Iraq's Olympic football team begin Baghdad camp after China trip postponed
Baghdad ( – The Iraqi Olympic national football team began a new training camp in Baghdad on Monday (July 7, 2025), holding its first session at Al-Zawraa club's stadium under the leadership of head coach Emad Mohammed. The camp marks the beginning of preparations for the team's upcoming major tournaments. The first session was attended by Iraqi Football Association (IFA) executive office member Ghanim Oraibi and administrative manager Nadim Karim. The domestic camp was initiated after a planned training camp in China, which was set to include two friendly matches, was postponed until next week due to a delay in obtaining entry visas from the Chinese side.
