It only took a twenty-second video clip for Taylor Swift fans to start buying into the singer's 12th album.
Swift announced the name of her newest album, "The Life of a Showgirl," in a teaser for an Aug. 13 episode of "New Heights," the podcast hosted by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce.
After the news broke, Swifties were quick to create their own merchandise, from friendship bracelets to crewnecks inspired by the album's name and color scheme.
While Swift's store typically releases official merchandise, items for "The Life of a Showgirl" haven't been released yet, with the exception of a vinyl that's available to preorder.
Here's a look at the fan-made merchandise available online.
Swift's team files trademark applications for 'The Life of a Showgirl'
TAS Rights Management, a company that manages Swift's intellectual property, filed trademark applications on Aug. 11 for phrases related to "The Life of a Showgirl."
According to applications filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the company is pending approval for trademarks of the term "The Life of a Showgirl" and the abbreviation "TLOAS."
This could hint that merch is on its way — the applications cover the use of the terms for goods like jewelry, stationery, tops and more.
While the trademarks are pending, if approved, they would limit the use of the album's name in fan-made merchandise. However, Swifties have still gotten creative with their nods to "The Life of a Showgirl."

Many showgirl-inspired merch items for sale include the orange and green color scheme that has quickly become synonymous with the album.

Pink Dinosaur, an online and Kansas City-based boutique, launched preorders for a line of shirts featuring terms like "new era," "TS12" and "Taylor 12."

Independent sellers on Etsy have also released items celebrating the album, from phone cases and shirts to friendship bracelets.
According to Etsy's seller handbook, third-party sellers may be able to use designs and phrases inspired by items such as albums and celebrity names. However, if items infringe or violate existing trademarks, both the platform and intellectual property owners can push to take down the products.
TheRomanticsCo, a Texas-based seller, rolled out a slew of showgirl shirts with phrases like "off duty showgirl," "showgirl era" and "showgirl life."
