Only Men Aloud to return to Llandrindod Wells in November
The award-winning male vocal group will perform their Christmas show, A Merry Little Christmas, at The Albert Hall on November 28.
The group, founded by Tim Rhys-Evans MBE in 2000, was created to rejuvenate the Welsh male choral tradition.
Since then, they have gained international recognition for their varied repertoire, which includes classical, opera, pop, musical theatre, and traditional Welsh hymns.
Their popularity soared in 2008 after winning the BBC talent competition Last Choir Standing.
This achievement led to a multi-album deal with Universal Records.
In 2010, the group won the Classical Brit Award for Best Album, solidifying their status as one of the UK's leading vocal ensembles.
This year, Only Men Aloud is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a series of performances and recordings.
Tickets for the one-night-only event are expected to sell quickly, with a VIP upgrade available.
This includes access to the sound check and a photo opportunity with the group.

MS for Delyn Roedd hi'n wych bod yn yr Eisteddfod yn Wrecsam yr wythnos diwethaf – it was great to be at the Eisteddfod in Wrexham last week. The Eisteddfod is the largest cultural festival in Europe and this year it was held close to home in Wrexham – it's a celebration of everything that's great about being Welsh and it gave me the chance to use my Welsh language as much as possible! It was also good to see so many individuals and organisations visiting, taking part and hosting sessions in the tents and on the Maes, and I also spent some time on the Senedd stand as part of my work as Chair of the Standards of Conduct Committee. Last week it was good to join Clwyd East MP Becky Gittins and talk to constituents about bus travel and a range of topics at Mold market, then later on in the afternoon I headed to Gwernaffield to deliver a summer update and let residents know about one of my upcoming street surgeries – a great way for me to reach out regularly to communities across the constituency to talk about the issues that they care about. Regular readers will know that I'm a big fan of reading and we have some great bookshops in our corner of North East Wales, especially my local one Mold Bookshop which I visit regularly. Our area also has plenty of libraries which provide not only books but help to support our communities in a range of different ways – during the summer holidays, Flintshire libraries are taking part in a programme designed to engage children in reading across the school holidays called the Summer Reading Challenge. This year, the theme is 'Story Garden', where magical creatures, wild tales and the wonders of nature come to life. To complete the Summer Reading Challenge, children are asked to read at least six books, choosing from stories, graphic novels, non-fiction books or audio books. Finally, I'd like to congratulate all the riders who cycled from Paris to Geneva to raise funds to help Palestine recently – the whopping 350 miles were covered in just over four days to raise money for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) and so far the team has raised £175,000 and are now aiming for £200,000. Every penny supports MAP's vital, lifesaving work on the ground in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon and the organisation was among the first to respond to the emergency in October 2023 and remains one of the last INGOs on the ground. Alter Bridge announce Blackbird Festival at Cardiff Castle
Alter Bridge will headline the first-ever Blackbird Festival at Cardiff Castle on Saturday, June 27, 2026, marking their first performance in Wales in more than seven years. Myles Kennedy, vocalist and guitarist for Alter Bridge, said: "We realised we haven't played Wales in over seven years. "To make up for lost time, we thought it would be cool to do something extra special. "So with that said, we are stoked to announce the Blackbird Festival. The festival is Alter Bridge's first Welsh appearance in more than seven years (Image: Supplied) "Not only does this commemorate 20-plus years of being a band, but it's also a way to show our appreciation for the fans in Wales who've patiently waited for our return." The festival will feature a lineup of handpicked artists, including special guests and Welsh metal veterans Skindred, who are known for their high-energy fusion of metal, reggae and punk. Also performing are Merthyr Tydfil rock trio Florence Black and soulful rockers Cardinal Black. A fifth act is still to be announced. DESTINATION X unveiled a brutal 'sabotage' twist - with one player receiving a huge advantage amid a savage cliffhanger. Host Rob Brydon privately informed Josh that he would have the power to sabotage a rival. Elimination occurs when the line-up place their 'X' markers based on where they believe themselves to be. Josh received the ability to move someone's 'X' by 250km, which could effectively ensure their exit. Reacting to the game-changing news, he said: "I feel like I've got a lot of influence on the game, which I like having." Josh also didn't have to take part in the next challenge - but got to see a big clue alongside the winners. Elsewhere, he identified fellow players Nick, Judith and Claire as potential targets for sabotage. Although Josh seemingly planned to choose Nick, viewers will have to learn the outcome. Whether Nick - who was identified by the others as the biggest threat - has his exit sealed or survives to play on remains to be seen. Viewers will also have to wait to discover where exactly the latest Destination X is. Players and fans alike seem to agree it's Italy, but are divided on the precise spot. One person wrote on X: "They're defo on the south of Italy near Sicily." Another penned: "Changed me mind, Italy, Venice?" A third chimed in: "Donatella Versace.
