Since its release, talks of a follow-up have surfaced multiple times. In 2009, Berg confirmed that both Smith and Theron were set to return. A few years later, the director cited scheduling conflicts as the primary reason the sequel had yet to materialize. In 2020, Theron expressed her willingness to reprise her role if the project ever moved forward.
The recent revelation from Smith has reignited excitement among fans who have been waiting over a decade for Hancock 2. With Zendaya's potential involvement and a fresh storyline, the sequel could bring a new dynamic to the franchise.
Sony Pictures has yet to confirm an official release date or additional casting details, but Smith's remarks suggest that Hancock 2 may finally be on its way.

Jared Leto denies allegations after getting accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women
Jared Leto has denied multiple allegations of sexual misconduct following a detailed report published by Air Mail on June 7. The report includes accounts from several women, with four alleging they were underage when they first interacted with the Oscar-winning actor and musician. Two women, DJ Allie Teilz and Laura La Rue, went on the record. Teilz stated in a resurfaced 2012 Facebook post, 'You're not really in L.A. until Jared Leto tries to force himself on you backstage… In a kilt.. And a snow hat.' She added on Instagram, 'I was assaulted and traumatised by this creep when I was 17. He knew my age and didn't care.' Leto's representative responded, 'Ms. Teilz's allegations are demonstrably false.' Laura La Rue alleged she met Leto at an animal rights benefit in 2008, told him she was 16, and later visited him at his studio. She claimed he once appeared completely naked. Leto's rep responded, 'Their communications contain nothing sexual or inappropriate,' and noted La Rue had allegedly applied to be his personal assistant—an assertion she denies. Additional claims include one woman who said Leto began calling her repeatedly after they met at a Los Angeles café when she was 16. She alleged the calls became sexual. Another actress claimed that, after turning 18, Leto exposed himself and initiated unwanted sexual contact. Leto's rep issued a blanket statement to Air Mail: 'All of the allegations are expressly denied.' The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman has not made a personal public comment as of this publication.

Timbaland launches AI-generated artist TaTa under new company Stage Zero
Grammy-winning producer Timbaland has announced the launch of a new AI-driven entertainment company, Stage Zero, and introduced its first AI-generated artist, TaTa. The artist, depicted as a pink-haired virtual performer, will represent what Timbaland describes as a new genre: 'A-pop, artificial pop.' Photo: Rolling Stone Stage Zero co-founder Rocky Mudaliar told Rolling Stone that TaTa marks an early step in redefining pop music through AI. Timbaland, who now serves as creative director at Suno—an AI music tool—said he became interested in the technology after uploading his unfinished demos and being captivated by the AI-generated voice responses. 'It came to a point where I'm like, 'Yo, this voice, it's amazing.'' While humans will remain part of the creative process behind TaTa's music, reactions have been divided. The music industry is still grappling with how AI fits into copyright law, with Suno already facing legal action from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for allegedly using copyrighted material to train its AI models. There is no confirmed release date for TaTa's first single, but Stage Zero plans to make her as lifelike as possible with an active online presence. Mudaliar believes public scepticism will wane over time, saying '[AI is] not going anywhere,' and comparing its rise to the acceptance of social media influencers.
