Oprah Winfrey Appears To Diss Absent Broadway Legend At The Tony Awards
Oprah Winfrey seemed to snipe at actor Patti LuPone during the Tony Awards on Sunday.
LuPone had recently criticized two fellow stage actors who are Black, lighting up Broadway with controversy.
Winfrey appeared to address the simmering beef as she presented the Best Actress in a Musical award. LuPone wasn't there (it's unclear whether she ever intended to go, People reported) but she probably got the message.
'This astounding year in live theater turns to the women whose work sparked lively conversations among theater fans,' Winfrey said while giving a few knowing glances.
When the laughter and applause subsided, she declared, 'A lot o' talkin' goin' on.'

The comments were widely regarded as shade at LuPone.
The three-time Tony winner took umbrage at actor Kecia Lewis' accusation she was being 'racially microaggressive.' LuPone, headlining a neighboring show, had complained about the sound volume of a production that Lewis starred in last year.
LuPone called her 'bitch' in the New Yorker. She also took aim at six-time Grammy winner Audra McDonald, who was nominated but did not win on Sunday, for supporting Lewis' remarks. LuPone said it was 'typical' of McDonald and that she 'was not a friend.'
LuPone later apologized, but Oprah wasn't about to let the matter go apparently.

Clay Aiken says he'll need to be sedated as son trains to be a pilot
Singer Clay Aiken's son, whom he shares with longtime friend Jaymes Foster, is now 16 years old. And he's already working toward a major life goal. While talking with People, Aiken revealed that his son Parker Aiken is training to become a pilot. 'He's known what he wants to do for, gosh, his whole life,' the former American Idol contestant revealed to People. 'It was a little weird to me because I didn't know what I wanted to do — I still don't.' According to the proud, albeit nervous, father, Aiken said Parker has never once 'changed his mind' when it comes to fulfilling his dreams of being a pilot, sharing that the teenager has 'just went and did his first solo flight two weeks ago, so a big milestone there.' 'Now we're planning on the next one, which I'll need even more Xanax for,' Aiken admitted to People, noting that flight will consist of flying across the state on his own. 'I'm not going to be able to see the plane,' Aiken explained, saying he has yet to join Parker on one of his flights, although his mom Jaymes Foster has. 'You're gonna have to sedate me. Just call an anesthesiologist because I don't have the nerves for that,' despite the rave reviews Parker has received from his instructors. 'His instructors all have said he's better than the adults that they've taught, but like I said, he's been focused on it for years, and that's what he wants to do,' Aiken told People. 'I'm not worried about his skill level. I'm worried about the plane. I told him, 'When you are flying in a big plane, we can talk, but I don't do those JFK Jr. planes.'' 'He knows what he's doing,' Aiken conceded, per People. 'His idol is [pilot] Sully Sullenberger,' who famously landed a commercial plane in the Hudson River after a bird strike disabled both engines, 'and he wants to be as good as him. And that's what he puts his energy into, and I think he is.' Aiken appeared on the second season of Fox's 'American Idol' TV show, according to his website. He finished second place on the show in 2003, TV Insider reported.

Kate Middleton Embraces Power Dressing in Blue McQueen Suit for Museum Visit
Kate Middleton stepped out for a solo public appearance during a visit to the Victoria & Albert museum in London on Tuesday. The Princess of Wales met with Tristram Hunt, director of the V&A, and other distinguished personnel during her tour of the museum. For her daytime outing, Middleton favored one of her go-to designers, wearing a look courtesy of McQueen. The British royal family member styled a crepe jacket in electric blue and cigarette wool trousers in the same shade of blue courtesy of McQueen. She also wore a pair of pointed-toe suede pumps in navy by Prada. Middleton added a black belt to her attire as well. As for her jewelry pieces, Middleton wore a pair of blue lapis and moonstone earrings by London-based label Carousel Jewels. She added another piece with her yellow gold necklace courtesy of New York City-based designer Laura Lombardi. McQueen has long been a favorite label of the Princess of Wales. The British royal's April 2011 wedding dress, worn for her nuptials at Westminster Abbey, was designed by former McQueen creative director Sarah Burton. The designer left the fashion house in 2023 for an appointment as the creative director of Givenchy. Middleton's latest look not only highlights one of her preferred designers, but also a style that's grown in popularity among contemporary royal women. The Princess of Wales has often incorporated power dressing and suited looks into her royal wardrobe, styling pieces by Burberry, Roland Mouret and more designers. The power suit for royal women has deep roots, dating to Princess Diana's memorable Catherine Walker suited moment and Hackett waistcoat from 1988. In the decades since, women like Queen Letizia of Spain, Meghan Markle, Queen Mary of Denmark and more have styled power suiting moments, specifically for daytime occasions. Glee Reunion: Chris Colfer and Darren Criss Bring #Klaine to the Tonys, 10 Years After Series Finale
The 2025 Tony Awards was a big night for a lot of people — but mostly for the cast of Glee. Where do we even begin? Perhaps with Jonathan Groff (aka Jesse St. James) getting everyone on their feet with a performance from the Bobby Darin musical Just in Time? Or maybe Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) presenting an award while celebrating her own impending return to Broadway in the revival of Chess? Or how about Darren Criss (Blaine Anderson) taking home his first-ever Tony Award for his role in this year's Best Musical winner Maybe Happy Ending? Coincidentally, the 2015 series finale of Glee also took place at the Tonys, with Rachel's now-husband Jesse cheering her on from the audience as she took home her first statue. And did we mention that Rachel also became a surrogate for Kurt and Blaine? That finale really did give us everything.
